Love Began with the First Meeting

Chapter 1078 Extra Story 59 Of Sweetness Between Bri And Mol Settlement

Therefore, it would be really hard for her to handle the case, regardless of who was right and who was wrong. Evelyn was pushed to the ground by Jerome. There were bruises on Evelyn's arms and legs. Then Charlie hit Jerome on the face.

Both parents were led to the office by the teacher. When the middle-aged man saw Jerome, he almost cried out at the sight of his son's horrible face. Jerome was his only son, the apple of his eyes and the reason for his existence. He had always doted on his child and treated him more as important as his own life. Whatever Jerome demanded, he would try his best to get it for him. How could he stand his son being beaten by someone else?

Interestingly, Jerome's physical appearance was exactly the same as his father. He had grown more horizontally than vertically. Before they came, he was glaring at Charlie with an eager expression of getting revenge on his face. When he saw his father, he immediately wailed in sorrow. He cried out so loud that everyone who heard him would believe that he had been ill-treated.

On the contrary, Charlie was staring at Jerome with a disdainful look. When he saw his father, he held on to his sister and brought her to him. Evelyn wasn't badly injured, but there were a few scars on her delicate white skin. Some medicinal fluid had been applied on the scars, but they were still red.

When Evelyn saw her father, she winked her cute big eyes, and quietly murmured, "Daddy, please don't blame Charlie. It's my fault. I didn't protect myself well."

Standing just beside Brian, the teacher heard Evelyn. She couldn't help feeling sorry for the little girl. The reactions of both Evelyn and Charlie were totally different from that of Jerome. The teacher suddenly realized that, though the kids received the same education in the kindergarten, what really made a difference was the education from their parents.

Seeing his child's innocent eyes, Brian squatted down, one leg kneeling on the ground, examining her arm he gently asked, "Does it hurt?"

A bit afraid that her father might scold her, Evelyn shook her little head and nervously replied, "Daddy, it's not Charlie's fault. That food box was prepared by mom. I promised mom that I would finish the food. But it dropped on the floor. I couldn't eat that anymore. Jerome didn't even say sorry!" Then she closed her eyes in sorrow and tears were brimming on her lids.

In the Long family, Evelyn wasn't the most beautiful, but she had a pair of adorable eyes, which were shockingly pure and vivid, so vivid that they seemed to talk. The long eyelashes would swing up and down, like a fan made of black feather.

"I don't blame Charlie." Hushing her, Brian smiled caringly to his daughter. "He did the right thing. He should protect you. Although I don't think force should be the right method. But I'm not against it. Sometimes, brutal force is the best way to solve a problem."

Hearing what Brian had said, the teacher opened up her mouth. Obviously, she was shocked by the advice Brian gave to his children. Just now, she felt that home education would play a major role in the children's development, but now, she suddenly felt that everything would have two sides. Whether home education was good or bad that would really depend on the individual family.

On the other side, Jerome's father was consoling his hurt son. He promised his son that he would make sure that Charlie would be penalized for hitting him. Then he yelled to the teacher, "Where is the headmaster? I want to talk to the headmaster."

The teacher knew clearly that it would be out of her capability to resolve the issue, so she had informed the school way earlier. However, it just happened that the headmaster was out of school for today attending to some important matters.

"Sorry, Mr. Shen, I have already informed the headmaster. He is on his way back here. He just has some important meetings." Cold sweat was running down her cheeks and her hands were starting to feel cold. She looked at Jerome's father and then she turned to Brian. "Mr. Long, Mr. Shen, can you please go to the meeting room and let's settle the issue after the headmaster is back?"

No matter how the issue would be settled, the parents shouldn't do it in front of the kids.

With that, Tyronn gave some instructions to the man with golden glasses. Then he gave Brian and Charlie an arrogant look as if saying, "You're doomed."

Not showing any sign of respect nor fear for the matter, Charlie just threw him a scornful look. Diverting his eyes away from Tyronn, he grabbed his sister's hand and told his father, "Dad, you don't have to worry about us. I will take care of Evelyn."

