Chapter 75: Be the Luna
IN THE MANSON
"What took you guys so long to come?" Athena asked with a frown as she closed the bedroom as soon as Suzanne and Patricia
went inside the room.
She seemed to be in a hurry and in distress. She was actually in a hurry and in distress. She was in a hurry because Dominic
would be back anytime as it was lunch time and Ace was sleeping at that moment.
And she was in distress because she still couldn’t get over the conversation between her and Dominic from today morning.
Gosh! Her life was so messed up!
"Sorry, Athy.We are stuck in the pack house."
Suzanne said with a tired sigh as she slumped on the bed with a thud.
Patricia followed her act and sat beside her the same way.
They both looked extremely tired and exhausted.
"What’s wrong with you both? Why do you look so tired?" She asked with a frown while walking back toward them.
She took a seat beside them and waited for them to explain the situation.
"This is what happens when you don’t have a Luna even after having one." Patricia said while confusing her wording.
She was hinting at something which Athena acted as if she didn’t understand but she understood them very well.
"What do you mean?" She asked with a frown.
"Something happened in the pack house and it was messed up there. We were having a hard time handling that."
Suzanne said while looking at Athena with an accusing frown as well, just like Patricia.
Athena’s frown deepened seeing the look they were giving her but she still planned to avoid it.
"What happened there? Is everything okay? Where was Dominic then? Didn’t he do anything to help you with the problem?" She
asked with a confused look on her face, trying to make sense of their words.
More than confusion, she was worried. She was worried for Dominic and about the pack. She didn’t want to feel this sort of thing
but she couldn’t help herself.
They were always with her since the time her identity was revealed in front of the whole pack.
Well, her partial identity as her actual identity is still not known to her or anyone.
"Well, Athy, an alpha doesn’t involve himself with everything that happens in the pack and that’s when we need a Luna to take
care of those things."
Suzanne said while looking deep into her eyes, trying to hint at the obvious thing with a lot of determination.
"Well, where is the alpha at this moment?" Athena asked with a raised eyebrow.
There was a frown still. He didn’t say anything to her about where he was going even after she tried to ask.
But he didn’t reply to her and walked out of the house.
She didn’t try to stop him, thinking that he might need some alone time to think about things. She definitely didn’t like how he kept
her out of things, it made her feel really bad.
But she still didn’t say anything as she was very confused about their relationship at that moment.
One moment they were good but the next moment they were back to square one.
Away from each other, it doesn’t matter how much that was hurting them. She couldn’t even blame him.
It was her who was still having the issues.
She had many issues and she couldn’t get into something without solving them. She didn’t want to drag her past to her
future. She wants to step into the future with everything bad and incomplete things behind.
"Alpha has gone for inspection at the borders. But it has never been a problem before. He went patrolling before as well. It’s the
first time the pack members lost control." Patricia said with a frown.
"It’s clear to everyone as to why they lost control over their behaviour, Patricia. We all know the reason, don’t we, Athena?"
Suzanne asked with a raised eyebrow while looking at Athena, "What are you guys trying to say? Can you guys be clear?"
Athena asked which almost sounded like a snap because they were getting on their nerves.
Suzanne and Patricia looked at each other, conveying something between themselves before looking back at Athena with
determination.
They looked as if they prepared themselves for the conversation while coming here.
"The pack needs their Luna, Athena." Suzanne said and Patricia immediately added after her.
"And that’s you.The pack needs you as much as they need our alpha."
Her tone was as stable as Suzanne’s.
"Why are you guys talking to me about this?" Athena asked with a frown while looking away.
She wasn’t ready to have this stressful conversation once again.
"You know why, Athena. When are you going to accept your responsibility as the Luna of the pack?" Suzanne asked in a serious
tone.
"I don’t know..."
She murmured while looking away with a deep frown even though the thought of it was giving her stress and headache.
"Athena, we don’t want to stress you or anything but you need to think about it at some point of your life. Then why not now?"
Patricia asked with a look of desperation.
"I don’t want to talk about it anymore. Let’s focus on what you guys are here for." Athena said in a serious tone.
Her tone was so cold that it was clear that she didn’t want to talk about it anymore.
"Okay."
They agreed with a sigh.
"Now tell me, what did you guys find?"
