Her Undeniable Temptation

“Wait, why don’t you use your powers? I mean all werewolves are gifted with special powers, what exactly is yours?” Alex asked but got no reply. “Okay! Back to you. You have a problem swinging around right?” Alex asked yet again.

He started doing some moves in the ballet which totally made Zoe shocked. ”I’m not a ballet kind of person, would you please just quit it already?” She said, staring at Alex. ”Hmm, Would you possibly want some help?” Alex offered, still committing to the ballet dance he was doing.

”Are you sure you helping me won’t bring an attack?” Zoe asked, being sarcastic. His lips twitched but he otherwise still ignored her. “Come on, I will show you what to do.” He said dragging her close to him, she could feel their heartbeats.

Zoe knew that she had already been embarrassed too much for today. She doesn’t think that her self-esteem could handle more shame but she couldn’t lose a grade point over this ballet. ”Don’t be afraid, I won’t let you fall again and I promise not to laugh If you fall on your butt again.” Alex said, seeming to read her mind.

She sighed and stood next to him.

”Okay grab my hands and stretch your hands and legs in front of me in a swinging position.” Alex ordered. ”That sounds dirty,” Zoe said. Alex laughed at what she had just said! She hit his arm fighting a smile.

”Back to the ballet, it is not as hard as you think, I guess you are just overthinking it.” Alex said. ”Use your feet to limp steadily then let your arm and body be in control, they should do most of the work.” Alex explained.

“After this, you should probably watch more ballet online,” Alex suggested.

Zoe did exactly what he ordered and she was doing great swinging around just fine but she was losing it as she swung toward Alex causing them to both falls on the floor with a heavy thud.

Zoe ignored the way her heart nearly jumped out of her chest, she immediately stood up remembering the fact that she had a boyfriend. Neither of them spoke, making everything look awkward. Zoe had to break the silence to prevent being uncomfortable.

”Where are you taking Bella to on your first date?” It felt weird that she had a problem saying the word date.

He looked away before answering her, ”I am not sure yet, it’s up to her really.” he said with a smile. Zoe wondered why it didn’t sound like a big deal to him. She held herself from trying to smile.

She was really feeling like a bad friend right now. ”Thanks for really helping, seriously it means a lot.” Zoe said.

”Then I guess that’s two things you owe me for presently,” he said with a half-smile on his face. Zoe stared at him, not having a clue of what to actually say.

The bell finally rang. ”See you later,” I said, parking her stuff and walking quickly to the door.

”Yeah, see you,” he said.

She turned and waved but he just smiled. Okay, maybe Alex wasn’t that bad after all.

Immediately after school, Zoe went home only to find her dad at home. She tried to sneak upstairs so he didn’t question her about her relationship with Luke but he already caught her. ”My little princess is back already.” Her dad’s voice echoed.

”Dad, I didn’t notice you would be back this early? Don’t you have work with the Alpha?” Zoe lied. ”You didn’t notice me or you have been avoiding me after you had a boyfriend?” her dad asked, making her guilty. ”Come on dad, why would I avoid you?” she asked, still feeling guilty.

”Because you have another man in your life now,” her dad said, acting like he was hurt which totally made her smile.

”Come sit beside me.” her dad said, patting the space beside him which she gladly took. ”You know dear, we wolves can’t stop the feeling a person has for another because we assume that it’s fate from the moon Goddess but we don’t actually believe in mates.” Her dad said, patting her head gently.

”If you love Luke! I can’t stop you, I mean from what I have seen he is a good boy, and I totally approve of him.” her dad said, making her blush silently but her phone rang cutting them off.

She took it out and it was from Dora and Bella. “Dad?” She said, “Go ahead.” He said as she picked the conference call. Bella’s voice speaking first was a bit irritating to Zoe.

”Hello guys? I need your help,” She sighed. ”With what?” Zoe and Dora’s voices said in unison. ”Do you know the guy, Alex?” She asked but Zoe waited, not liking the way this conversation was going.

”Well he asked me out to Friday’s game.” Bella’s voice announced with happiness. ” That’s very great Bella, I’m happy for you.” Zoe said, making some faces. Her dad, who had seen her reaction, laughed.

Zoe took an apple from the counter before throwing it at him which he caught and laughed harder. ”Are you still their guys?” Bella asked.

It felt like Dora had disconnected already. “oh jeez I’m left with Bella.” Zoe scoffed silently. ”I guess Dora has a bad network, so it’s just us Bella.” Zoe said.

”Thank God!” she said, “So, what if I say something stupid during the game? Wait! What if he doesn’t like me? I’m totally freaking out Zoe.” Bella said.

Zoe could tell that Bella was going to meltdown anytime soon, Zoe wasn’t even ready to give a pep talk but she was her friend and friends help each other out. ”Bella could you stop panicking, you are not dumb, You are an amazing person and Alex would be so dumb not to like a person like you,” Zoe said.

“And if it Doesn’t work out between you and Alex, some other guy would surely be there for you,” Zoe said, peeling a banana before taking a huge bite.

”I understand but what if Alex is the guy for me?” Bella asked. Zoe bit the bottom of her l*p to keep her away from saying something she would regret. ”I guess both of us have to wait and see right?” She asked Bella.

”Right,” Bella said.

”I’m going to bed darling,” Her dad said, perking her cheeks which made Zoe wince. ”Good night dad,” she said while holding the phone close to her chest.

She put the phone back to her ear, ”Try to calm down and not freak out Bella, See you tomorrow.” Zoe said.

”Later, Zoe!” Bella said as she hung up the phone. Zoe sighed deeply the minute the phone was off. “So Alex had picked a place for their first date?” Zoe whispered out, dropping the banana peel. She thought he had said it was left for Bella to pick.

She was going to be in that same game because Luke now plays and Dora is going to be there for Parker. Zoe just hopes Alex doesn’t try to link things out Because she was going to watch his every damn move.
