Killing My Alpha Mate

Chapter 83

She smiles menacingly, her fingers twitching on the trigger, judging by the way she's holding the gun I'm sure she knows how to use it.

"I always knew something was off about you 'Daphne' if that truly is your name" She executes.

"There's no use for the...the gun I know you only despise me because of Zane I promise not to cross paths with him again" I stutter leaning back. "Hailey what's transpiring, talk to me" Dimitri asks, but I can't compose an answer.

"The temerity of your actions has proven useful to me I'm sure Madam Von will reward me for disclosing a spy" "Spy? You are mistaken-"

"Don't even dare deny it, I heard your conversations clearly, pick it up" she interrupts, pointing at the phone.

Crouching low I comply, handing her the phone in her free hand.

"This isn't yours" She says pissed.

"Who were you speaking to?"

"Myself" I say a little amused.

"Turn around" She orders, stepping back still holding the gun in place.

I do so slowly, out of alternatives, she shoves the gun at my head and then whispers,

"Any stupid move I splatter your brains hope you understand, move along"

"Hailey, is there trouble, yes or no?" Dimitri asks once more.

"Yes" I say.

"Good" Ruby states assuming I'm talking to her.

She pushes me down the guarded hall and through the door.

I shiver as I step inside it's colder and dark, dimly lit up by blue lights.

The place has a musky smell and a few people walk through looking miserable but alert.

"Move along" Ruby nudges, I notice the shelves are filled with records and bottles of green liquid that must be the serum the production in mass.

Not having the opportunity to inspect it, Ruby pokes me straight ahead to another compartment.

By the side, a guard stands, who slides in a card key with a click it opens.

We enter the room, stepping out of the dark into the light Ride is revealed sitting in a chair unconscious.

"Ride!"I say about to rush forward

Ruby fires in front of me abruptly, stopping me in my tracks.

"You forgot where you are," She says, dragging my hair.

Pulling me into the room where two people are operating surveillance footage of the house.

The monitors' display, the hallways, the kitchen, the dinner, everything including Zane's room where he still lay unconscious.

"Daphne Molare" Madam Von Grey says, revealing herself from her spot at the back.

"Or should I say Hailey Stewarts" She says with a smug grin.

"The moment I set my eyes on you, you blew your facade when you got shocked seeing me and then the resemblance in the voice, I don't believe in coincidences Hailey" "Funny I don't either" I reply bluntly.

"You're a hard girl to kill if I just say, I specifically wanted you dead but time and time again you escaped seems I'll have to do it myself" she says, titling a knife in hand. "What did you do to him?" I ask, referring to Ride. Ignoring her and the fear rippling through my veins.

She walks up to him, placing the knife under his chin inclining his head.

"He just getting a taste of why you shouldn't mess with me, you shouldn't worry about him" she says leaving his side

"What do you presume I do to you?" She says, smiling menacingly.

I hope Dimitri is listening to our conversation. At this point, I'm lingering on his promise to get me out of here.

"I know you're going to kill me anyway so why don't we stop beating around the bush" I voice.

"You are a smart girl now I want to test your reasoning to make the right decision, if only you can join us in the revolution, to make the world a better place you get to keep your life or be like your mother and die"

"Don't You ever speak about my mother" I shout, she gives a signal then Ruby smacks the gun at the back of my head I fall by my side holding my throbbing head in my hand.

"In here Hailey you have to watch your tone, I promised to take everything from you, and look how far that has gotten you I can you in ways beyond your wildest gruesome Imagination"

Fighting Through the pain I pick myself up meeting her haze.

"I'll never join you this is not a revolution this is injustice hurting others* enslaving, driving laws into your own hands"

"Ha!" She laughs without humor, "Where was justice when your father was killed? Where was justice when your mother died? Your father did so much good for people but no one stood up when he was being killed, are you so blinded you can't see the facts hanging right in front of you"

"People like you are the cause of all these atrocities" I say not giving in to the dagger shes driving in my heart

"You are making things worse, might I also add the ladies whose blood is on your hands"

"They brought it down upon themselves if only they can carry out a simple task" she says waving it off like they meant nothing.

"And what task is this?"

"How do you think the serum is ingested by so many packs, women are a deadly weaponry one I use to my advantage it's not my fault some ladies aren't smart enough to do a simple task, some take in the serum others get caught we dispose of these ladies” I feel a strong resentment towards this lady, speaking so trivial about death.Visit J o bnib.com to read the complete sentences for free.If you are not reading this novel on Jo b nib.com, some paragraphs are incomplete. "Hailey, can you hear me?"

"Yes, Dimitri" I say, placing the microphone well in my ear.

Madam Von Grey looks at me, raising a brow and grinning wildly.

"Hailey get down," Dimitri warns without questioning, "I lay low on the ground.

"What behavior is this-

"Ahh!" I yell as the glass is shattered screeching with gunshots and eclipsed by a huge blast hitting Madam Von and Ruby.

Once the sounds elapse, I look towards the smoky entrance spotting Dimitri standing tall with Richard and Nixon.
