Her Undeniable Temptation

“Sure,” Bella gestured at the empty seat opposite Zoe for Lisa to seat. Zoe wondered if Bella didn’t know she and Lisa weren’t ever on good terms. Everyone knew that they were mortal enemies. Zoe knew that if Bella realized she wouldn’t have left Lisa to sit at this table.

Lisa sat down flipping her hair back to expose her chest. She had a necklace hanging in between her boobs. Yes, Zoe knew that Lisa was pretty for sure. Zoe promised to remove her braces off today and start applying some makeup today.

It was still silent on the table. Knowing that everyone was still watching her, Lisa picked an apple from her tray before she examined it. After a short while, she took a bite from the apple in an inappropriate way.

Was she trying out an xxx-rated movie? ”Mmh, this is good, you want some bite?” She asked Luke as she leaned forward so he got a good look at her cleavage. Zoe glared malevolently at Lisa but she smiled nonetheless still holding the stupid apple in her hand.

Zoe was about to jump on the damn table and squeeze her neck until she chokes for air and starts to beg for mercy but a hand clasped her shoulder and grabbed the apple from Lisa’s hand. ”You won’t mind if I take a bite, right?” A voice came, she turned to notice Alex rushing to eat the apple.

He chewed the apple for a bit before spitting it on his hand. “I guess this is contaminated,” He said, dropping the goey content on Lisa’s open palm. She shrieked and ran to the bathroom.

Dora, Bella, and Zoe burst out laughing so hard. Alex grabbed a napkin and wiped his hand frowning, “Super disgusting? I know, but I got the impression she was bothering you.” Alex said and smiled at Zoe who she replied with a grin.

”Uhmm, I don’t mean to be rude, but who are you?” Luke asked, looking between Zoe and Alex. ”We have dance practice together.” Alex shrugged like it was no big deal. “You must be Luke? The boyfriend Zoe is always mentioning, “I do shake your hand but it needs a good washing.” Alex said.

There was a kind of awkward silence. Out of the corner of Zoe’s eye, she could see Bella put her hair into place nervously. ”Hey, Alex.” She said nervously.

”Oh! Yeah, hi.” He said, giving her a small smile before turning back to me. Zoe got a pang of pleasure to talk to her but then she mentally kicked herself for it. Wasn’t she a kind best friend? Huh! ”I’m gonna get going, see you guys in practice.” Alex said while walking away.

Zoe tried not to watch him, but the jeans he was wearing. ”Really… He is kind of weird.” Luke said, watching Alex leave too. Zoe was instantly miffed, taking a sip from her juice. “Why do you think that?” She asked as casually as she could.

She didn’t want to get too defensive in front of Luke. Luke shrugged looking back at her. “I don’t know, just the way he looked at you. It was…” Luke did Another shrugged face.

“weird!” He mouthed.

”Oh,” was only what Zoe said.

He dropped the subject as they finished their lunch. After lunch, Dora, Bella, and Zoe walked to the practice hall. They were of course talking about Alex again.

Zoe was starting to think Bella was obsessed with him. which is very understandable, considering how gorgeous he is.”That was incredible how he dropped that into her slimy hand.” Bella was saying, making Zoe chuckle.

”Nathan was like my hero of the day. If he was a superhero, he would be known as Apple man! huh? Now for sure, I know he likes me back.” Bella said, erasing the smile from Zoe’s face.

”Why?” Zoe asked in a confused way.

”Because of the whole Apple incident,” She answered like it was obvious. Zoe stared at her still not catching apparently, she sighed before talking.

”Come on Zoe, you guys are my best friends! Alex knows that and he sees Lisa messing with you and comes to your aid,” She explained. ”He obviously knew helping you would make him look good in front of Bella,” Dora adds.

They continued their little analysis while Zoe thought this over again not trying to get pissed and angry, Zoe knew she couldn’t get mad at Bella.

Not like she knew about the k**s between her and Alex. Zoe felt like Dora Wasn’t seriously going to tell on her to Bella. Noticing that Bella has a thing for him pulsed Zoe off for some reason she doesn’t know.

Let’s get this straight.

So, of course! We all thought he was trying to impress Zoe but then a troubling thought came to her mind. What if Alex was sincerely impressing Bella instead of helping her as her friends claim?

That’s not alright because it would really suck. So, Zoe is just going to admit it. She had a crush on Alex! Damn, it’s not like she can help it though.

Who can choose who they really have a crush on even when you are already in a relationship. She thinks even in relationships crushes still happen. Unfortunately, it is partly her fault.

Zoe felt like she was the one who shouldn’t have gone to that party or agreed with Lisa to play such a stupid game. She was the person who should have kept their distance that day and she was the same person who became friends with him.

She felt a mess because she was the one who gets butterflies in her stomach anytime they make eye contact. Damn. And now her best friend has a gigantic crush on him too, Zoe sighed frustrated.

This was what she was thinking in Bella’s house on a Saturday afternoon. Every year a day before Halloween the dance crew gets to perform a dance, Dora and her were stuck in Bella’s house trying to prepare.

They were seated on her mum’s most decorated sofa and Bella’s laptop opened in front of them. They had papers and pens piled on each of their sides to write up any idea they came up with.

Bella skipped another site of Halloween as she g*****d, “Why do I have to get stuck with something this boring?” she asked staring at us.

”You are talented and creative, that’s why they picked you to help out,” Zoe said, trying to make her feel better. ”Yeah, I am so creative to have almost finished all the papers with my ideas,” She said smiling at me before glaring at Dora who was now sleeping.

She must be tired.

”Maybe everyone should go on rockstar?” Bella said. Zoe just smiled as she closed her laptop before stretching her arms. ”Because of me this Halloween this year would be a hit.” She yelled, making Dora wake up from sleep.

Zoe couldn’t help but laugh, Bella was so busy that she had no time to talk about Alex which Zoe was glad about. It felt good not hearing her obsess about Alex to her because it sucks to have a crush on the guy your best friend drools over.

Alex hasn’t talked to her for a while now. Zoe wondered If she did something to piss him off? The thought kept lingering on her mind as she packed her stuff she came with to Bella’s house so she could leave.
