Chapter 12 

At the job fair, Robert and the others were like the leading characters in a comedy. Everyone’s attention was on them, and they were waiting to see Robert and the others make a fool of themselves. 

This was Barry they were talking about. Barry’s father had assets worth a few million dollars! Now he had invested 750 thousand dollars for Barry to set up a company. 

As for Kendrick, he was the CEO of Zabel Group in Yrinas. 

If anyone were picked on by these two, they would not be able to continue staying in Yrinas. 

“In my opinion, people who have nothing to do with this job fair should leave!” 

“Exactly. They’re annoying everyone else with their presence.” 

Some people who had just signed contracts with Barry’s and Kendrick’s company started to speak. They wanted to impress their bosses. Hence, in order to leave a good impression on their bosses, they chose to pick on Robert. 

Sure enough, as soon as those people started to speak, Barry and Kendrick smiled. 

Seeing the changes in the expressions of Barry and Kendrick, those who were trying to curry favor with them worked harder and started to humiliate Robert and Samuel even more.. 

“If anyone is wondering what it means to be a street rat, this is it! These people are targets of scorn!” 

Actually, I’ve never seen before what it’s like to be hated by the public. I have finally witnessed it today! Thank you, Robert!” 

All of their words were targeted at Robert. 

Marilyn stood aside and looked at Robert, who was attacked by everyone. Many times, she wanted to say something but hesitated. If there were no pressure from her family, Marilyn would stand up for Robert immediately. She would stand by his side and support him. 

However, Marilyn could only watch this scene silently now. Watching as everyone humiliated Robert in this way; the anguish that Marilyn felt in her heart was even greater than if she had been the one to be humiliated instead. 

“Leave, Robert. Don’t remain here,” Marilyn thought to herself. However, she was sure that with Robert’s personality, he would not leave just like that. 

Marilyn knew very well what kind of person Robert was. He was strong–willed and refused to yield to others. That was how Robert was. 

“That’s enough. All of you are so annoying!” 

At this moment, an impatient voice sounded. 

Jeremy, who was dressed in designer clothing from head to toe, walked out of the crowd. He shouted in Kendrick and Barry’s direction. “All of you are too much. Even if you’re trying to get into your bosses‘ good books, it needn’t be to such an extent. Anyone who thinks they have the capital to take me on, step out!” 

As soon as Jeremy said that, the surrounding voices become softer. 

Jeremy drove the BMW 3 Series to school, so everyone knew his family background well. They dared insult losers like Robert and Samuel, but they did not have the guts to offend Jeremy. 

Jeremy spat on the ground and cursed, “A bunch of fools.” 

“Jeremy, since when do you stand up for others?” At this moment, Barry started to speak as he looked at Jeremy. 

All along, there was covert fighting between Jeremy and Barry. Everyone knew that they were scions, so they would often compare the two with each other. It was so frequent that Jeremy and Barry became at odds with each other. 

“How arrogant of you.” Kendrick sorted out his suit and looked at Jeremy with a contemptuous look. “But tell me this, who the hell do you think you are?” 

Jeremy looked at Kendrick and said, “You’re Mr. Zabel, right? I know that Zabel Group is a big corporation, but do you really think the Zabel family can dominate everyone? Do the elders in your family know about how arrogant you are?” 

After saying that, Jeremy pointed at Barry and said, “Barry, you’re so arrogant today because you have a powerful backer. However, do you really think that your father is influential in Yrinas? Have you ever considered the possibility that Robert isn’t someone you can afford to offend?” 

After Jeremy finished his words, it was dead silent at the scene. 

After more than ten seconds, someone could not help but burst out laughing. Following that, the crowd burst into laughter. “Ha–ha! Robert is someone Barry can’t afford to mess with!” 

“Is Mr. Walker out of his mind?”

Chapter 12 

Do you think someone will suddenly rush in and say that Robert’s three–year deadline is up?” 

Barry looked at Jeremy. He reached out his right hand and pointed it at his own head. “Jeremy, are you an idiot? Do you know who this is? This is Robert, a poor bloke! You mean to say I can’t afford to mess with him?” 

Kendrick tried to look cool and pinched his fingers. “I don’t need an outsider to teach me how to do things,” he remarked. 

Everyone scoffed and sneered, 

Kendrick threw a glance at Marilyn, who was beside him, and shook his head slightly. “Marilyn, your previous taste in men. was bad. All right, we’re more or less done here today. My car is parked over there. Let’s go.” 

Kendrick pointed to the campus parking lot. There was a brand–new Ferrari parked there, which looked very extraordinary. This was the car Kendrick had just picked up. 

“Dang it!” 

“This is so cool!” 

Everyone started to compliment the Ferrari. Kendrick was proud to hear those compliments. He was about the same age as Marilyn and others, but Kendrick did not choose to continue school. Instead, he entered the family business carly and enjoyed another kind of treatment. Whenever he heard the envy in everyone’s voices, he relished the moment. 

“Luxurious! How luxurious!” 

“No, you’re wrong. This is not luxurious! This is extravagant!” 

“It is so cool. This is the first time I’ve ever seen something like this!” 

Everyone was still giving endless praises, but slowly Kendrick felt that something seemed amiss. He understood them saying that the Ferrari was cool, but the word extravagant was not relevant to the Ferrari at all. 

Kendrick subconsciously glanced at the parking lot, but just as he looked to the parking lot, a row of brand–new Rolls–Royces came into view. The Rolls–Royces were all in consecutive serial numbers. Kendrick was dumbfounded to see 

that. 

At the very least, ten Rolls–Royce Phantoms would cost more than one million dollars! With all kinds of optional extras for the car, each car would be worth millions of dollars! 

Ten cars meant that it cost 15 million dollars! 

No one in Yrinas had such financial resources! 

Ten Rolls–Royces were all lined up in a row and slowly drove toward the job fair at the same speed. This scene was too visually impressive! 

At this time, no one bothered to mock Robert anymore. Everyone took out their phones, took photos of this scene, and posted them on Instagram. 

After all, it was rare to see a sports car in Yrinas. 

When the ten Rolls–Royce slowly drove closer, everyone saw that, behind each Rolls–Royce, there were ten young women. Those women were dressed in gowns and standing in one line. Together, they formed a squad of 100 people. All of them were voluptuous, and they walked in synchronized with one another. They had charming smiles on their faces. These 100 women were even more attractive than the 10 Rolls–Royce! 

The place was oozing with male pheromones!
