Chapter 89.

It was about that time of the year again. It was the second to the last month of the year and many fashion events were going on. One of the events which happened to be one of the biggest too was taking place and it was known "The fashion night". It was an annual event that was founded back in the 190s. It's aim was to bring different designers both top and upcoming together.

So on this year, the management of Versace had an agreement to involve both small and top models. They advertised on their instagram story to let models apply to perform in the event. Actually they usually picked the most sort models in the industry. They also made use of good looking celebrities but this year they decided to give the models who were doing well a chance. they asked that model applied with their instagram handles where their work was going to be checked. Diana saw this and was sure going to give it a trial. It's no new news that she was one if the top models but she hadn't gotten to the level of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid who were the kind of models "The fashion night" would usually go for. she believed so much in herself and she was grateful in advance for the bigger celebrities she was going to meet.

But as a model under an Agency Diana decided to call her Boss first to let her know her next line of action even if she knew for sure that her Boss was going to be supportive. Walking from the kitchen when she went to get a slice of cake to the living room, Diana placed a call to Mrs Smith.

"Hello Ma" Diana greeted.

"Hello Diana, how are you doing my dear" I'm doing just great Ma" Diana responded.

"and yourself? " the young lady enquired sweetly.

"I'm great my darling " Mrs Smith replied kindly. Their relationship had grown from a formal one to an informal one.

"Good to hear Ma"

"Hope your family is fine too?" Diana enquired as she now sat on the hand of her sofa.

"Oh yeah, they are, all glory to God" Mrs Smith said while admiring her family picture that was hung by her bed. She couldn't help but give God thanks in her heart.

"Alright MA, I called you to let you know that I was going to apply to walk for Versace on "The fashion nitght" which would be taking place in some weeks to come " Diana spilled her reason for calling.

"Oh dear, I was going to let you know about it too, it's s once in a life time opportunity " Mrs Smith added.

"Acknowledging the fact that they used the biggest models in the world, this would be a big win for us as you'll get to meet big people" Mrs Smith added.

"Yeah I thought about that also" Diana smiled as she was expecting such sweetness from her Boss.

"So you should apply today, I'm sure you've seen the instructions on how to apply on their page" Mrs Smith enquired.

"Sure I have, it's through their email and I have to drop my Instagram handle alongside" Diana answered.

"Yeah, that's it, so you'll apply today because we don't have all the time, alright?" Mrs Smith told her.

"oh yeah, that's the spirit dear" Diana's Boss giggled too.

"Okay, I'll let you be now, so you can go ahead and do your thing" Mrs Smith informed.

"And don't forget to pray afterwards when you do so" She advised.

"Thank you so much Ma, I appreciate your kindness " Diana told her boss as she twirled her hair.

"Oh that's nothing darling, anytime darling".

"Do take care of yourself alright" Mrs Smith rounded up the call as she had stuffs to do.

"Yes Ma, take care of yourself too" Diana replied as she hung the phone.

She quickly tendered her application as soon as the call ended and then she went to the bathroom to do her facial routine. She had been inconsistent with it recently. Though she effortlessly had a glowing skin. Diana prayed that she would be selected for the show because runway was not her specialty but nonetheless she was a bad struter.

After two days Diana received an email from Versace revealing that she was going to walk the run way in one of their latest designs. Diana was so glad, she couldn't contain her joy. She called her Boss to share the good news with her. "I knew you were going to make it dear" Mrs Smith smiled over the phone.

"Yes Ma, I thought so too but at some point I became skeptical " Diana confessed.

"Well you mad it now and that's all that matters " Mrs Smith rejoiced with her.

"So you have to practice more on your poise and strutting, I know you are good to go but we can't afford to take chances.

"Sure Ma, I'll do just that" Diana agreed.

"Alright my dear, wish you the best" Mrs Smith said.

"Thank you so much and bye" Diana hung the phone.

Diana was relentless in her preparations. From her skin care routine to her catwalk to her poise, She made sure to work on them all. She got all the essential materials to make her game bad and she wouldn't have been more prepared for the show.