Proud with his son's behavior, Brian patted Charlie's head and kissed on Evelyn's chin. Then he followed the teacher to the small meeting room next door.

"Charlie Long, you're doomed!" After their fathers and the teacher left, Jerome clenched his teeth and shouted to Charlie.

Annoyed by the brat, Charlie didn't respond to him but raised his fist slowly in an act to punch Jerome again. Surprised, Jerome soon winced. He took some steps back and hid behind the man with the golden glasses.

The man was actually quite absent-minded, trying to figure out something in his brain. When the teacher mentioned the surname "Long", he had a terrible presentiment. Something didn't feel quite right. The more he dug into his brain trying to pull on some connections, the more clueless he became.

The kids being left alone now with the man in gold glasses. Evelyn was sitting on the chair, while Charlie was guarding her. Because of the food box accident, she didn't eat her lunch. By this time she was already so hungry that her stomach started to make groaning sounds.

"I'll find you some food," Charlie told his sister while looking around. "Just stay here." Then his sharp eyes landed at one of the office tables, on which there was a packet of biscuit which hadn't been opened yet.

With one swift motion, Charlie stood up and walked to the table, looked at the packet, took out 10 bucks from his pocket, put the money on the table, anchored it with a cup, then wrote some words on a note, placed it beside the money, and finally took the biscuits for Evelyn.

Just silently observing the child, the man with golden glasses was stunned by what he just saw. He couldn't believe that a child in kindergarten would leave money and a note for something he took. Was he a freak or a genius? The man was totally confused and amazed at the same time.

While he kept thinking about the twins and the surname "Long", the headmaster had arrived. At the conference room when Jerome's father saw that the headmaster was coming, he was wearing a smug smile, thinking that he could get the annoying kid who bullied his son penalized. However, when he saw that the headmaster didn't even look at him, but went to Brian instead, his smile suddenly froze.

"Mr. Long, I'm so sorry to keep you waiting." Apologizing to Brian, the headmaster said respectfully.

Without looking at the headmaster, Brian simply nodded and started, "Now that everyone is here, let's talk about how to settle this issue."

"Yes, yes, let's start." The headmaster nodded as he walked to take a seat on his chair. He turned to Tyronn, who was glaring at him in fury. The headmaster wanted to say something but eventually gave up speaking.

"Mr. Shen's son is injured because of my son. I understand that. The fees for the treatment, for his recovery, and the mental healthcare..." Confidently, Brian listed out a series of fees. In the awe of the headmaster and the middle-aged man, he continued coldly, "All the above-mentioned fees, will be paid to you according to the standards of the private Dragon Empire Group hospital. But, your son has to apologize for what he did to my daughter!" Brian motioned to Mr. Shen.

"Do I look like I never see money before?" From the way Brian had put it, Tyronn felt that he had been insulted. "I can ask my son to apologize. But I want your son to kneel down and apologize to my son first!" Rage had engulfed Tyronn, making him miss a very important point in Brian's words. Even the teacher standing by caught the phrase "private Dragon Empire Group hospital". It became quite clear what background Mr. Long had. However, Tyronn seemed to be oblivious to that as he was so immersed with pride and anger.

All this time, Brian wasn't a man who enjoyed overpowering others by his identity, but Evelyn mentioned that Jerome didn't say sorry to her after topping down her lunch box. Molly had taught Evelyn that anyone who did anything wrong needed to apologize. It was okay to be wrong yet only those who were willing to apologize sincerely could be forgiven. Her mother's teaching had been a golden rule for her and that was how the world should be like for that innocent girl. He wanted to keep and protect her innocence that was why he insisted that Jerome should apologize to her.

But Tyronn seemed to be so stubborn. Gradually, Brian turned impatient, his face turning shadowy. The headmaster gave Tyronn some obvious cues, signaling to him to agree to what Brian had just said, but Tyronn didn't seem to care. He went insensitive and just went on with his demands.

Brian let out a sigh. "It seems that Mr. Shen, you don't want it to be settled in a peaceful way."☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
