His Lethal Love

Chapter 61

Scott POV.

"Scott!" "Scott!" "Scott!"

I heard someone call my name loudly. I turned around and pressed a pillow against my ears, groaning. "Stay the hell away!"

"Wake up, bastard!" I felt her violently shake my shoulder. "Did you have sex last night?" My eyes popped out in shock as she spoke out. My attention was drawn to Rika, who looked over me with an expression of annoyance. "You had sex here last night."

"Are you crazy?" I exclaimed, sat down, and scanned myself, but then I froze. The only thing I had on was my briefs. "What the fuck is that?" "Exactly, what the fuck is that, asshole? Your sex pictures have been viral across the country."

"What are you talking about?" I asked with my clenched teeth. "I was having a drink and then..." I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration.

"Then what...?" She crossed her arms over her chest and gazed at me like she believed I had sex last night. "You brought a chick here and fucked her the entire night."

"Shut up, Rika. And don't talk about me like that ever again. I have a wife and I am faithful to her. I have never slept with anyone besides her."

"So what is this?" She held up her phone to reveal my naked pictures. A blonde woman lay on top of me. "Your videos are also viral." She played a video of me lying on a couch and a woman riding my hips. Damn!

"This is fake! I didn't have sex with anyone last night."

"You may or may not have had sex last night, but how are you going to stop people from labelling you a cheater bastard? Have you checked out your social media?"

"I don't use social media. My secretary takes care of all this stuff and he will handle everything."

"Oh god, Scott. Keep your arrogance in check. It's clear you're in trouble."

"I just don't give a damn!" I growled into her face, frightened. Her eyes widened as she stepped back from me. The two of us didn't speak for a while, but later I broke the awkward silence between us. "I did not have sex last night, Rika. Trust me," I said calmly and glanced at her, who was staring at her feet pouting. She looked pretty when she kept her big mouth shut.

"To be honest, I don't believe you." She raised her eyes, staring at me. "And I'll never believe you."

"I don't want you to," I said with irritation. "But I want you to try..."

"Well..." she sighed. "I might try."

"Thanks." I smiled tightly and looked around the room for my clothes. "Where are my clothes?"

"I don't know." Rika frowned, scanning the living room. "Where did you put them?"

"Wait..." And the realisation hit me. "Why does it feel like someone framed me?"

"What?" she raised a brow in confusion. "Why would someone do that? Who was with you last night?"

A blurry image of her flashed in my head. The woman handed me the wallet I had left on the counter, but when I got closer to her everything turned dark. "It was a woman."

"The woman you had sex with...?" she scratched her head in confusion. "I'm confused. You were with a woman but you didn't have sex last night. You are naked but you did not get between her legs. You are loyal but these pictures...ugh! I'm damn confused."

"I didn't have sex," I said firmly. "Can you bring my clothes?"

"Well, you don't look terrible in this look." Rika eyed me from head to toe. "You have a firm body. Having sex with you is kinda fun."

I rolled my eyes, tugging my fingers at the band of my briefs. "Let's do it then."

"What are you doing?" Rika screamed when I began to pull down my briefs. "Jesus, Scott you're a shameless asshole!"

"Yup, but you are the one who is ogling my body."

"Shut up!" She looked away, her face flustered. "I'm not staring at your body."

"I need to get some fresh air. Please bring my clothes."

"Okay, fine I'm bringing them."

"You look perfect," Rika plastered a smile, scanning me up and down. She brought me a pair of cargo jeans and a black hoodie.

I combed my hair with my fingers and pulled a hoodie on my head and put on sunglasses. "Pick me up in an hour."

She nodded. "Till then I will take a nap. I didn't sleep yesterday."

"Why?"

"I just..." she sighed heavily, looking somewhat tense. "Sometimes I find it difficult to fall asleep with deep wounds. I might have recovered but those memories..." she shook her head, letting out an empty laugh. "Leave it, you won't understand it."

"Rika..." I whispered, walking up to her and holding her shoulder. "I'm sorry for what my brother did to you and Camille..."

"Your stupid sorry won't change anything, Scott!" she spat, shaking herself away from me. "I don't want to talk about it again."

"Rika, listen..." I tried to stop her but she stormed out of the room angrily.

