Chapter 109 

Still in shock, Nydia could not say a word. She only stared at Bentley’s arm. The wound was long and deep, and blood kept gushing out. 

Bentley noticed her gaze and quickly turned sideways to avoid it. He was clearly in so much pain. that he was sweating profusely, but he comforted her with a seemingly indifferent gentleness, “Don’t be afraid. I’m fine.” 

With that, he took her hand and walked quickly to the lounge. 

Veronica immediately followed. 

The police and ambulance arrived quickly and the criminal was taken away. 

Bentley got into the ambulance. Nydia was worried and followed him to the hospital. Veronica stayed behind to appease the fans and negotiate with the media. Lance and the others dealt with the company’s affairs. 

Injuring his artery, Bentley entered the resuscitation room. 

Nydia sat outside waiting for him. Her milky white dress was stained with blood. 

At first, she was very calm, abnormally calm. 

After an hour, she began to rub her hands together. She kept taking deep breaths and blinking. 

Two hours later, she lowered her eyes. Her long eyelashes fluttered violently, and tears streamed. down her face. 

She thought that her life would be finished if anything happened to Bentley. The Wiley family would not let her off, and she would never forgive herself. “He is so kind and outstanding. It’s not worth it for him to lose his life for me. As long as he survives, as long as he is fine, I can do anything!” 

Edda, wearing a white coat, walked over and sat beside Nydia. She reached out and patted her back. 

Before he fainted, to prevent the Wiley family from making things difficult for Nydia, Bentley specially called Edda and asked her to sign it. 

Edda went to work after signing the papers. She thought it was about time, so she came down. Compared to Nydia’s panic, she was much calmer and more rational.

“Yes.” Edda nodded and smiled as she retracted her hand. She looked at her pale face. “I’m a doctor. I don’t lie.” 

Nydia felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from her heart. Her tense nerves relaxed slightly as she asked Edda, “Does your family know about it?” 

“Yes.” Edda looked down at her expensive watch and reminded her kindly, “You can take the safe passage now. You shouldn’t encounter them.” 

Ryan had never allowed Nydia to get close to Bentley. If he knew that Bentley was injured because of her, he would not let her off. 

“Thank you,” Nydia said, stood up, and was about to leave when Edda suddenly called out to her again, “Nydia, add me on WhatsApp. After Grandpa and the others leave, I’ll send you a message, and you can come again.” 

“Okay.” Nydia agreed. 

After adding her on WhatsApp, Nydia quickly opened the security door. At the same time, the Wiley family people came out of the elevator. 

Nydia dragged her tired body back home and washed up casually. She changed into a clean set of clothes and waited for Edda’s message. 

As she waited, she somehow fell asleep. 

It was not until the sky darkened that she was awakened by the ringing of her phone. 

Nydia thought that it was Edda calling. Therefore, without looking at the number, she picked up the call and asked, “How is it?” 

The person on the other end of the line was stunned for a second. Then, he smiled and said, “Nydia, I’m your uncle.”
