Among the year’s graduating class, no one paid attention to Robert anymore. They did not even bother to exchange more than a few words with him. To them. Robert was someone who had offended Barry. Robert was also Marilyn’s ex–boyfriend. Even though everyone could see that Marilyn was the one who dumped him, Kendrick was definitely displeased with Robert. Thus, it was as if whoever got close to Robert was trying to ruin their own future. 

Robert was completely isolated at the job fair. 

However, Robert did not care that he was singled out. He had only gone to the job fair to accompany Samuel and the others. 

“Robert!” 

A loud shout caught everyone’s attention, and they were puzzled. Who would possibly still talk to Robert, the jinx, at that 

moment? 

Following that, everyone saw Samuel, Simon, and Eric trotting toward Robert. 

“Samuel, if you guys came any later, the job fair would have ended.” Robert smiled at the sight of Samuel and the two others. 

Robert had a good relationship with his three housemates in the past few years of university. They had definitely gone through ups and downs together. 

Samuel panted. smiled, and punched Robert. “It’s all because of you, you punk! I feel like I’m still hung–over from that wild night. I woke up this morning feeling all groggy.” 

“All right, Samuel. You were the happiest from drinking that day. Lucy sounded so sweet when she called your name,” Simon commented while winking at Samuel. 

After hearing that. Samuel smiled bashfully, and a rare hint of embarrassment appeared on his face. It was apparent that he had developed a good relationship with Lucy. 

“Stop teasing Samuel already. Quick, go and submit your resume,” Robert urged from the side. 

Only then did Samuel and the other two realize what they were there for. They quickly grabbed their resumes and walked toward the professions related to their majors. 

“Barry, you’ve seen my resume before.” Simon approached Barry with his resume in hand. Since they had just arrived at the job fair, they did not know about the conflict between Barry and Robert. 

Barry glanced at the resume that Simon handed over. The former then sneered and immediately threw the resume into the trash can near him. At the same time, Barry muttered, “Garbage.” 

Barry’s action stunned Simon. 

“Why are you standing here? You’re an eyesore. Get out of here,” Barry said, waving his hand impatiently. 

In an instant, Barry’s lackey stepped forward and shoved Simon. 

Simon’s expression changed, and he became anxious. “What do you mean, Barry? We had an agreement before, You….” 

“Who do you think you are? Do you think you can talk about an agreement with me? What are you? Let me make it clear now. Anyone related to Robert can forget about joining my company! Understand?” Barry did not show Simon any mercy. and berated the latter in front of everyone. 

As soon as Barry said that, Simon immediately knew the reason. Simon forcefully pushed away the person in front of him. and retorted, “Who the hell do you think you are, Barry? I couldn’t care less about joining your company!” 

On the other side, Samuel and Eric were standing before the human resources personnel of Zabel Group with their resumes. in hand. They had submitted their resumes to Zabel Group and had contacted the company before. 

However, just as Samuel and Eric were about to sign the agreement, Kendrick appeared. Kendrick glanced at the two of them, waved at the human resources personnel, and said, “Get these two out of here. Zabel Group doesn’t need anyone related to Robert as well. Even if they said a word to him or got closer to him, they won’t be able to join Zabel Group!” 

After Kendrick finished speaking, Samuel and Eric’s expressions changed. They did not expect a conflict between Robert and Zabel Group too. Nevertheless, when they saw Marilyn standing next to Kendrick, Samuel and Eric instantly understood what was happening. They suddenly remembered that two nights ago at the nightclub, Jeremy mentioned that Marilyn had broken up with Robert because of a man named Kendrick. Samuel and Eric guessed that the man before them was Kendrick. 

Barry and Kendrick had spoken out directly. They were openly boycotting Robert and anyone associated with him. It was obvious that they did not intend to give Robert any chance. 

Barry’s family was prominent in Yrinas, while Zabel Group was an influential company. With just a word from them, most local companies would have to respect their wishes. Therefore, after Barry and Kendrick spoke, the other companies who had gotten Samuel’s, Eric’s, and Simon’s resumes immediately threw them into a trash can nearby. Evidently, they did not want to offend a powerful company like Zabel Group over a small matter. 

Naturally, Samuel and the other two noticed the subtle actions of the major companies, and they clenched their fists in

anger. 

Outside the school gate, under the guidance of Carlos, ten Rolls–Royces with consecutive license plate numbers formed a line. Behind these Rolls–Royces was a fleet of sports cars of the same color. All of the sports cars were brand new without license plates. And all these were graduation gifts that Zachary had prepared for Robert. 

Behind the sports cars stood over 100 young girls, all dressed in red gowns. They had exquisite figures and alluring sensuality. Each of them held a tray covered with satin embroidered with gold threads. On the trays were also graduation. gifts Zachary had prepared for Robert, including precious collections and real estate deeds from various places. Every single one held considerable value, enough for an ordinary person to strive for a lifetime. 

At that moment, Carlos held the phone and said. “Everything is ready, Mr. Zabinski. I’ve informed the school principal as well. The convoy will be arranged to enter soon. Don’t worry. The news has not leaked out. Mr. Robert Zabinski still doesn’t know anything” 

“Well done. Zachary praised from the other end of the line. “It’s hilarious how the daughter of the Quesnell family looks down on my son. Oh, by the way, how is the investigation of Rob’s housemates going?” 

“Their backgrounds are clean.” 

Zachary answered, “That’s good. When Rob was in school, his housemates helped him a lot. I’m not an ungrateful person. either. I’ll arrange some positions in the company for them to gain experience. Those kids have good character. With a little training, they can be Rob’s right–hand men in the future.” After that, he instructed Carlos, “I won’t be back in the country for a while. Rob is still young, so please take care of him.” 

“Rest assured, Mr. Zabinski,” Carlos replied respectfully. He then picked up a walkie–talkie and ordered, “Prepare to enter the school. Maintain the same speed for all vehicles, and have the helicopter ready!” 

Outside the campus of Yrinas University, the grand scene attracted the attention of many people. 

However, the students inside the school could not see what was happening outside. At that moment, everyone was staring at Robert as if he was a joke, a clown, or a tragedy. 

“This job fair is nonsense! Fine, I won’t go! I don’t believe we can’t find a job in a big city like Yrinas.” Samuel stomped his feet and placed his arm around Robert’s shoulder. It was clear that they would not end their friendship with Robert just because of what Zabel Group and Barry said. 

“Ha–ha! I’d like to see which reputable company in Yrinas would dare to hire all of you!” Kendrick said with a smirk while seated. He looked particularly confident.
