I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 535

Chapter 535 Tired of Living

How could Larry not be aware of her intention?

He didn't want to embarrass her, so he echoed her intention and said, "If you really want to see her, the only way is to go to the Martin Manor and ask Mrs. Martin to go with you. Benjamin may not do me the favor if I take you there." Annie was silent for a while after Larry finished speaking.

She weighed the options and then asked Larry, "Could you go with me?"

Annie didn't know Lily, and she might not be able to see Lily if Annie came on her own. Therefore, she needed Larry to be her wingman.

Larry, of course, would not refuse. He checked the time and realized that the meeting could only be postponed until the afternoon.

He said, "Could you wait for five minutes?"

"No problem." She nodded and said.

Larry left the office.

Then there's only Annie. Now, she had time to take a look at the decorations and furniture around her. Although she had known Larry for a long time, the two of them had not shared much about each other's lives and work, except for this matter. This was the first time she came into Larry's office.

Annie had mixed feelings. In fact, she knew that it might not be right to come to Larry, and they should keep distance. But she had no choice. Apart from asking him for help, she didn't know what else to do.

She let out a deep sigh, and it was hard to tell her feelings.

Larry was gone for quite a while, with no sign of return. Annie started to get a little anxious, so she walked out of the office.

Then she happened to hear the voice from the secretary's office, "That beautiful woman is Mr. Ellison's girlfriend? Could she be the reason for Mr. Ellison's canceled wedding to Ms. Norman? And the postponement of the important meeting? She must be very special to Mr. Ellison."

As soon as Annie heard this, she immediately withdrew their feet. She turned around and went back to the office, closing the door gently, feeling a flurry of emotions inside.

Just as Annie was about to pull herself together, the office door was pushed open from outside.

The man walked in, glanced at her, and said, "All right, let's go."

Annie didn't move and she just looked at him and asked, "Are...Are you busy? If so, you can just assign someone to go with me..."

"Why? You don't want to stay with

me?"

a flicky's eyes narrowed slightly,

a flicker of stiffness crossed his

face, and his voice took on an

indifferent edge.

"No," She immediately denied. "That's not what I meant, I was just afraid you might miss some important work."

He smiled warmly and said, "It won't. Let's go."

Now that he had said so, Annie didn't try to discuss it anymore. He should have arranged everything.

They walked out of the office, then took the elevator down to the ground floor and left the Ellison Group.

It was very quiet. Neither of them had spoken.

It took about forty minutes to get to the Martin Manor. The servants in the house knew Larry very well, so they showed him right in. After parking the car, Larry led Annie into the house.

At first, she asked, "Should I wait outside?"

Annie worried that it would be embarrassing for Harper if she saw that Annie had shown up unannounced and without a gift. "No, they are all very nice people." Larry smiled and replied.

He suddenly felt that the situation was like taking her to meet his parents, and the corners of his mouth turned up even more. Annie didn't know what made him so happy. She just thought maybe he was laughing at her for being too cautious.

When Larry showed Annie in, Lily was engaged in a new flower arrangement. He explained what they had come for and introduced Annie to her. Lily warmed to Annie immediately.

Upon learning that Harper was now confined to the villa by Benjamin and unable to go anywhere, Lily decided to drop her flower arrangement class and join them.

On the way, Lily said angrily, "Is Benjamin losing his mind? Is he trying to create chaos?"
