Chapter 66
Scott POV.
"How are you feeling meeting her after a long time?" my therapist, Raymond James, asked.
I sighed and looked down at my joint hands as I recalled the day I met Camille. "Honestly,..." I smiled at him, raising my eyes at him. " It was as if I had met an entirely new person. She was watching me as if I were the filthiest person she had ever encountered. I caught a glimpse of fear in her eyes when I talked about our daughter, but she remained strong." "Are you still in love with her?" he asked almost quietly.
"I never stopped loving her." My throat tightened with emotion as I cleared my throat. "And I'll never stop loving her."
He wrote something on his notepad before looking at me. "How does it feel to love someone who hates you?" he asked.
"The strength of hate is equal to the strength of love. If she hates me, it means she still has some feelings for me."
"But she loves somebody else." The doctor reminded me and broke into a smile. "Well, you look happier than before. Is Camille the reason or did you sign another blockbuster movie?"
"This is my daughter," I smiled at him. "She is my daughter."
"Are you sure she's your daughter?" Without saying a word, I pulled my phone from my pocket and held it up to him. As soon as he saw Colette's picture, his eyes grew wide. "She's just like you. Like father, like daughter."
"I don't want her to become like me. I am a cold-hearted bastard who treated her mother in the most horrible possible way. I will never forgive myself for everything I did to Camille and she also will never forgive me."
"If she loves you truly, she will forgive you." He studied my expression while playing with his pen. He was the only person in front of whom I could be myself. It was clear to him that I had become weaker inside, and that my mental state had deteriorated. Being able to speak with someone was very helpful. Despite my past mistakes, Raymond never judged me. "So do you want to pursue her?"
"I'll pursue her unless she forgives me."
"That's a positive sign for you, Scott. You look alive."
I shrugged and remained silent. "I gotta leave, Ray. I have got shit to do." I broke into a laugh and pushed my chair back, rising. Giving him a brief nod before walking away.
My mobile chirped with notifications as I pulled it out and scrolled the screen. My jaw flexed when I saw Camille's and Conan's pictures together. They shot their intimate scenes half-naked. I kept scrolling and jealousy shot straight through my core. It was Rika who had sent me those photographs with a blinking emoji.
I gritted my teeth and stuffed my phone back into my pocket. It had been a week since I returned from London but I was unable to forget Camille and Colette. They are mine and the feeling of owning them rose in my chest. I loathed myself for throwing Camille out of my life when she was carrying my baby in her womb. Why did not I realize at that moment why I was blind by so much hatred for her? Everything was going well until Maura called me to her place and that all started. I should have stayed with Camille when she asked me to stay. I should have loved her more at that time. The truth was I never gave Camille a chance. She always begged for my attention but I refused her.
Getting into the car I drove straight to my office. I arrived there in fifteen minutes. I found Maura sitting in my chair when I entered my office. She had this same smirk on her face as if I was going to give her what she was there for. I did not intend to fuck her. She was not my fiancee nor my wife and I was not bound to give her pleasure. I had never slept with anyone else besides Camille and Maura.
"I suppose you have been shooting in Las Vegas..." I said sarcastically which vanished her smirk and replaced it with a scowl. She knew what I was referring to. "Are you taunting me, Scott?" she asked with a glimmer in her eye.
"Not really, Maura." I gazed at her body. She wore a bodycon dress that accentuated her front and back. That damn piece of cloth almost had her tits spilling out. She seduced everyone she passed by and that behavior of hers bothered me. "I saw your blue movie yesterday," I said in disappointment. "This is not what I want you to do."
She lay down and removed her thong before placing it on my office table. Her act almost made me cringe. Standing up she turned around and unzipped her dress, revealing her smooth pale skin. Slowly the dress slid down her body and collapsed on the floor, leaving her bare. I sighed in annoyance, looking away.
"Scott..." Her voice was husky as she climbed onto the table and rose her buttocks in the air. "Please take me, baby."
