“It was wonderful, Terry,” I said, smiling like a fool. “We kissed, and it was a kiss that
will go down in history.”
“Wonh, so it was that kiss, right?” Terrence seemed excited too.
“That kiss, friend. That kiss,” I stammered, laying my head on the couch and staring
at the ceiling while my thoughts were all focused on that woman, “She’s so perfect,

said, celebrating.
“Yeah, I know that woman loves me.” I smiled, feeling so accomplished.

Terence was malicious.
“Shut up, didn’t have sex. Well, there almost was she was into it, but she mumbled
something about her daughter and ran away,” I said, remembering the way she was
kneeling in front of me, with her face rubbing against my abdomen and my hand
closed in her hair in a moment of extreme madness. If she had let me, I think we
would have made love right there in the middle of the room, but she ran away from
me and left, leaving me helpless.

Terence was laughing, I shook my head and laughed too, not having anything else to

“You didn’t give up, you idiot. You were taken out of the game by her, you were kicked!” He exclaimed, laughing at me. “What? Oh… Sorry, life. I’m just talking to my idiot friend. Oh yeah, sorry. Yes, love, I’m going to the porch.” It was obvious that Terence was being thrown out of the room by his wife because he was laughing so loud. Serves him right. “What’s up, man?” I could now even hear the sound of the wind, indicating that Terence was out.
“Was it Ava?” I asked, getting up to pour more whiskey.
“Yes, she’s mad,” he said and I clicked my tongue.
“Be careful sleeping on the couch today, you idiot.”
“Okay, I’m stupid, but no more than you. Holy shit, you let yourself be taken in by a
kiss!”
“Yes, and I don’t regret it. It was the best kiss of my life,” I said with my head in the
clouds.
“The best and the last, right?” Terence was laughing.
“You just make it worse, damn it.”
