Chapter Chapter Seventy Two

Eve woke up the following morning to the sound of Flint's cell phone ringing.

"Alpha Dolan." He grunted.

Eve sat up and stretched, looking at the clock. It was six in the morning.

"Leave them on my desk. I'll look at them tonight." Flint stated.

Eve listened to Duncan grumble on the other end of the line.

"The twins' party is today. Bring your boy. We'll head to HQ after." He waited for the Beta to agree, before he hung up the phone.

Eve rolled onto her side and ran her fingertips through Flint's hair. He looked at her and sighed contentedly.

"Patrol reports?" She asked knowingly.

"Always." He closed his eyes to her touch.

"It's almost time to get up anyway." Eve nodded.

She moved to sit up but Flint wrapped his arm around her and pulled her to his chest. He kissed her, soaking in the electricity between them. Flint smiled against her lips. He pulled away just enough to look into her glowing, sapphire eyes.

"What time is it?" He breathed curiously.

"Six." She smiled, feeling his thoughts.

"That gives us about two hours before the pups are up." Flint's hand slid up her arm to her shoulder.

"Give or take." Eve nodded.

He kissed her again, separating her thighs with his knee and rolling on top of her. Flint's palms slid under her shirt, heating her skin. His lips trailed down her throat, making her shudder in his hands.

"Flint..." She breathed impatiently.

He looked up at her as she pulled her shirt off. He pulled her back under him, resting his bare chest against hers. His mouth consumed hers as his tongue danced with hers. Flint's fingers pulled eagerly at the waist of her underwear. She lifted her hips as he pulled them off and tossed the over his shoulder.

He sat up an his knees and gazed down at her. Her skin was smooth and electric under his hands. Her hair was shorter than when they'd met, but it still reminded him of golden honey. Her berry sweet and bitter floral scent invaded his every sense and thought. Flint held Eve under her knees, pulling her hips closer to him.

She moaned breathlessly as he entered her, filling her core. Flint groaned and closed his eyes, momentarily taking in the feeling of her warmth. It cascaded over him. Eve arched her back, pushing herself closer to him. He leaned toward her, moving his hips in a steady motion. The friction between them felt overwhelming.

Eve grabbed his shoulders, reaching for his lips. Flint's mouth crashed onto hers as he pinned her hips to the mattress. Her moans grew louder. It felt like his thrusts were sweeping her away on a wave of electric pleasure. She clung to him, pressing him as close to her as she could.

Her legs began trembling on his hips. She rolled her pelvis to match his every movement. Flint ran his tongue over her collar bone. The taste of her sweat made him groan. He bit her mark gently, making Eve yelp as ecstasy coursed through her.

Flint growled as he felt her pleasure crash into him. Eve's moans filled the room a few moments later. She was unable to stop the fire consuming her mind. Flint's body shuddered above her as he pulled her close to him. The feeling of his skin on hers was intoxicating. He kissed her, unwilling to move away from her.

"Mmmm..." Eve hummed against his lips.

"I think we should go again." Flint smirked and gently bit her lower lip.

She giggled and opened her mouth to respond but the sound of small footsteps thundered up the hall. They glanced at the door a moment before the door knob jiggled. It was locked.

"Maybe they're sleeping..." Eli's quiet voice came from the hall.

"Or they ran away." Nora sighed dramatically.

Flint looked back at Eve a moment before they started laughing. He moved to lay beside her and grabbed his phone off the nightstand.

"Are you texting Gracie?" The Luna probed knowingly.

"Yeah. We need a shower before the twin tornados out there." He nodded.

Flint stood and extended his hand to her, pulling Eve to her feet.

"You just want to go again." She giggled and walked into the bathroom.

"Let's kill two birds with one stone, baby." He chuckled and followed behind her.

"Where's Mom?" Eli probed.

"Getting ready for the day, sweetie." Gracie scraped some eggs onto his plate.

"Or they're hiding from you." Nora snickered to herself.

"Shut up." Eli retorted quickly.

"Be nice, you two." The woman replied as she put some scrambled eggs on Nora's plate.

"I'm always nice." The little girl shrugged.

Eli cut his eyes at his sister but he didn't respond. Flint entered the room and poured himself a cup of coffee.

"Good morning, Gracie." He nodded to her.

"Good morning, Alpha. Breakfast?" She offered him a plate of food.

"Thank you." Flint took it from her before sitting at the island beside the twins.

He took a bite of his bacon as Eve entered, going directly to the coffee pot.

"I feel like I'm forgetting something..." She mused aloud.

"Oh?" Flint smiled at her.

"Yeah. Like there was something I was supposed to do." Eve walked over to Eli and propped her elbow on his head, leaning her chin against her palm.

"Heyyy..." He laughed.

"Oh, yeah." She did the same thing to Nora, leaning on her gently. "Something about the pups. What was it?"

Nora giggled and shook off Eve's elbow.

"Gracie, do you remember?" The Luna asked curiously.

"No, nothing comes to mind." The old woman smiled.

"Hmmmm...." Eve walked to the fridge and opened it. "I guess it wasn't important."

"Mom!" Nora laughed.

"Oh yeah, I remember now." She turned around, holding two cupcakes in her hands. "It's your birthday!"

Flint chuckled as the pups both jumped up, reaching for the sugary treats. Eve glanced at their nearly empty plates before crouching to meet their gazes.

"What do we say?" She probed.

"Please!" They chirped in unison.

Eve handed them the cupcakes, waiting for their response.

"Thank you." Eli replied.

He glanced at his sister, whose mouth was covered in frosting. He elbowed her in the side.

"Oh-" She looked at Eve's expectant smirk. "Thank you, Mommy."

"You're both welcome." She nodded.

Eve washed their faces when they were done with their cupcakes.

"Gracie, have you eaten?" The Luna probed.

The woman nodded cheerfully.

"Do you mind getting them dressed? We have to be at the manor in a few hours." She probed.

"No problem." Gracie waved the question away.

"Their clothes are laid out for them already." Eve informed her as she led the pups into the living room.

She sighed and sat beside Flint, stealing a piece of his bacon. He simply wrapped an arm around her shoulders and offered her a piece of toast.

"It's going to be a long day." Flint sighed.

"A good day." Eve corrected him and placed a quick kiss on his cheek.