"Dammit!" I hissed, running my fingers through my hair in irritation.

**********

I walked out of the hotel, disguising myself. The photographers were already gathered outside the hotel waiting for the naked Scott Martinez to come out. Lowering my head I passed through them. They had not even noticed me. Rika had done a good job by bringing these clothes.

"Where is Scott Martinez?" Someone called out.

"He had sex with one of the models or he might still have sex with her..." They laughed.

I couldn't use my car since everyone recognized my Mercedes. I had to walk a few yards before Rika picked me up. Sliding my hands in my pants pocket I walked the pedway, enjoying the pleasant morning in London. The sidewalks were packed with pedestrians as people were rushing to work. A busker played music and entertained those passing by. I smiled at him but unfortunately, I had no money to donate to him so I took off my watch from my wrist and dropped it on his head. His eyes widened in surprise when he examined the watch. Without sparing him another look I walked away.

I stopped in front of the public park. A sad smile pulled across my lip when old memories freshened in my head. I was born in the UK and lived there for six years before moving to America after the death of my mother. I remembered those days when mom used to bring us public parks and how joyful those days were. Once she was gone everything changed forever and we were no longer innocent. Her death impacted Samuel deeply. He used to be closer to her. He made himself a psychopath.

I entered the park, fallen leaves carpeting the walkways and lawns. The birds splashed in a fountain, toddlers ran around and people were doing jogging and yoga. My eyes were caught by a little girl who was standing near a pond and gazing at something inside it. I walked up to her and stood next to her, following her eyes. She was feeding fish.

"It's cute," I smiled, eyeing her delicate pale hand that was gripping a packet of fish food.

"Uh..." she looked up at me, making me freeze in amazement. She had a familiar pair of eyes. She gazed at me with her huge blue eyes and long lashes. Her light brown hair was styled in a braid. She wore a polka dot dress with a white hat. "What did you say, Mishter?"

Her voice was soft and loving.

I didn't know why I felt like I knew her for so long. She looked familiar to me. Her face, behaviour, and voice. She was so damn much adorable. And when she smiled my heart melted and an automatic smile appeared on my face. "Your fish is cute," I told her, kneeling beside her. Immediately, she shifted away from me as if I had scared her.

"Who are you, Mishter?"

"I won't hurt you."

"Why are you looking weirdh? Mom says don't be near strangers."

"Your mom says the right thing. Don't talk to strangers, but..." I extended my hand. "We'll no longer be strangers once we introduce ourselves. My name is Scott. What's yours?"

Her eyes were fixed on my hand as she frowned suspiciously. "Your glasses." she pointed her tiny finger to my sunglasses.

I took them off and let her see my face. Her jaw dropped as her expression shone with awe. "Colbey Moontrack!" she shouted, grabbing everyone's attention.

Then I quickly put on my glasses and forced a smile at her, glancing around and spotting a few people watching me like I was a burglar. "Shh!" I said while placing my finger on her mouth. "Don't shout..."

"I love you so much!" she cut me off with her sweet words.

I felt a surge of joy in my chest. It had been four years since I had experienced such a feeling. "I love you too," I whispered with a smile.

"I am your big fan," she mumbled, stepping closer to me. "You're my chuperhero."

I laughed. "Am I your chuperhero?" I pinched her small nose.

"Can you give me your auchograph?"

"Can you give me a kiss in return?"

"Yes." She reached out and kissed my cheek. My heart began to beat differently after a long time. I squeezed my eyes, unable to ignore the feeling. It was as if my soul had a bond with her. The peace, joy, and protection I felt in her arms were overwhelming. In an instant, she became my sunshine.

"Colette!" She pulled herself back when a woman called her out.

Colette. It was her name.

"Shit!" she hissed out. Seeing a woman over her shoulder, her eyes grew bigger. "I have to go now!"

A middle-aged woman approached her and grabbed her arm. "Where have you been? I have been searching for you for an hour. You just scared me to death."

Colette was slowly dragged away from me by her. A strange kind of heaviness settled on my chest, watching her move away from me. My legs urged me to stand up and follow her. I was tempted to follow her, but in the end, my brain questioned me. Who was she?

No one.

In my eyes, she is one and I am none.

It might be that I had a connection with her in a previous life, which is why I felt so connected to her.
