Chapter 7
Chapter 7 Not Eleanor Again
By the time Wesley rushed to the hospital, Arianna had already been rescued. She was lying in a hospital bed, her eyes red and swollen from crying. “What happened?” Wesley asked. Arianna grabbed him by the wrist, crying miserably. “It’s Eleanor! It’s all because of her! Wesley, I might as well die…” Wesley looked at Arianna’s hand gripping his wrist and frowned. He pushed her hand away. Then he said, “What exactly happened?” Seeing that she was already so sad, and yet Wesley still didn’t want her to touch him, Arianna was even more upset. She blamed it all on Eleanor and slandered Eleanor. “I was supposed to be discharged today, yet Eleanor rushed over suddenly and showed off in front of me with her and your marriage license. “She even said in front of everyone that I was a mistress and would get me beaten up.” Hearing that, Wesley pulled a long face. He thought, “Not Eleanor again! “She won’t leave me alone for a single day, will she?” Arianna was so bitter. She asked Wesley, “Wesley, did you really get married with Eleanor?” Wesley said, “It’s between me and her, and it has nothing to do with you. I’ll tell her later to leave you alone. Let go and don’t do stupid things again.” Knowing that the marriage license wasn’t fake, Arianna was desperate. She was very unwilling and said with frustration. “Why did you marry her, Wesley? What’s she got besides her good looks? She’s a bumpkin. She doesn’t deserve you at all. She…” Noticing Wesley’s gloomy look, she didn’t dare to continue. Wesley had said that the things between him and Eleanor had nothing to do with her. In other words, she had no right to butt in. Arianna was extremely upset, yet she still managed to change the subject. “Wesley, when Eleanor left, she said she would have someone fix me today, and I was so scared. Will you stay with me tonight?” Wesley nodded. Arianna was instantly in a better mood. She thought, “So what if they’re married? I’m the one Wesley loves! “It’s their wedding day, and Eleanor has to spend the night alone. She’s gonna be so pissed off.” At the thought of that, Arianna was thrilled. Yet soon, Wesley got a call from Alfred just after the sky darkened. “Wesley, you flirted with all kinds of women before, and I chose to turn a blind eye, as you weren’t married back then. Yet now you’re a married man. Watch your behavior!” Wesley frowned. “Grandpa, Arianna…” “I don’t want to hear her name! Don’t you forget our deal. After you marry Eleanor, you have to share a room with her at night. With one night apart, you have to stay married to her for an extra year.” Alfred then hung up the phone unhappily. Wesley had a headache listening to the beeps coming from the phone. He was forced to agree to marry Eleanor on the condition that he would only be married to her for two years. If he didn’t fall in love with her after two years, they would get a divorce. Alfred had some terms, and one of them was that he had to share a room with Eleanor during those two years. If they slept apart for one night, they had to stay married for an extra year. Wesley took a quiet deep breath, put away his phone, glanced at Arianna, and said. “I have to go. Focus on recovering. Eleanor won’t dare hurt you with me around.” He said that and left. Arianna was so mad that she almost tore the sheets. She knew that she wouldn’t calm down unless she taught Eleanor a lesson. So, she picked up her phone and made a call. “32 thousand dollars… Torture her as much as you can… If anything, it’s on me.”
