Chapter 60
Camille POV.
I watched him on the monitor. "Scott Martinez..." I whispered to myself, leaning against my chair and smirking. "You're trapped, darling and you haven't realized it yet."
My heart skipped a beat when Scott grasped Rika's arm firmly and ripped her away from the waitress she had been sticking with. I hated to see her get hurt. She woke up from a coma four years ago and I found it from my sister Natalie. I had been longing to meet her for years. It took all my strength to stop myself from approaching her. I knew I wouldn't stop myself from pouring out all my feelings once I met her. I would end up telling her everything and put an end to my plans of revenge. I would never get my revenge if I got closer to Rika and my family.
I zoomed in on the screen when I saw a girl clinging to Scott's arm. She was unrecognizable to me. She didn't look like Maura. I waited for her to pull herself back. Rika tried to tear her away from him but she didn't budge from her place and stayed closer to Scott. After a moment Scott's expression softened when she withdrew herself and said something to him.
Holding out her hand she asked him to dance. Scott seemed like he was about to refuse her but she quickly dragged him to the floor. Scott placed his hand on her waist as he twirled her body around smoothly.
Everyone stopped dancing and looked at those two.
They got the whole crowd's attention.
"What are you watching?" I was startled by Conan's voice as he came next to me and looked at the monitor. "Scott Martinez is at the party?" he asked as if he didn't know about it.
"Yeah, didn't you know about it?" I asked, brushing a few strands of my hair off my face.
"He usually doesn't attend small parties."
"I think he is here for his next movie, remember?"
"Does he know about you?"
"I have no idea." I looked back at Scott. "I'm thinking of creating a scandal today."
"I believe in you, baby." Conan kissed the top of my head. "Let's work on plan one."
"I'm ready," I said with a hint of nervousness. Pushing back the chair I rose to my feet and walked up to the mirror, checking myself. I wore a silver high-slit dress with my hair slicked back. My makeup was natural with tomato-red lips. "You look stunning," Conan said and approached me and licked the side of my neck. "Mmm...delicious."
"Conan..." I broke into a laugh when he tickled me with his tongue. "You'll mess up everything. Stop doing this."
He sighed and stepped back. "Your majesty," he teased me and I snorted.
I walked downstairs and was greeted by a group of people. The crowd threw their heads toward me and watched me as I passed through them. I approached Mr. Cronet, one of my business partners. I offered him a polite smile. I saw Scott who had not noticed my presence yet.
"As usual you're one of the finest pieces God has ever made," Cronet smiled and kissed my hand. "Pleased to see you, Miss Davidson. How are you?" "I'm fine, what about you?"
"We're working on your script." He took a sip of his wine. "It'll be finished by next week. We've discussed the time and location of the shoot and shot list..." he kept on. I glanced back at Scott who was looking at me and I felt my heart jump off my chest.
"I need to go..." I said. My voice trembled as I hurried out of the crowd. I felt my heart slam against my ribcage when Scott followed me. I squeezed the gown in my fists and turned to my right and immediately stepped into the elevator. "Calm down, Cam!" I scolded myself and planted my hand on my chest. "Damn! How will I be able to fight him if I keep running like this?"
I closed my eyes and rested my head against the wall of the elevator as it went up. I needed to be strong otherwise he would win again. I counted to ten, feeling my heart rate slow down. Once it was done I inhaled and exhaled five times and adjusted my hair and dress. Stepping out of the elevator I glanced around the hallway and looked for Conan but he was nowhere in sight.
"Where the hell are you?" I muttered under my breath and strolled down the patio. I froze the moment my eyes settled on him. He was standing next to Rika, glaring at her and Scott was just behind them, watching them with a puzzled expression.
I could sense trouble. As soon as Conan advanced on Rika, Scott barged between them and pushed Conan by his shoulder, saying something.
Then they turned around and walked their way. Rika looked shocked and a bit scared and Conan appeared furious.
But why?
Do they know each other?
She might have hit Conan accidentally or done something hilarious by spotting him. I remembered she had become crazy whenever she saw popular personalities.
