Chapter 8

“I think you should go.” He whispered. “Well do you want to know what I think?” I whispered, smirking. “Not really.” He whispered back. I don’t really care if he wanted to know what I thought or not, I was gonna tell him anyway. “Well let’s see,” I leant over right to his ear, “I think that you thought wrong about me not being allowed to order anyone around becuase let’s not forget I am an Alpha, if you like it or not, Cole.” I whispered as I stood up straight again, Ryan and Xavier were shocked. I closed my eyes letting them slowly go back to their normal colour. I turned and walked to the front of the class with Zaya, we sat opposite from each other, as always. Zaya was trying to hold back her laughter.

I couldn’t believe how she thinks she can just walk over me, well she thought wrong. ‘She’s gonna pay for that.’ I said to Stan laughing. Stan gulped. ‘You’re not gonna do anything to drastic, are you?’ He sounded worried. ‘Oh don’t worry this’ll be good.’ I said laughing even more. Ryan and Xavier started laughing, they tapped me on the shoulder, I didn’t turn around but they knew I was listening. “Dude you my friend just got roasted.” Ryan said as they laughed even louder. “Shut up.” I growled, they stopped laughing but Sam heard everything she was giggling. I couldn’t help it but I smiled at that, I didn’t know why, I just couldn’t help it.

For the next few days I had spent at Jo’s house hanging out with her, Zaya and Hannah. We were playing monopoly, when Leo walked into the room. “Hey guys,” he said waving and making his way over to us, “I was just wondering if you still wanted that training lesson, with everything that happened I didn’t want to push it.” He said looking at me. “Yeah, sure why not, when would suit you?” I said giving a kind smile. “Actually I got time now if you want.” He said, I looked back at the girls. I didn’t want to just ditch them, but they all understood that I wanted to train so they nodded and approved of it. “Sounds good.” I said smiling.

We came into a massive gym filled with punching bags, fighting rings, mats on the floor and boxing gloves hanging on the walls. “I told everyone to get out just in case you felt uncomfortable with other people watching you train.” He said as he made his way over to the boxing gloves. “Thanks.” I said following him. “We’ll start with boxing today.” He said grabbing a pair of gloves and tossing them to me, I grabbed them and slipped them on. We entered the ring. “Let’s see what you got.” Leo said smiling. I threw a punch but he easily dodged it. “Come on, you can do better than that.” He said waiting for another punch. “Just warming up .” I breathed. I went for another punch he went to dodge but I was to quick. This time my glove connected with his jawline. “Alright then, I’m not playing nice now.” He laughed. He sat down in the middle of the ring, I looked at him in confusion. I circled him with glowing eyes trying to figure out his next move. Then I eventually gave up trying to figure him out, so I lunged forward and tackled him to the ground. But he wrapped his legs around me and turned us over so now he had me pinned to the ground holding my wrists. “When you tackled me you didn’t hold my wrists down or my legs. Again.” He said as we trained for hours, until the door opened. Leo and I were circling each other ready to go for another punch when he looked away to see who it was. So I took that to my advantage, I punched and tackled him to the ground, I eventually got my arm around his neck and my legs wrapped around his stomach making sure he couldn’t get out of it this time. He had, had enough so he tapped out. He got up coughing and wheezing for air. “Sorry.” I grimaced. “No you’re alright, I shouldn’t have looked away from my opponent.” Leo said coughing. “Bravo bravo,” i turned to see Cole clapping, “I’ve only ever been able to take him out, but no one else and now you just you.. just took him out like it was nothing.” He said as he stood there shocked. “Yeah, she can throw some good punches.” Leo tried to laugh but it ended up turning into a cough. “Okay then if you say she can throw some punches and I seen her take you down then how about tomorrow morning 7:30 don’t be late.” He ordered. “Uh ahhh.” I said shaking my head. “Right, how could I forget, that you don’t take orders from me,” he sighed, “fine then turn up whenever you’re ready.” He said throwing a water bottle each to me and Leo. Leo and I were dripping with sweat, Leo was as red as a tomato and I was sure I was too but with glowing red eyes to match. I took a big gulp of water. “Thank you for the training.” I said looking at Leo with a soft smile. “No problem,” he said also with a smile, “but next time not to kill me, please.” Leo said laughing and I joined in. I looked back to Cole. “I never asked before, but, how did you find me when I was attacked?” I furrowed my eyebrows. He stood there, not knowing what to say. “I..uh....um....I followed your scent.” He mumbled. “Wow, Alpha lost for words.” Leo chuckled but stopped when Cole glared at him. “But why? I, mean like, why did you come find me?” I asked. “Just....just because okay.” Cole said, with anger rising in his voice and with that he trudged out of the gym.“Oh My Goodness, why are you so annoying.” I screamed as the door shut behind him.
