Chapter Husband’s first 7
Chapter 7
This was probably the first time in thirty years that Jay had been hit.
Not knowing about Chloe’s death. He smeared Chloe’s name together with Lilian. He also dirtied her ashes.
One thing after another. I felt that slapping him was simply a reward!
Such a person deserved to be sent to hell to be tortured forever!
Jay left. He left me a driver and a car.
He took a taxi to the hospital.
He said he wanted to find Lilian so he could ask her clearly. He tried to find out what was going on with the surveillance and Chloe.
When he arrived at the hospital, the first thing he did was check the outpatient surveillance.
As a result, he did not see Lilian at all in the allergy clinic.
He quickly thought of something. Then he started checking the places he had been.
Sure enough, Lilian’s figure was hiding quietly behind a corner where he had been.
When she heard the nurse say Chloe had died, Lilian collapsed to the ground.
Her panic was evident on the screen.
Out of fear, she left the hospital straight away without telling Jay.
Seeing this, Jay angrily took out his phone to call, but Lilian had already disappeared.
Not only that, he enlarged the surveillance footage and saw that

Lilian’s face was clean. There was no trace of a rash.
So he called the doctor and retrieved Lilian’s medical records.
He saw that the allergen screening did not diagnose an alcohol allergy.
He angrily punched the table.
The desk shook violently. The doctor was startled.
He kept wiping the sweat from his forehead.
The next second, Jay asked coldly, “Then what if the allergen needs to be changed? Would you still stamp it?”
The doctor swallowed and then answered, “There’s no report that can be modified. Now, everything is electronically stamped. We don’t stamp them. But what if she photoshopped it…”
Hearing this, Jay’s gaze gradually turned icy.
At this moment, he finally remembered that Lilian loved to wear perfume.
He remembered I had said that all perfumes on the market contained alcohol.
Jay dejectedly took a cigarette from his pocket. When he was about to light it, he saw the doctor’s frightened look.
Then he remembered it was a hospital. He irritably threw the cigarette into the trash can.

Self–blame filled his heart.
He had never felt so defeated.
After leaving the hospital, he took a taxi straight to the police station. He reported and handed over the surveillance footage.
As he stepped into the police station, Chloe’s ashes were finally laid to rest after much turmoil.

Chapter 7
I knelt in defeat before Chloe’s tombstone. I cried
uncontrollably.
I cried until I dry heaved.
I kept apologizing to Chloe. I hoped she would forgive me, her failed mother.
I hoped in her next life, she would be born into a happy family.
If I had known this day would come. If I had known from the beginning that Jay would never love me. If…
I weakly curled my lips. There was only a bitter smile on my face.
“In this world, how many “ifs” are there?”
I reached out and gently touched Chloe’s photo. I remembered
what she looked like when she was born.
Jay left me alone in the hospital. He let the medical staff take care of me.
When I didn’t have the strength to get up, he took Chloe to see Lilian.
He said that while Chloe was young, he wanted to foster a relationship early.
Looking back, maybe he had already decided to let Lilian in at that time.
I was just his reluctant choice.
After being forced to give up Lilian, the place of her would only occupy more of his heart.
Unfortunately, I understood this too late.
It was all too late.
If my mom saw me today, would she blame me for being

I leaned my upper body gently against the tombstone. I touched
Chloe’s photo one stroke at a time.
I could never see her again.