Shaking this thought away I entered my room and thought of a plan. I was supposed to create a scandal for Scott Martinez but all seemed in vain as soon as he appeared in front of me.
"You're still here..." I jumped back when Conan emerged from thin air. "What are you doing here?"
"You scared me." I gasped.
He examined my face for a moment before speaking out, "You look nervous. What happened?"
"I just confronted him," I said, rubbing my throbbing head. "He gave me a creep."

"Is he scary to you, Cami?" Conan laughed.
"I'm afraid I might lose my shit, Conan."
"Cami, you won't trust me. I've been watching you for the last four years and you've always been strong."
"I don't if I..."
"No..." He placed his finger on my lip. "He is still the same pompous bastard. You have to teach him a lesson. Wrap him around your little finger, break him up into pieces, and then dump him as if he had never existed." "Yes." I nodded, clenching my fists.
"Let's do it, baby."
********
It was four in the morning and the entire hall was empty except for a few people. Scott was one of them. A bottle of wine was sitting on the counter next to him. While I couldn't figure out why he was sitting there, I felt that he was there for Camille. The same person who died four years ago in an airplane crash.
Cara was born after Camille died.
I strolled over to him and sat down next to him. In my chest, I felt my heart beat faster.
"I'd like a glass of white wine," I said, and the bartender smiled and poured me a drink. Scott looked drunk as his head hung low and his body posture slouched.
"Can I have your autograph, ma'am? My daughter is a big fan of yours." the bartender inquired with hesitation.
"Sure." I fished my lipstick from my clutch and scribbled my signature on tissue paper before handing it to him. An enormous smile spread across his face as his eyes flickered with happiness.
Scott shot his eyes at me when my arm accidentally brushed his. His eyes were bloodshot and his eyelids were heavy. A few strands of hair hanging above his head, giving him the vibe of a bad boy.
"You?" he whispered in shock, rubbing his eyes and trying to clear his vision. "Damn! I'm hallucinating again. She is not her...she is not her..." he muttered, curling his fingers into fists. "She can't be her! She is dead, man! Fuck, she is dead!" His chest heaved as he clenched his teeth and squeezed his eyes. His body tensed.
Plastering a smile I placed my hand on his shoulder gently. "Are you okay?" I asked softly.

He paused the moment he heard my voice and snapped his eyes at me, staring at me. I felt my heart and breath rising when his eyes detailed my face. He brushed my hand from his and sprang up from the stool, making his way to the door. "Excuse me, sir," I called out and grabbed his wallet from the counter, rushing after him. His feet wobbled as he turned around to see me. His expression hardened when I approached him. "You forgot it on the counter." My lips trembled to smile when his eyes settled on my mouth.
I breathed and breathed and breathed. Scott stepped up to me but I didn't budge from my spot and stared at him back. Our eyes locked. I wondered if he recognized me. His familiar warmth and scent washed over me.
I hate him!
He came even closer to me, making me inhale his alcoholic breath. "You..." I exhaled sharply when he brushed my hair off my face, staring into my eyes. "... exactly..look like her..." Before he could finish himself he lost his balance and collapsed to the ground.
A smile appeared on my face as I looked at the bartender and nodded to him thanks. With my autograph, I left a note on tissue paper and asked him to drop sleeping pills in his drink. In return, I gave him a few bucks.
I and Conan took Scott to one of the hotel rooms. Conan was amused by my plan as he patted my back proudly. "What's next?" he asked.
I gazed at Scott's unconscious body as he lay on the couch. His long hair covered his eyes and his mouth was slightly parted.
"Undress him," I said without taking my eyes off Scott.
"Sure." Conan laughed and started to follow my order. I crossed my arms over my chest, watching everything quietly. Conan took off his tie, suit jacket, and shirt. I frowned at a long mark on Scott's abdomen. "He might get it from a stunt," Conan said when he gauged my expression.
"Like I give a damn." I looked away from his body and tried to divert my mind.
"Should I take his underwear as well?" Conan asked.
"No." I turned to him. "She'll be here at any moment."
"We better leave." I nodded and left the room without sparing a single glance at my biggest enemy.
This is the first step of my Fatal Revenge.
