Little bites, alpha(to be taken down for editing)

I avoided everybody successfully yesterday. Ri was worried and I knew she was going to talk to her brother and I already knew he wouldn’t be as calm as Ri was if I told him it was nothing. I knew I needed to see Lucy. She seems to know a lot more than anyone does. I don’t fully trust her but I needed to hear whatever she knew. I remembered Ri telling me where jack stays so I went to the room and knocked on the door.

“Who is it?” Jack asked

“Raina. I need to see Lucy”

“In the garden” He replied.

“Thank you” I said walking away. I made my way to the garden. I stopped in front of it and announced my presence.

“Lucy, I need to talk to you”

“It took you long enough” She said. I rolled my eyes and went in.

“I’ve been expecting you” She smiled.

“Why are you sitting that way?” I asked addressing her crossed legs.

“It’s comfortable” She replied.

“Whatever” I muttered.

“What other sighs did you see?” she asked.

“Sighs for what. I need to know what all this is all about” I begged.

“If I explain to you, you will become overwhelmed with the information so why don’t you learn about these sighs first to keep your mind prepared” She suggested. I gave her a ‘really’ look.

“I don’t know much but with what I’ve seen I think you are a what the ancient people will refer to as a ባለራዕይ or a Προφήτης”

“And what does that mean?”

“Basically you are what they refer to as a seer”

“Huh? Why?”

“Don’t act dumb now Raina. It’s obvious you’ve had dreams about what would happen”

“How do you know that?”

“It’s not important now. Anything else you find weird?” she asked.

“I touched Ri’s painting and I saw something but it felt and looked like it had already happened” I explained. She looked at me weirdly.

“Who is Ri?” I face palmed myself.

“Henrietta” I answered her.

“You call her Ri and she lets you?” she asked. I rose my brows.

“Yes. What’s the problem” She asked.

“Nothing. It’s just horrible” She said.

“What? Ri is a very good name” I argued.

“That’s not important. Shall we continue what we were talking about?” She asked

“Should have kept quiet in the first place” I retorted.

“You really are a hot head” I wanted to talk when she raised her hand stopping me from talking. I glared at her and rested my back. After five minutes she stopped.

“That’s not very nice” I said to her.

“You are not very nice” I rolled my eyes refraining from speaking back.

“What were you saying?”

“Oh yes! I had no idea you could see the past so everything I thought I knew about you is false” She confessed.

“What? It must have some sort of correlation”

“Maybe. Do you want to hear it?”

“Of course”

“So, first thing you need to know is that your emotions only control your powers because you don’t know how to control it. When you learn how to control it, you will be able to direct how your emotions affect you when you use your powers” I barely understood what she said but I nodded so she would continue.

“How do I learn then?” I asked curiosity taking over me instantly.

“First, you need to be open to the idea of using your powers” She explained.

“Second?” I urged her to continue

“Uhm_ second, you need to be calm. This sitting position in a quiet place helps to remain calm. That’s the best way to control your emotions. If you can keep your emotions in check then you are good with your powers” She informed me.

“I hate to ask but can you help me in learning to control these so-called powers?” I asked her. She smiled.

“You didn't have to ask. Do you really think I would let you walk around with your powers without a way to control yourself?” She asked. I shrugged.

“But_ I never had these powers. Why now?” I asked.

“Something must have triggered it” She replied to me.

“What could it be?”

“I’m only trying to help. I don't know any of that” She defended quickly. I sighed.

“Sorry. I was just curious” I apologized.

“Seers are also said to be selectively chosen. There are three families of different species they come from. Do you think your mother was a seer before you?”

“No. They were both warriors” That I was sure of. They even thought me basic tricks so I could protect myself if I ever found myself alone.

“Are you very sure about this” She questioned.

“I don’t fifteen was too young for me to know who my parents were” She was beginning to annoy me. Why would she question my relationship with my parents?

“Don’t get all defensive now Raina. Anything is possible now. There are secrets even the witches don't even know about. I never heard of a seer like you” She defended herself.

“What is a seer supposed to be like?” I asked.

“Usually seers know who they are and they live their lives being messengers for the moon goddess about the species she created. This doesn't include the wolves that were created by others_” I stopped her.

“What do you mean created by others?” I asked. She got me confused there.

“You really don't know anything about wolves”

“Just answer the question” I snapped.

“For someone who needs my help, you really are very full of yourself” She rolled her eyes but continued either way.

“Some wolves are created with a bite” She started.

“How is that possible?” I asked.

“A bite on the shoulder from the first lineage of wolves can turn a human into a wolf but there is something different about them” She hurriedly added.

“And what might that be?“

“Come closer” She instructed raising her two hands up.

“Huh_ I learnt not to trust you when you say that the had way” I responded.

“You know I can make you right?” I moved closer to her and sat down in front of her the same way, legs crossed over each other.

She touched both sides of my head with her thumbs using her remaining fingers as a support for my head. She whispered some words and I suddenly saw images. These images were that of a man hardly shifted. The man had the claws of a wolf. The teeth of a wolf and even the ears yet they didn't fully turn. I quickly got out of her hold.

“What the hell is that?” I gasped.

“Wolves created from a bite. They have every other quality but the ability to shift into full wolves and also get soul mates attached to them” She revealed.

“Do you know one?” I asked still in shock.

“Yes, I do. We have some of them in our pack” She confessed.

“There really is a lot I have no idea about” I admitted.

“I can teach you all I know if you promise to trust me no matter what. I promise I won't betray you but you have to trust me for this to work” I didn't want to but honestly considering her explanation on why she reacted that way with me I knew it was probably how I was going to react too. Lucian and Ri trust her so much so why not?

“Why do you lie about now using magic?” I just had to ask.

“I stopped but recently I've been hearing things and I need to use my magic to understand them fully. Lucian won't believe me until I have the proof that I truly hear things hence my secrecy”

“I think he needs to know. He won't be very happy if he finds out” I warned.

“Finds out what?” I jumped when I heard Lucian ask from behind me.
