Chapter 122 I'm Jealous
"I'm sorry, Miranda. Don't be angry!"
Rosa didn't know that her joke would make her ignore her.
"I'm not angry!"
She turned her head and covered her face with a book.
She was not angry.
She really wasn't angry. She was just troubled. Was she really so bad at hiding it
How could she expose herself in such a short time?
"Then what are you doing?" Rosa grabbed her book and stepped forward. "Go to my house after school. I'll make some noodles tonight, okay?"
Miranda was stunned. She looked at her and asked, "Really?"
Rosa chuckled and said, "It's so easy to comfort a foodie. Yup, it's true!"
Miranda smiled sweetly. "All right then!"
She was a foodie, but she was an extremely picky one.
If the food didn't fit her appetite, she wouldn't eat it a second time.
Of course, she felt that after meeting Cecil, she seemed less like a foodie.
She was excited to see the gentle boy.
There was only one class in the afternoon. The class was over at about 3 pm. Miranda asked the driver to take them to Rosa's neighbourhood.
After that, she asked him to pick her up at 6 pm.
The driver naturally nodded in agreement.
When they got there, Cecil was typing.
"Cecil" Rosa shouted out of habit.
Cecil smiled and tilted his head. "Sister, you're back... er... Miranda's here?"
"Well, Rosa... Rosa invited me to eat some noodles... Um, are you writing?" She seemed to be avoiding his gaze. "Uh... I just finished writing!"
"Cecil, keep Miranda company for a while. I'll go make the noodles. Miranda, you should go rest in Cecil's room!" After saying that, Rosa started working on the noodles.
"Uh... Okay!"
Miranda didn't know how to do housework. If she wandered around in the kitchen, she might disturb Rosa.
The two of them entered the room.
Cecil closed the door subconsciously.
In the past few years, he habitually closed the door as to not see any mocking looks from his relatives.
Even though he was living a good life now, he still kept this habit.
However, Miranda didn't know.
The moment he closed the door, her heart kept pounding.
A man and a woman alone in the same room...
It was easy for one's imagination to go wild...
"So... class's over..." Cecil looked at her, smiling warmly.
Miranda blushed all of a sudden. She stood there and played with her fingers awkwardly. "Yea..."
Seeing this, Cecil was too embarrassed to say anything more.
The two of them were shy and talked about meaningless topics.
"By the way, it's the young master's birthday this Saturday. You must come. He will give you a call!" Miranda said hurriedly.
This was what she came here for.
Cecil was stunned. He smiled and said, "It's the young master's birthday?"
"You'll go, won't you?" Miranda looked at him expectantly.
"We'll see."
He lowered his eyes and covered the look in his eyes with his thick long eyelashes.
Under the seemingly calm appearance, his mind was racing.
If he went to the party like this...
He's afraid that...
"I know what you're worried about. Don't worry, no one will talk about you!" Miranda squatted down and grabbed his hand.
Cecil was shocked at once.
Her soft touch made his heart freeze. It was as if he had been burnt.
His face turned red all of a sudden.
When Miranda saw his red face, she realized that she was holding his hand.
Suddenly, her eyes widened in shock as she withdrew her hand in panic. She stood up and was awkward.
"Yes, you must go... otherwise, the young master would be disappointed..."
She suddenly said.
Cecil remained silent. He could not guarantee it.
"Uh... what's this?" Miranda suddenly caught a glimpse of the album at the top of the bookshelf.
"It's a photo album!" he said flatly.
"Why is it at the top?"
A bitter smile appeared on Cecil's face. "My sister put it there..."
Rosa had placed every family photo at the top of the shelf to prevent him from getting them.
It was because if he had seen those photos, he would get agitated which would trigger his illness.
"The album of photos when you were young? Can I have a look?" Miranda was attracted to the album. She wanted to know his past.
"Yes, sure. Is it too high up? There's a small stool over here. Be careful!" Cecil pointed at the stool and said.
Miranda nodded and said, "Okay."
The next second, she climbed up with a stool.
However, she didn't know how Rosa managed to place it that high.
Even after climbing on the stool, it was still not high enough.
She had no choice but to tiptoe and reach for it.
"Ha, got it..." Before she could celebrate, she slipped and was about to fall down.
"Ah..."

"Watch out!" Cecil was quick and pushed his wheelchair over.
The room was spinning as Miranda fell backwards and straight into his arms...
A pair of slender arms immediately caught her.
She could feel his warm breath along with his minty fragrance.
His scent made her cheeks turn pink in an instant.
Her eyes widened in panic, and her body temperature rose uncontrollably.
