Last Christmas?

Chapter Run, Run, Tyra

Malin and I continued towards Krampus and the Princess, and I was excited to find them so that we could join them in making this the last Christmas ever!

As we ran along, I began to sing a little ditty to myself.

🎵Run, run, Tyra; Krampus gotta take over the world!

And Malin better help, or he’ll be in the dungeons for good!

It’ll be Krampus, the Princess, and Tyra all making the rules!

This is the end, the finale; yeah, Christmas is over you fools!🎵

“Not bad, actually!” Malin gasped out as we ran, “Better than the Last Christmas song that Krampus sang, imo.”

I was about to rebuke Malin for suggesting that I was better than Lord Krampus at something, but then I realized that he was correct!

I had surpassed Krampus!, and it should be I who used the Princess to rule the world!

Krampus had served his purpose, but now it was time to dump him into the ash bins of history and for me to take MY rightful place as ruler of the world!

We soon reached a castle, and Krampus greeted us and said, “You have two options! Join me, or suffer!”

“You’re old news, Krampus!” I said condescendingly, “And it’ll be I who uses the Princess to rule the world, not you!”

“Dammit!” Krampus grumbled, “Usually, my mind-control gets people to join me, but it’s caused you to yearn to surpass me! Malin tricked you, I bet…”

“The only one who got tricked here is the Princess!” I cried, “For she thinks that it’ll be you who uses her to rule the world, and it’s actually going to be ME!”

Suddenly!, the Princess arrived near Krampus and said, “Malin! You have broken the spell by coming to rescue me! Now I’m no longer mind-controlled!”

“How do you even know that I’m me though?” Malin asked uncertainly, “After all, I’m in turtle-form right now.”

“Krampus and I have been watching you two make your way to this castle through a crystal ball, and so I saw everything!” the princess cried, “But I still wanted to rule the world with Krampus until you arrived and meeting you in person broke the spell!”

“Ummmmm, Krampus…” I said boredly, “Should we lock those two up while we battle? Then whichever one of us wins our great battle will be the one who figures out how to get the Princess back under control.”

“Yeah, that probably makes sense.” Krampus agreed; and so I grabbed the struggling Malin, Krampus grabbed the protesting Princess, and Krampus led the way to a couple of dungeons and we tossed the two of them into separate dungeons.

“Now, we fight!” Krampus roared, once he had then led me to the castle’s battle arena.

“And you will LOSE!” I taunted him; but then asked, “I am still curious though; how much man, goat, and demon are you?”

“You’ll never discover the answers that you seek!” Krampus cried!, “Now prepare to be defeated!”

The two of us battled for hours and hours, but neither of us managed to do much damage to the other one. We were pretty equally powerful!, it seemed.

“What are we to do!?!” Krampus complained, “It seems that neither of us are capable of gaining the victory!”

“Yeah,” I said in a troubled tone of voice, “it’s like we’re both paper, and one of us would have to be rock or scissors in order to win. This is a catastrophe!”

“Perhaps,” Krampus said thoughtfully, “we should team up as equals and together use the Princess to rule the world!”

“I don’t like seeing anyone as my equal,” I said unhappily, “but you don’t either, obviously… I guess that most alliances are only formed out of necessity, and this seems to be a case where an alliance is necessary; and so I agree to rule the world with you as my equal.”

And, so, Krampus and I made solemn vows to rule the world through the Princess as equals, though both us surely knew that we’d betray each other in an instant if one of us ever thought that we could gain the upper hand over the other.

After making our agreement, we went back to the dungeons and found that they were empty!

Malin and the Princess had escaped!

“We must find them at once!” Krampus cried, and I agreed that we had to figure out what had happened to them immediately so that our entire plan to end Christmas and rule the world wouldn’t be ruined.

We went up to the room where Krampus kept his crystal ball, and he told the ball to let us know where Malin and the Princess were.

The crystal ball wouldn’t comply though, and said that it would only reveal things to a single most powerful person, and not to a couple of people who were teaming up to be the most powerful force in the world.

“Well,” Krampus sighed, “I guess it’s back to the battle arena then…” and so Krampus and I headed back to the battle arena in hopes that we’d have better luck determining a victor than we’d had last time…
