After that day, Damon kept sending me breakfast, even though I threw it all away. He also waited for me to come home after work, but I always turned him down.

Even Carol, who had always been close to him, was starting to be ignored by him.

“Damon, why aren’t you replying to my messages?”

was Carol!

“It’s all your fault for always being around me. If it weren’t for you, my wife wouldn’t have divorced me!” Damon’s eyes reddened as he yelled at Carol.

Carol was stunned by his outburst. When she came to her senses, her face twisted in anger. “Are you blaming me? Damon, if you hadn’t given me a chance back then, how could I have become the one affecting your marriage?”
