“The target of public criticism? Mr. Zabel, do you think I’m a three–year–old?” Connor snorted. 

“Who in the whole of Navarre dare to make the heir of the Zabinski family the target of public criticism?” Connor thought 

to himself. 

Kendrick didn’t care about Connor’s expression and continued, “Mr. Labelle, I guess you haven’t heard about what Robert did to the Holliman family, have you? He went to Mr. Hoffman’s study and angered him to the point he had to be admitted to the hospital. The Hoffman family will not let Robert off easily, and no one is willing to protect him. If the Labelle family continues to have a close relationship with Robert, you will bear the consequences!” 

When Connor heard this, he patted the table heavily with one hand and shouted, “Nonsense! Mr. Zabel, I know you’re young, and I understand you don’t know what you’re talking about. But I don’t think you have the right to teach me how I manage my relationship with Robert Zabinskil Please leave, Mr. Zabell” 

Connor picked up the teacup in front of him, indicating that the guest should take his leave. 

“Mr. Labelle, I merely wanted to give you a kind reminder today. Since you don’t appreciate it, forget it! Don’t say remind you!” Kendrick didn’t show any respect to Connor, so he got up and left.

After Kendrick left. Connor took a deep breath and thought, “Mr. Hoffman was angry at Robert? How is that possible? The Hoffman family is heavily indebted to the Zabinski family. Without the Zabinski family, there would be no Hoffman family. They wouldn’t dare to get angry at Robert, let alone fight against him. Could it be the Zabel family managed to convince the Hoffman family to hurt the Zabinski family? I have to ask Mr. Hoffman about it!” 

Connor did not delay and immediately contacted Stephen’s butler. 

Kendrick walked out of Connor’s office and scolded, “Such an ungrateful man! Do you really think Robert is a treasure? If you treat a bomb as a treasure, you are not qualified to continue doing business in Yrinas. If that’s the case, there is no place for the Labelle family anymore!” 

Kendrick then took out his phone and dialed a number. “Hello, Mr. York, it’s me. I’ll buy all the market shares that Everlasting Trade has with Labelle Group. Don’t worry. You will get something out of it. Am I afraid that Zabinski Group will find out? So what if they do? The purpose of Zabel Group coming here is to compete for business with Zabinski Group! If they investigate you, you can come to my company! The benefits are as good as when you are in Zabinski Group!” 

After Kendrick finished speaking, he hung up the phone with a sneer. When he turned, he noticed Marilyn’s eyes were a little dull. 

“Marilyn, what are you thinking about?” he asked. 

“N–Nothing…” Marilyn seemed startled and shook her head vigorously. 

Kendrick’s face darkened. “You’re thinking about Robert, right? I don’t understand why you’re thinking about this loser who relied on women to succeed. Marilyn, don’t forget that it was your parents who took the initiative to approach me. I’m not obsessed with you!” 

Kendrick was in a bad mood and directed his anger at Marilyn. 

Marilyn remained calm. “Kendrick. I hope you can refuse my parents directly.” 

After saying that, Marilyn strode away. There was a sparkle in her big bright eyes. 

“Mom and Dad! If my parents could support me to be with a man I truly love as Naomi’s father did, then Robert and I would be very happy now. Even though we may have nothing, we can work together and have a cozy home!” Marilyn thought bitterly.
