Her Redemption

Chapter 14.

Diana had finished jogging for the morning so she walked home with music plugged to her ears. As she entered the yard she bumped into Liam. "Oh no, why can't he stay off my lane" she thought. "Nice sport wear you've got " Liam complimented.

"Oh Thanks" She replied

"You see, I never knew you did early morning exercises" Liam tried to start a conversation.

"I would've loved to join you" He added.

"Naah I love to exercise by myself" she stated bluntly and made for her room.

Liam was confused. Why did every conversation he tried to start with her prove futile. He did not expect her to remain rigid till this day, he had spent almost a month in the apartment.

Why would a human's heart be that hardened? All these questions flew through his mind as he got no answer. He told himself he wasn't going to give up as long as he was here (in her property). Diana while doing the laundry received a Call. It was from her agency.

"Hello Miss Diana"

"Hello" Diana greeted cheerfully

"You just got a contract from a new brand that's about to launch. "It was Mrs Smith speaking.

"They deal with wines and other kind of drinks" Mrs Smith added.

The contract is worth two hundred thousand dollars, it's a two year contract and you can renew it if you wish"

"Plus you would be supplied drinks monthly" Her boss explained.

"Oh myyyyyyy" Diana screamed in excitement. In all her life she had never gotten so much from modelling.

"Congrats Diana Wilson" Mrs Smith congratulated her.

"Thank you Ma, I'm so excited.

"So I'll forward the date to you when we will go to sign the papers."

"Because by next month you are expected to do a video/photo shoot for advertisement " Mrs Smith informed her.

"Alright Ma, Thank you very much"

"Bye and take care of yourself" Mrs Smith said

"Bye Ma" Diana replied excitedly.

She put on some Music and began to vibe. She brought a bottle of champagne too and began drinking. She wasn't expecting this much victory in less than no time. At least she would establish herself financially with the money and maybe minimize the way she slept with Men.

She went with her boss to " Grandeur" That was the name of the brand she was going to work with. It was located in Los Angeles too. They got there on time and was enlightened once more about the contract after which they were given papers of agreement to sign.

A date was given for the shoot so they could prepare for the day.

The day for the shoot came and Diana gave it her all. She made it easy for the photographer and director.

No doubt she was gorgeous but then she was extra flexible. The videos and pictures came out nice. So advertisement started almost immediately. Diana was on the billboards all over Los Angeles and across the City too.

Her video commercial was on the most popular TV stations in America. Diana was Super blown. Her friends from all over America called her to Congratulate her. Her Sisters and Mum too were so happy for her, they held a video Call to Congratulate her.

Fred on the other hand saw everything that was going on. He decided to Confront her immediately. He drove in with his bike noisily and Called her out.

"Diana, So you started sleeping with Men to get recognition?"

"Huh?"

"Tell me, who did you sleep with? " Fred barked.

And Diana could not help but laugh, she was enjoying the Scene.

"It's funny right?"

"The both of you are out of your senses" Fred climbed his bike and stormed out.

Diana shook her head in disgust and contempt. Even if she wanted a Man in her life she wasn't going to settle for a Maniac like Fred.

"Congratulations Diana Wilson, you must be very proud of yourself." Liam smiled.

"Oh yeah, Thank you" She smiled back but wore a serious face almost immediately.

"We should go out for some drinks dont you think?" Liam Suggested, hoping that she'll give him a chance but no, she turned him down. "Thanks, but I've got work to do" she walked away.