Her mind was blank as if she was in a trance. She could only look at him blankly.
Looking at his deep eyes, she was stunned.
In an instant, time seemed to have stopped.
"What's wrong?" Rosa immediately shouted from the kitchen.
Miranda immediately came to her senses. She quickly stood up and fixed her clothes.
At this time, Rosa opened the door and asked, "What happened?"
"No... nothing. I just climbed up a stool to get the album. I almost fell..." Miranda said with her head down. Cecil coughed softly and looked aside.
"Why are you so careless? Be careful! Sit down. It will be ready soon!" Rosa said and was about to go out.
"Wait, I... I'll go with you..."
Miranda's heart couldn't stop pounding out of her chest. She was afraid that if she stayed with him any longer... She would've forgotten how to breathe!
Rosa did not refuse. Miranda treated this place like her own home. She could do whatever she wanted.
At dinner time...
"Miranda, what happened?" Rosa looked at her and couldn't help frowning.
Miranda looked at her and frowned. "What's wrong?"
"Normally when you have noodles, you eat at least two bowls. Why are you only having half a bowl today?"
Miranda blushed and held back her anger. "You... you're talking nonsense. I... I only eat this much!"
As soon as she finished speaking, her eyes wandered to Cecil, feeling even more embarrassed.
Rosa couldn't help but laugh. "Come on, two bowls aren't even enough for you. And now you're eating only half a bowl. Ah, there're no outsiders here. No one would judge you for eating more. Moreover, you wouldn't get fat no matter how much you eat, so it's fine!"
"You... you... don't speak nonsense. I can only eat this much... I... I'm on a diet!"
Miranda was about to cry. She wanted to seem elegant in front of Cecil.
Why did Rosa have to keep blowing her cover?
Cecil's gazed towards her. When he saw her flushed face and her wandering eyes, he couldn't help but smile.
"Eat some more. My sister's noodles are delicious. You're really slim already. You don't have to lose any more weight!"
His calm words shook up Miranda's world.
Her face turned even redder.
"Ring ring ring" Rosa's phone started ringing, so she didn't notice the change in her expression.
"Cecil, give Miranda some more, I need to take this call!" After seeing the caller's ID, she went into the room and closed the door behind her.
The living room was silent for a few seconds.
"I'll get some more.." Cecil said, reaching out to get her bowl.
"I'll do it myself!" She reached out to grab her bowl.
Coincidentally, their hands were clasped together.
The two people were so startled that they both withdrew their hands.
The bowl fell to the ground with a "Clank" and shattered into pieces.
"What happened?" Rosa ran out before she could finish her phone call.
Miranda stood up and gasped. "I'm... I'm sorry. My hand slipped. Um... I have to go now."
She can't handle it anymore. She was almost out of breath.
"Ah, wait, eat some more." Rosa hurried forward.
"No, there's no need, I'm not hungry..."
"Miranda, what's wrong?" Rosa grabbed her hand and noticed there was a lot of sweat on her forehead.
"Why are you sweating so much? Are you not feeling well?"
Miranda's eyes flickered as she avoided her gaze and stammered, "No, no, it's just... It's just that you put too much chili in the noodles. It's too spicy. Um, I'll go first. Uh... Remember to bring... bring Cecil to the young master's birthday party on Saturday."
As soon as she finished her words, Miranda ran out in a hurry before she could say say goodbye.
Rosa looked at Cecil in confusion. "What happened to Miranda?"
Cecil chuckled and said, "Perhaps the chilli in your noodles... was too much!"
"No way..." She only put a little. Was it that spicy?
"Sister, I'm full. I'm going back to my room." Cecil smiled and went back to his room.
Rosa frowned. "What on earth is going on?" She wondered.
"I also want noodles, I'm hungry..." The man sent a text over.
Rosa looked at the message and smiled faintly.
Before she could reply, the man sent another message.
"I'm jealous. You're only good to Miranda. I'm going to teach her a lesson!"
Rosa was stunned and hurriedly replied, "What for?"
"She took too much of my wife's time!"
Rosa was completely speechless. This guy was already in his 30s. Why was he still acting like a child?
"Wait for me. I'll go make noodles for you later at Silver Beach!"
"Okay, I'll fill my stomach first then eat you..."
Rosa pursed her lips and blushed.
Then, she replied, "Naughty."
As soon as she finished speaking, she got up and began to clean up.
After a while, she told Cecil and went out for a while.
Cecil nodded and asked her to come back early.
Then, she went to Silver Beach to make noodles for that man.[]
