Chapter 8
Chapter 8 Their Wedding Day
Wesley returned home angrily, and he grew angrier when he saw that Eleanor was sleeping in his bed. “Who said you could sleep in my bed?” Eleanor had been sleeping in the guest room for the past few days. Eleanor said, “The beds in other rooms are all gone. Where else am I supposed to sleep?” Pulling a long face, Wesley went to other rooms to look around. Sure enough, those beds in other rooms were missing, and the only one left was the one in the master bedroom. The bed, with brand-new sheets, covers, and pillows, looked cheerful. Of course, Alfred was behind it. He was reminding Wesley that it was Wesley’s wedding day with Eleanor today. Feeling a headache, Wesley calmed himself down and then questioned Eleanor. “The marriage agreement clearly states that this is a secret marriage. Who gave you the right to show off our marriage license in front of Arianna?” Eleanor felt speechless for a second and then said, “Arianna told you that I came to her in the hospital?” Wesley said nothing. He acquiesced. Eleanor felt speechless again. After a few seconds, she said, “Who the heck does she think she is? Why would I go to her? I have better things to do.” Wesley pulled a sullen face. “You didn’t go to the hospital to look for her? Then why did you go there?” “Was that any of your business? I haven’t talked to you about it. Can you control your girlfriend or what? “I warned you last time. Don’t let her mess with me. Did you tell her or not? “I’m telling you. I’ve only got limited patience. I don’t care how much you care about her. If she tries to mess with me again, I’m gonna give her a hard time!” Wesley didn’t bother to explain his relationship with Arianna. He was simply annoyed by Eleanor’s attitude when talking to him. He was the CEO of the Laurier Group, and he had always been powerful. Only he had the right to boss others around, not the other way around. No one ever dared to be so arrogant in front of him. What was more, Eleanor was just a woman who had just turned twenty years old. Wesley pulled a long face, and his eyes were gloomy. “Eleanor, you think just because Grandpa’s got your back, I can’t deal with you?” Eleanor glanced at Wesley. She realized that when Wesley got furious, he was as dangerous and scary as a wolf in the dark. The ordinary would be terrified. Yet she had seen countless fierce wolves in the mountains, so she was not afraid of him. The room was quiet for a few seconds. Then Eleanor said, “There should be surveillance at the hospital. Go check the surveillance and see who started it.” Then she turned around, leaving only her back to Wesley. She buried herself under the quilt, focusing on her phone, ignoring him. Wesley frowned. He stared at Eleanor’s back for quite a while and then said. “Get out of my bed!” Then he turned around and went to the bathroom to wash up without telling someone to pull up the hospital’s surveillance. He didn’t care whose fault it was. He just wanted Eleanor and Arianna to stop making trouble. They could do whatever they wanted as long as they didn’t bother him. He even hoped that they could go to the mall to buy all sorts of things every day so as to stay happy. After all, he was rich. Yet the thing was, Eleanor and Arianna had been causing trouble, making it hard for him to work. Eleanor was the root cause. Before she showed up, Arianna had been obedient. Therefore, it was all Eleanor’s fault. She was such a pain in the ass. Wesley came out of the bathroom deeply upset with Eleanor. He was furious again when he saw Eleanor still in his bed. “Why are you still in my bed? Get lost!”