"Get out, Maura!" I gritted my teeth and paced to my chair. Ignoring her presence I opened my laptop and started working on it. She didn't budge from her place and remained rooted in the same spot. This woman disgusted me. "Are you deaf?"
She stepped off the table and kneeled in front of me. Before she could touch my crotch I grasped her wrist and threw it away. "Don't..." I warned her, glaring at her hard. It hurt her because tears gathered in her eyes as she started to weep quietly.
"I'll kill her if this is what you want me to do, Scott," she said angrily.
"What are you talking about, Maura?" I kept my cool, though I was well aware of what she was talking about.
"I'm talking about Cara Davidson," she declared. "And Colette Davids..." Before she could finish herself I shot out my hand and grabbed her neck and slammed her against the table. She yelped in horror when I pushed her head against the wooden table and came on top of her, gazing into her terrified eyes.
"One word about her I won't think about before changing your face, sweetheart. I'm done with your shits and I no longer want you in my damn life. "Leave me alone." Her chest rose and fell rapidly as she watched me, dazed. I loosened my grip when I realized she was choking for breath. My eyes were drawn to my fingerprints on her long, slender neck.
Shit! I hate doing this to a woman.
I was withdrawing myself from her but Maura wrapped her arms around mine, pulling me into her. "Scott, please don't do this to me. I love you. I love you so much. I can't live without you. I wanted to change myself for you. If you marry me, I won't do drugs or porn. Scott, please..."
My breath rasped as I closed my eyes. I stayed silent for a few beats before staring into her tearful eyes. "I can't marry you, Maura. I just can't..."
Her lips trembled as she let go of me and sat down. I picked up her dress and gave it to her. "If you cannot be mine, I will make sure you never be anyone else."
I laughed loudly while shaking my head. "Are you threatening me?"
"Yes, I'm threatening you. You've always wanted to own her, right? You set your eyes on her and never let them go. You wanted only one woman in your life. No one will remain in your life if I kill her." My breath shook and my jaw clenched harder as I held back my hot anger. I didn't want to scare her again because this time if I grab her I would probably harm her.
"I fucked many gangsters and they could do anything for me..."
"Maura, don't you dare!" I growled which earned a smirk on her face.
She broke into laughter and I kept watching her.
"So why are you calling me here?" Rika asked while looking around the restaurant. She leaned forward and whispered, "To be honest I have never been in this restaurant before. I have a few wealthy boyfriends, but they can't afford me here. How come you brought me here in an hour? Don't you think I am underdressed and my makeup is plain? If you told me I would wear my expensive cocktail dress, you would have no idea how much it costs..." She kept on for a few minutes before releasing a long sigh and drinking her coffee. "You know I have always dreamed..."
"Now shut up," I said softly and sipped my wine. "I'm not here to listen to your chit-chat."
"Okay." Rika rolled her eyes and took a big bite of her sandwich. "What are you here for by the way?"
"I'm here for Camille and Colette."

"She is Camille, Rika."
"I know, but why is she treating me like I am some sort of disease?" she chided. "And that asshole, Conan Arthur... he is a complete shit."
"Listen, I don't know what history you two have but don't bring Camille into it."
Her jaw dropped as she glared at me coldly. "You're a multi-bastard. No one cares about me. I had died for her and all she is giving me is a cold shoulder..."
"Muara wants to kill Camille," I interrupted and she fell silent scanning my expression. When I didn't smile she gritted her teeth and stood up. "If she tries to hurt a single hair of Camille I swear I'll dump all of her feet down."
"Rika, sit down...people are watching us," I whispered and pulled her into her chair. I looked around and smiled at a few people who were watching us curiously.
"How could a bitch talk like that?" Rika was flustered.
"Maura wants to marry me."
"But you two..." she frowned in confusion. "But you two are married."
"Lower your voice, dammit." I almost regretted bringing her into this place. This must be discussed in my office and at home, but I could neither ask her in my office because Maura was constantly hovering around, nor could I ask her at home because of the media.
"You're not married, Scott?" Rika asked quietly.
I shook my head in no and a slow smile built on her face as surprise sank into her.
