Her Undeniable Temptation

Just like a blink of an eye. School on friday flew by rapidly. it felt like the supernaturals were gleaming in excitement for the basketball game, including the teachers aren’t left out. Tons of posters plastered all over the school walls for the gamers.

Since today Zoe barely saw Luke around, he must be preparing with his team. By the time she saw Luke! It was almost time for them to be in the locker room before the game started. He had given her a jacket with his name and number imprinted on it.

He had kept his hand on her waist as he dragged her close to his chest and she had wrapped her hands around his neck.

”You are coming for the after-party right?” Like asked staring at her eyes. Zoe rolled her eyes before answering. ”Of course Luke, I will always do.” she assured him.

He smiled before leaning down to k**s her lips softly and tenderly. Zoe knew that this was the time she wouldn’t mind kissing Luke forever but soon enough he pulled away.

”Do I have to go?” he asked playfully.

”Yes, you don’t want your coach to get mad at you.” Zoe said.

”Okay,” He said.

She removed her hands from his neck feeling outrageous and sad to stop kissing him.

He grinned making his attractive dimple stand out. ”Don’t worry Zoe we have all weekend to have fun and make- out!” Luke said before winking at her. Luke left with his team and Zoe went back home before the game would start.

She later went to the field to notice Dora and Bella already present. Dora was holding a board with the Imprint of “The red is the winning team, I love you, Parker.” While Bella stood all alone, It felt like Alex hasn’t shown up yet, or had he canceled at the last minute?

She looked nice wearing a crop top, a very short skirt, and heels to go with, Zoe shivered thinking of Alex touching her legs the same way he had touched hers at the last party. She shook her head to clear such a thought, this wasn’t the time to have such a thought. It was hard not to be jealous of Bella, she was very gorgeous.

She was tall, with long legs, and perfectly straight black hair. She rarely wears makeup, her face was naturally pretty so she doesn’t need any. Zoe could say one of her flaws is her confidence! Zoe knew Bella could have any boy in school if she wanted but she didn’t seem to realize this.

They turned to notice Zoe as they strolled towards her, ”A nice jacket you have on!” they commented. Dora turned her around to check the name on it. ”Why do you have Luke’s jacket on?” She asked.

”Well, because he is my boyfriend now!” Zoe said chewing on her bottom lips. ”What? You going out with you…” Zoe knew what she was going to say before chipping in.

”He isn’t my cousin, we aren’t related in any way.” Zoe explained. Bella stared at the way she looked before squealing. ”I didn’t find anything nice to wear, just this.” She said pointing at her clothes. Was she crazy? How could she say she couldn’t find anything nice?

If this weren’t nice, Zoe wondered what else was nice to her. ”Bella you look amazing, you seriously need to chill out.” Zoe said.

She looked relaxed as a smile plastered her pretty face after Zoe assured her. ”So, where is Alex anyway?” Zoe asked Bella. ”Right here.” His voice answered from behind them, they all turned to notice Alex in an all-black throughout.

Zoe would be lying to say he didn’t look good in black. It made his brown hair stand out in the sexiest way, she tried not to stare but damn black was totally his color.

Bella stood next to him smiling shyly. They look good together, maybe if Zoe wasn’t determined to prevent Alex from linking their secret. She wouldn’t have a problem with them having to date each other.

”So Alex, this is my Bestfriends, Dora and Zoe.” Bella said. Zoe hoped he could read the warning signs in her eyes! He did the half-smiling face as he stretched his hand to shake Dora before extending it to shake her.

Zoe let out a sigh of relief before shaking him. Dora and Bella turned to the court not noticing as Alex held her hand a little longer than a normal greeting handshake.

He let go of her hand the minute Bella turned back to them. ”We should probably head back to our bench space before the good spot is taken.” Bella said.

They got to their space and took their various seat as Dora sat beside Alex and Bella sat on the other side of Alex. The players entered the court as Luke waved at her which she returned the wave with a smile.

Finally, the game started as Bella chatted with Alex throughout the game. They didn’t really talk about much, just Bella talking about herself and Alex not giving much information about himself. It was almost time for the game to be over as Alex put his arms around Bella’s shoulder.

It wasn’t that cold. So Zoe wondered why he was trying to keep her warm, she felt really irritated. Zoe couldn’t even pay attention because of that damn arm around Bella’s shoulder.

Why was it around her? Zoe wondered why she even cared! She glanced sideways to notice Bella watching the game with a satisfied smile but Alex wasn’t.

He was looking over Bella’s head at Zoe. She quickly looked away grinding her teeth together as her claws grew. Zoe made sure not to look in their direction until the end of the game.

Dora gladly stood up as she raised her board to hail victory for Parker. The red had won while Zoe congratulated Luke with a k**s before he left to celebrate at the party with his team.

Truthfully he asked her to tag along but Zoe had made some excuse for not feeling too well. She figured It would be better to stay away from parties for a while. Alex walked both Bella and her to the parking lot as Dora left with Parker already.

They were almost at the parking lot when Bella shouted.

“Crap! I need to talk to somebody really quick,” She said running back inside leaving just Zoe and Alex. Zoe could tell he was staring at her as she crossed her arms over her chest and looked in the other direction.

He laughed silently. ”so are you just going to ignore me?” He asked.

”Come on Zoe, did I do something wrong? Was it because I had my arms around Bella?” He asked but she just glared at the ground keeping her mouth shut.

”Are you jealous or something?” He asked. She knew he was joking but that pissed her off. ”No, I’m not jealous. You are not even my boyfriend or someone I love, all that you are right now was a mistake and nothing else.” she blurted out.

Zoe was surprised to see how hurt he looked, she had to look away to avoid feeling guilty.

”I’m really sorry Zoe. If you want me to leave you alone I will but I want you to know that I wasn’t trying to make you mad.” Alex’s voice came making her feel guilty.

She felt bad instantly! She sighed as her gaze met his eyes. ”I’m sorry Alex! I shouldn’t have said that, I’m really just stressed out these days.” she apologized.

He shrugged with a half-smile on his face. ”It’s okay! I understand, hope we are still friends?” He asked and held out his hand out with a smile.

“Almost friends!” She replied taking his hand.
