Chapter 4

A1 Queen Rose International Jewelry Group, a mysterious acquisition team was negotiating in the conference room with the owner, Jack. The deal was finally sealed for two billion dollars.

Unbeknownst to many, QR’s owner had changed. The middle-aged man who walked out of the conference room pulled out his phone and reported to the person on the other end, “Mr. Nielsen, the acquisition was successful. You are now the President of QR International Jewelry Group.”

“Got it, the man on the other end responded indifferently.

To fulfill his grandmother’s wish to pursue Eileen, Winston had spent two billion. dollars to acquire the company she worked for. The only person who could reject this. marriage was Eileen herself.

He had to show his grandmother he was making an effort whether or not he would actually marry Eileen.

He hoped Eileen would reject him. After all, a marriage without a foundation built on feelings was meaningless..

Eileen was unaware that her boss had changed.

In the following days, she found a private kindergarten nearby for her son and only started working after dropping him off at school.

The little guy was quite interested in his new school. Carrying his little backpack and holding his teacher’s hand, he walked joyfully inside.

“That’s your son, right? He’s so handsome! I’ve never seen such a good-looking boy before!” a nearby mother exclaimed in awe.

Eileen smiled with pursed l*ps. Naturally, she was delighted that other’s praise.

At Treasure Studio…

On her first day at work, Eileen, as a designer dispatched to the Design Department, received excellent treatment, including a private office and a competent assistant. Her job was not mass design but customized design.

This was also one of QR’s selling points. Each client received a unique, lifelong custom design.

Eileen’s assistant, Jenna Chandler, was youthful, bright, and capable.

“Here’s your coffee, Eileen,” said Jenna as she handed her a cup.

“Thank you.” Eileen nodded.

After a couple of minutes, Jenna knocked and peeked in. “Eileen, the manager said. there’s a meeting at 3, and the boss will be there. You should get ready.”

At 3 o’clock sharp….

In the conference room…

Eileen took her seat, surrounded by important members of Treasure Studio. It looked like a major company meeting was about to take place.

As Eileen was observing her surroundings, she inadvertently locked eyes with the piercing gaze of a woman in her late 20s, exuding sensuality. Her name tag read, “Chief Designer, Dalia”.

Eileen instantly understood the competitive nature of her profession-in the world of design, there are no friends, only competitors. It was natural for her, having been called back from abroad, to be viewed with some skepticism.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed from outside the door, signaling the arrival of several people. The conference room door opened, and a tall, imposing figure stepped in first. Dressed in a well-tailored suit, with deep-set features and a commanding presence, he took the seat at the head of the table.

His silent, innate authority was unmistakable-a mark of someone accustomed to being in a position of power.

The room fell silent instantly.

Why did the head boss change today? They all wondered.

The female designers in the room were visibly excited and thrilled, captivated by the stunningly handsome man.

Eileen was also surprised. She thought. ‘Isn’t the boss of Treasure Studio a man in hist 50s? Why is this guy so young?’

Then, Vice President Mason Lee cleared his throat to say, “Let me introduce you to Mr. Winston Nielsen, the CEO and Chairman of QR International Jewelry Group. From now on, he will be overseeing all affairs of Treasure Studio. Please, give him a warm welcome.”

All the people in the room were shocked.

Winston Nielsen?

Chapter 1

He acquired QR International Jewelry Group?

While others were shocked and confused, Eileen immediately looked up at the man at the head of the table, who coincidentally was also looking at her.

He had piercing, deep-set eyes, resembling an eagle’s-sharp and intimidating, making others hesitant to meet his gaze directly.

Eileen, however, did not shy away. She also had a hunch about why this man was here.

Was the Nielsen family going to persistently show up in her life just because she refused. their gratitude? Hadn’t she made herself clear enough?

“Let’s start the meeting.” Winston withdrew his gaze and turned to Mason, saying, “You can lead us.”

In the conference room, the women present were starstruck, their eyes shining with excitement. The content of the meeting seemed irrelevant. They were all staring at Winston.

This man exuded an unparalleled aura of luxury and wealth-the kind of man women across the country dreamed of marrying.

Eileen wasn’t paying attention to the meeting either. Her mind was elsewhere, and she frequently caught the man looking at her, making her feel uncomfortable.

Soon, everyone at the meeting noticed that Winston’s attention was solely on Eileen. They wondered, ‘Was it because she was young and beautiful?”

Eileen found herself the target of many envious glares. Winston’s special attention had made her the object of resentment..

Eileen wanted to scream. “Winston, stop looking at me!”

But she restrained herself, wishing that the meeting would end quickly so she could. leave. She had just signed a five-year contract with the company and felt frustrated at the thought of staying.

Finally, the meeting ended.

Eileen was the first to rush out of the conference room. Back in her office, unsettled, a knock suddenly came o knock suddenly came on her door. Turning around, she saw Winston entering.

She glared at him, thinking, ‘He’s like a bad penny!

“How can I help you, Mr. Nielsen?” she asked, sitting down with an impatient tone that was not usually used with a boss.

Winston elegantly sat down across her, his cold and dignified aura subtly present. His magnetic voice broke the silence. “Ms. Norman, let’s have a talk.”

“Is it about work?” Eileen asked, raising her eyebrows.

“You must know, when I was five, I was kidnapped. It was your mother who saved my life at the cost of her own. The Nielsen family is grateful and wishes to repay you. Just state your request, and I’ll do my best to fulfill it,” Winston explained calmly, expressing his desire to compensate her.

As Eileen suspected, he was here to offer gratitude.

“There’s no need for that. My mother saved you because she was a police. It was her duty. You don’t need to compensate me, and I won’t accept it.” She firmly refused.

“I heard that you have a son. If you wish, I can help you and take care of him,” he suggested, narrowing his eyes.

Eileen looked up sharply at the man across from her. For a moment, she felt a strange illusion.

She wondered, “What?”

She thought that her son somehow resembled this man. Their facial features, eyes, and even their hair seemed similar.

How peculiar.

“I don’t need anyone else to raise my son for me.” Eileen refused again.
