Her Undeniable Temptation

”Bella wouldn’t let me tell! Hey, I’m sorry for not telling you.” Dora said, making Zoe think if she was the best friend she had known long ago. ”I kept thinking I was the worst friend for keeping this from you but it is out in the open now,” Dora said, she gave a face that showed she was truly sorry.

”Are you mad at me? Oh, please don’t be mad at me Zoe.” Dora muttered but Zoe strolled towards the parking lot feeling the anger burning a hole through her, she had felt bad for him for being alone! That jerk.

She had let him spend the celebration with her family. He should have just spent it with Bella and her family, then they could have had a wonderful little time together. Oh, when she sees Alex again… “Zoe, please talk to me,” Bella pleaded.

Zoe sucked in a deep breath! Through her clenched teeth, she glanced at the two people who had hidden things from her. Zoe could tell that her lack of speech was upsetting them, Not like she really cared right now. She turned to face Bella who now stood close to them without saying anything further.

”So, is he what? Your boyfriend now?” Zoe asked quietly while Bella nodded her head. “Okay, thank you guys for telling me the complete truth,” Zoe said, giving them the best fake smile she could manage. They looked very relieved even if she couldn’t stand being with them.

She would gladly put on the best show, sure! Bella had been dating Alex in secret and so what. Zoe couldn’t even be mad at her since she still told her the truth and she had told Zoe she liked Alex since the first time she saw him, Bella had never lied about anything.

She was the one who had always kept things inside but Alex on the other hand is the one who wanted to keep their relationship in the dark! He was a coward. She felt really used, Alex has used her. It was a stupid thing to feel but she couldn’t control those kinds of things she felt inside.

Once the period was over, they made their way back to the next class! She was glad to be free from both Bella and Dora. Even though she wasn’t technically mad at them. She just needed some space, how could she be with Alex? Ugh!

The day seemed to crawl forever. She wanted to get to practice to talk or well to unleash her fury on Alex. She just wished there was a way to not have Bella there. It’s going to look obvious that she had lied about saying she wasn’t mad if she inaugurated yelling at Alex right in front of Bella.

Dora had left early today saying she was in heat. It was just her and Bella going to the practice hall today. As they walked to the practice hall the Secretary’s voice came over the intercom. “Bella Larson to the office now!” The voice said.

Zoe looked at Bella who smacked her palm to her forehead. ”Oh, crap, I totally forgot about my eye appointment.” She said and Zoe couldn’t even believe her luck.

She turned to go but turned to face Zoe again. ”Are we okay?” Bella asked hesitantly. Zoe stared at her for a moment before answering, “yeah bell, we are definitely okay.” Zoe said.

Bella nodded with a smile and left while Zoe hurried to the dance practice. The dance instructor didn’t know the dance to teach them again since it was almost the end of the semester. So, he had been making them rehearse the former dancing step.

“He was such a lazy instructor!” Zoe said, shaking her head. She spotted Alex! He wasn’t rehearsing like everyone else, he was just watching.

She trudged toward him. Before she got there his lips turned down in a grimace and he gripped his chest slightly. Zoe’s step faltered momentarily. ”Alex?” She asked cautiously, making him jump.

He hadn’t seen her walk up to him. He turned and smiled, “Hey, Zoe.” He said. He sounded a bit breathless. “What’s wrong?” She demanded.

He raised an eyebrow. ”Nothing, why do you ask?” he asked and Zoe just didn’t answer. So, they just stood staring at each other.

Okay, if he was going to pretend like nothing happened so was she, Zoe crossed her arm across her chest and glanced at him keenly. ”So, Bella told me some interesting news earlier.” She started.

He didn’t say anything so Zoe took it as a sign to continue. ”Don’t you want to know what that interesting news is?” She asked but he shrugged. Zoe was getting more pissed by the second.

“Apparently, you have been dating my friend in secret,” she said quietly. She looked at his face waiting for him to deny it.

Probably, to say anything really but he didn’t. He just looked back at her with no emotions in his eyes. “Wow, you are not going to deny it,” she said, shaking her head in disappointment.

”How could you-” Zoe was going to say. “Okay, just stop right there,” He said, interrupting her. ”We are not definitely doing this. We are not going to do some big fight thing where you accuse me or yell at me, nope! Not going to happen.” Alex said, making her eyes widen.

”You have been lying to me. Having my best friend lie to me?” Zoe said. ”Yeah, it was stupid of me to hide it from you! I will admit. I have felt guilty but I know what will happen when I tell you.” Alex finally said.

”I’m really sorry if I kept this from you but I didn’t really want to hurt your feelings.” Alex continued after seeing how blank her reaction looked. Zoe bit her lips wanting very much to humiliate him as much as he had done to her but she sighed again.

”Look Zoe, you have every right to be mad at me. I’m an a*****e but I happen to like dating Bella! Don’t you want me to be happy? Both of us happy?” He asked his eyes searching hers. Zoe did want them to be happy but happy with other people! Sigh.

“Can I please be forgiven?” Alex asked innocently, he was making a ridiculous puppy face which of course happens to work with her. “Fine Alex, you are forgiven, but I’m still mad at you!” She huffed as she watched Alex smile. ”As long as I’m forgiven! I can deal with you being mad,” he said.

A week had passed, Zoe and Luke still hadn’t decided on the place they were going to do it. They both have been making plans and stuff. The where, the when, and the time.

Zoe wasn’t into planning as she would have probably been. She just kept thinking about the talk she had with her mum when she was much younger about how women need a yearly checkup. Ugh. Zoe has never been to a special women’s doctor.

It was bound to be embarrassing but she figured that if she went to the doctor and got all checked out, she could get some birth control. If she was going to have s*x soon, she wasn’t taking a risk.
