As the sun rises or mayhap as it goes down

Pearly soft light

dimming to night

Where deep ebon becomes golden peach glow

on the froth of waves as the day does grow

Wheeling gulls in dazzling blue sky

pelicans diving into azure sea nigh

Lapping swells breaking over wandering feet

crashing thunder where cliffs ocean do meet

A fish market stands on a time worn pier

a seal’s harsh bark from rocks jumbled near

Salty sweet air

skin almost bare

Sandy white beaches

as a lover beseeches

Their lost heart’s forgiveness

with audacious brashness

Let’s take a walk in an ocean town
