Chapter 111
"Where are we?" I was still confused about the environment.
"This is a place of peace and solace" Ryan sighed.
I chimed in
"I clearly remembered that we didn't ride in a car or enter a taxi cab... Was it the wind that brought us here?" I tried hard not to believe that the wind brought me here.
"As I said earlier, this is a place of peace and solace, people come here to find peace, cool off their minds and reset the paths to their desired destinies. We're here to have a drink remember so let's do that when we're back home I'll explain things to you in the best language possible for quick understanding" Ryan's long words couldn't stop my curiosity and fear. I couldn't even see any landmarks to show a hint of where I was. "Sit and let's toast"
I had to trust him, because there was nothing I could do,
_He brought me here, he's definitely going to take me back home_
"What's the main aim of the toast?" I asked, Ryan smiled at me, itt felt so overwhelming seeing him in this exciting mood.
"Now that's the mood I want you to be in. Be free and trust me, shove that fear down the gutters... Let's toast to friendship" _Seriously that's what you could think of, 'friendship'_
"Friendship it is" I sighed as we clasped glasses.
He gulped down his filled cup, all at once. His eyes flashed like something bit him, guess the alcohol was too strong for him.
If he acted like this after a cup, what would be our fate if we drank the whole bottle_
I drank mine the same way Ryan drank his. I felt a sharp pain as the liquid flowed down my chest.
_No wonder I disliked alcohol, it's strong and wills power away from its host, and I'm afraid it's doing same to me_
"Why did you bring me here?" I inquired, feeling a little tipsy as I glanced at the bottle, the liquid had gone down, more than half of it was resting in our lions.
"I can't and would never bring you to a place that's not special. You're special to me and you of all people should know that aspect about you"
"What makes this place so special that you brought me here?" I asked in a mild tone.
"This place is filled with my memories, and it's a bit unfortunate that the pioneer of those memories is dead and long gone..." Ryan's words were making me confused, I was lost in thoughts trying to assimilate all that he said.
"I don't understand what you're saying" I affirmed my unarticulated thoughts.
"My mother called this place The Seldom home. She always brought me here when my father and I had issues, and also when she wanted us to run around freely without feeling the thoughts of insecurities when you cross past a border... My mother was the best type of mother anyone would wish to have"
"You guys lived here right?" I asked hastily.
"No my mother brought me the same way I brought you, I remembered her words on our last visit here
"Don't keep this beautiful view all to yourself, bring your friends along some day"
She definitely knew I was going to have friends and I did have a friend."
11
Wow such an aura of innocence, wished I could have memories like yours" I divulged.
Ryan stood up and screamed
'Mother, I brought a friend here as you said. She's sitting right here, her name's Hailey... Mother,"
Ryan fell, with tears rolling down his chin, he missed his mother.
"Don't cry, she'll be happy that you fulfilled her wish." I tried to console him.
I'll find a way to make him happy_
I stood up and screamed
"Lord Perry I hate you, you're a fool"
Ryan laughed and screamed
"Let's shout our hearts out... Jaden you're a dog for treating Hailey so bad"
_He hated Jaden, but was I the reason for the hatred?_
"Riley you're a pathetic slut a whore always finding ways to belong in an Alpha's family" I screamed.
"Jaden you're a weakling for punching me on my beautiful lips" We both laughed at his words.
I felt so happy shouting my heart's out, wishing the whole world could listen to me.
"How do you feel?" Ryan asked, panting profusely.
"I... Feel... So.... Freeeeee" I said, gulping down a large amount of the remaining alcohol in the bottle.
Ryan collected the bottle and finished the drink.
He threw the bottle to a far distance.
Now it's time to go home" Ryan said as he picked up the black material, he cleaned the dust off it. He covered my vision. I felt the same whirling wind a few hours ago.
I felt my legs slowly placed firmly on the grass. I felt happy that I was back home but I loved Seldom home.
"Hope you enjoyed the trip?'
Jaden chimed in a rude manner
"What trip are you two talking about?"
"It's none of your business" I snapped.
"It's better we tell him the truth, so that he doesn't suspect us as lovers which we're not... Back to your question Jaden, we took a trip to Seldom home."
"Where's Seldom home?" Jaden asked in a rude manner.
"That's your job to handle, find information you'll surely get a hint on what we're talking about" Ryan smiled as he walked out of the garden heading to the house where the party was still going on.
"Where the hell is Seldom home?" He asked me in a loud voice.
"Find it out after all you're the Alpha's son. Ask your father about it" I answered, wearing a big smile on my face.
"Ok it's fine. I've forgotten about it." Jaden couldn't even count the words he was saying.
"That's better so of what use is my presence to you?" I asked him with a big grin on my face.
"It's of great use and importance..." He paused as he knelt down with his hands on my feet.
"I'm sorry for whatever I've caused you in the past, present, presently and even in the future. Please forgive me, I promise never to leave your side again. To prove my loyalty I would have Riley sent back to where she belongs. I'll even relieve you of all your duties so that you can stay in the main building" Jaden talked faster than anyone I've ever listened to.
_The tone of his voice sounds quite true to me. He's really changed_ Helena smirked.
I sighed as I sat on the bench. Jaden held my knees.
"Sit" I commanded.
"Thank you so much Hailey, I promise never to make you feel sad or angry"
"Enough of your promises" I cautioned his words.
"I've forgiven you, now can we go to the party? I want to dance," I said in a mild tone.
You say it like you have any dancing steps" Jaden mocked me. He knew that I didn't really like dancing, the only steps I knew was the one he taught me.
"Let's go nevertheless, you'll dance with me right?"
"If I don't, who else will?"
"Ryan of course"
"Come off it not like he's got more dancing steps"
Ryan chimed in
"Oh I can't really predict that... I challenge you to a dancing contest."
"I thought you were already inside" I muttered to myself as I watched them make the challenge.
"Find an Opera dancing contest" Jaden accepted the deal with his terms and conditions which Ryan conceded to.
"Let's go then" Ryan said as he hastened his footsteps.
We all rushed in, staring at Ryan who stood on the podium.
He cleared his throat
"It's time to spice things up in this party, I'm challenging Jaden to an Opera dancing contest and he has accepted so let the contest begin" Everyone cheered.
The music raised to a higher volume as everyone pulled away their tables, creating a big space for them to dance.
I knew Jaden was the one to win this dancing contest, he had all the steps to do it. He was the first to start, he danced like his life depended on it. Minutes passed by as the music ended, Ryan walked sheepishly. The music started, Ryan stood there, letting the music sink into his veins.
He danced more than Jaden, it felt like the music told him the only way to accept it was to dance to it.
Everyone cheered for Ryan even before the music ended.
I walked to the podium to decide the winner.
"All in favor of Jaden, please raise your hands"
I counted fifteen hands, most people dropped their hands.
"Jaden has Fifteen votes... Now All in favor of Ryan please raise your hands"
Everyone raised their hands including me. Jaden just laughed, after all it was just a dancing contest.
Ryan received handshakes and hugs from everyone.
Lord Perry was happy that we elevated the happiness in his guests minds.
