Feeds heat, never blessing

Smother binds

Discomfort grinds

Flames shimmer in the skies

Dancing grace in the dark

Slouching zephyr lilting sighs

Crimson moon’s descending arc

The sun begins it great red warning

Ebon eases, east is yearning

Day begins aurora dim

A dot of light so very slim

Smoke blurs soft grey

Coughing greets each day

Simmer of night

Flames searing bright

Air moves, fanning heat

Land burns, running feet

Clamor for clouds

Fleeing crowds

Will summer’s blight
