Recall when Zoe said she was done with parties? Yeah well, she lied. I mean she was practically a teenager, she got invited to a new years eve party at Dora’s house. What would you do? Right. So it’s the 31st and she was in her room getting dressed! She had bought a new pair of really cool and comfy jeans and a nice crop top shirt for the night.

Luke was going to be at the party as well but they won’t be together which was weird for the first time.

They had always been to get-togethers and parties with each other. Except for that one night! You know when she met Alex! Sigh. Zoe felt like since they were going for a break now. She was kind of a free agent or whatever! Though it’s not like she was going to start hooking up with different dudes now, she was definitely not like that.

Zoe guesses it is like a trial period to see and remember what it feels like to be single again. Bella had texted that she wasn’t coming because Alex had asked to meet her somewhere so they could talk. Zoe wanted to have fun tonight! So she wasn’t going to think about what exactly they might be talking about.

Who wants to dissolve into tears on a new year’s eve? Probably not her, she did her makeup and hair, Zoe finished that and went downstairs to say goodbye to Lilian and her dad! “Oh, my baby, you look beautiful and amazing.” She said and pulled Zoe into a hug. “I don’t think beautiful is the word you should use mum! But thanks anyway.” Zoe replied, making Lilian shake her head.

“Honey you are beautiful, maybe you just have bad eyesight. that is definitely why you think so.” She mused, making Zoe smile. Zack came from the kitchen with his mum nodding his head. “Zoe, she is right! You look pretty and for the record! All my friends think you are hot.” Zack said.

“Okay, I’m pretty! whatever. Can I please go now?” She asked and pulled on her jacket, it was chilly out. “Yes, dear, you may go! Have fun and call if anything happens or you need something.” Mum said.

“I promise I will,” she said and left. Zoe had started driving her car since dad got her a brand new portable car, whenever it snows out she ends up driving like an old lady. So it took her a little bit to get to Dora’s house, but she made it there eventually.

Her house was all spruced up with festival decoration, light and coronet still everywhere but not quite as many as the party at Lisa’s. As Zoe walked into the pack house. She checked the driveway but couldn’t spot Luke’s car! Zoe was kind of thankful for that.

She didn’t want some awkward scene, “Hey Zoe, glad you made it!” Dora muttered at the door. “You know I wouldn’t want to miss out,” Zoe said, hugging her best friend tightly.

“There are drinks and other flavored cakes there, and I have three different TVs to watch the ball drop at midnight! Have fun Zoe because I and Parker have some unfinished business,” Dora said with a wink.

“Thanks, I need to use your restroom,” Zoe said and left for the restroom. She came back soon enough but Dora wasn’t standing there any longer.

Zoe walked around for a bit, and had some snacks! Chatted with friends, and stayed clear of her kind of punch. She danced a little and then checked the clock. it wasn’t quite midnight yet! She was through the crowd when she saw the back of Alex’s head.

She called out to him but the music was totally too loud. He was heading upstairs so she decided to follow him when she got upstairs. She lost track for a moment before walking down the hallway! He was in a den sitting on a couch watching new year’s new special.

She went in and closed the door behind me. “Hey Alex,” she said. “Zoe, hey, wow, what are you doing here?” He asked, surprised. “I mean Dora is my best friend and I was invited,” she said obviously.

“Uh oh, Dora invited you, I know she would but I mean what are you doing up here?” He asked.

He looked so good. Even better than his usual sexiness. That was really something. “I actually followed you,” she said, feeling ready to blush. He smiled. “Here, Come sit.” He said and patted the spot next to him. Zoe hesitated! It was such a tempting offer.

“It’s okay Zoe, I don’t bite! Yeah, actually I do. So I completely understand if you want to keep your distance.” Alex said with a devilish smirk. Zoe grinned a bit before sitting down close to him.

They were silent for a few minutes. “So where is Luke?” He asked. He was close enough for her to smell his scent. Whatever it scented, it was intoxicating and amazing.

“Oh, I’m sure he is with his friends or something,” she said. That scent was already clouding her thought, this boy was going to drive her crazy. “Huh, I figured since it’s a holiday you two would be attached at the lips.” He mused.

“Uhm, we are on break,” she said.

Why did his l*p ring have to jut out like that? Why can’t she stop looking at him? “A break?” He repeated. “Yeah,” she mumbled and glanced at him. “That’s that___Uhm, well hmmm.” He muttered and looked at the tv. He didn’t seem to know what to say, after a long moment he sat up a little straighter (a little closer) and spoke.

“Bella, earlier I___I broke up with Bella,” Alex said! Zoe thought her ear had stopped working. “What?” She asked way carefully. “It wasn’t working out, I never thought it would anyway. She was totally insistent on us going out so I had no choice but to give in.” He explained.

Zoe just couldn’t believe this, like a late festive present. “Was she okay?” It was the only thing Zoe could think of to say. He shrugged, one of his shoulders nudging Zoe’s. “She was a bit upset but I think she understood or at least, I hope she did.” He said, making her mind race.

Alex was single, and Luke and she were on break. Zoe doesn’t usually believe in fate, mate, soulmate, and other crap they come on but was this all that? Alex slid slightly closer if possible and slid his hand into hers.

“Is that okay?” He asked.

“Mmm, mmm,” Was all Zoe could manage to say. Her heart was flying.

“Zoe?” He whispered, staring into her eyes. Zoe was almost melting into his blue eyes, this creature was created so well.

“Yes,” she whispered back. “I__ Well, you look incredible,” Alex said. That was it. Zoe didn’t know whose lips met first but she didn’t care, the second their lips touched her mind went blissfully blank! All she wanted was Alex.

She had been wanting to k**s Alex for such a long time. Zoe figured that when she finally did she would be relieved but it was the total opposite! Right now, she wanted more of his k****s and more of his touches, enough wasn’t just enough.

“God you are amazing,” He said before going back to her lips. She wrapped her legs around his waist, she was feeling the evidence of what she was doing to him and felt a rush of pleasure. She was turning him on by the growing length of his trouser.
