Her King

I accept you as mine.

Her words ring in my ear and my heart nearly burst from happiness. This feeling is something that I have never experienced in my entire life nor I can give words to my feelings.

I just feel like I have conquered the whole world... like I don’t need anything else in my life as all my desires... all my wishes have been fulfilled with these words.

“Well, if you plan to keep on staring at me like this, then at least let me sit and be comfortable.” She raises her eyebrows playfully, “Because it seems like it will take a long time for you to come out of your shock. And I don’t think I can’t stand here till eternity as I am not the one with inhuman powers.” She lightly laughs while my eyes close absorbing the beautiful sound of her laugh.

Beautiful.

My beast hums in agreement.

“Regina...” I whisper her name and hold her in my arms letting me savor the best moment of my existence.

She rests her head on my chest and places her hand over my heart. She always does this and if there is any coldness in my heart it just disappears in that same moment, as my heart fills with only warmth and love.

“Regina... my Queen.” I kiss her hair while breathing in her sweet smell.

I don’t think breathing normal air will ever be the same when I know how it feels to fill my soul with her intoxicating scent.

I just want to stay here like this, but I know for now it is not possible as I have to take her home.

“Regina, love, pack all the necessary stuff that you will need.” Cupping her face in my hands I nod my head at her, “You are not safe here, I have to take you back home.”

“The people after you are our enemies, they are the same people who had hurt Felix that day. And now they are after you as they somehow managed to figure that you are my soul which means they will try to get back at me by hurting you.”

“Soul?” She looks slightly confused, I guess my beast has not explained her everything and thankfully left something for me to share with her.

“I will tell you everything, but for now we have to hurry.” Giving her a smile, I press my lips on her forehead. “Because your home and your family is waiting for you.”

The moment I stopped my car in front of the house, worry radiating from Felix hits me with full force as well as Theo’s agitation.

It is not the right time for Regina to met them like this, but it is not like I have many options. Bracing myself to whatever is about to happen, I open my door and step outside as Regina follows my actions.

There is a sense of worry on her face as her eyes are fixed at the house. Before I can warn her she reaches the front door, taking quick strides, and opens the door wide enough for both us to walk inside.

Instantly, I am by her side as we enter the house only to find Theo trying to control himself as blood his dripping from his wound because his features keep on shifting. Felix is standing in the corner helplessly as we both know when Theo lost his control it is the best to stay away from him.

“Theo.” Regina gasps loudly making him lift his face to her. She steps towards him but halts when a bone-chilling snarl comes from his lips.

“Stay the fuck away from me.” He sneers, looking extremely dangerous as he glares at her.

“Watch your tongue, brother.” I glare at him as I stand in front of Regina even Felix is by her side snarling at Theo for disrespecting Regina.

Covering his face with his hands he shakes his head as blood drips from between his fingers. Then with the lightening speed, he goes inside the room as we hear loud crashing sounds as he breaks the things trying to control his beast.

“He is hurting.” Regina’s calm voice comes from beside me as she watches in the direction where Theo has gone.

“His beast is not stable, every time he changes he relives his pain. The pain of not being able to save our mother. ” I place a hand on her shoulder as even I look at the room from which agonizing screams of my brother are coming, “Not only his wound but even his heart bleeds with pain.”

“Help him.” She looks at me with pleading eyes, “He is hurting too much.” She places her hand on her heart as if she is experiencing his pain.

“He needs us.” She whispers, closing her eyes, as another crash is heard.

“I know, but we can’t do anything.” I sadly shake my head, because this is not the first time we are seeing him like this, “His beast is out of control and can cause us harm, which will in return hurt him more. So it is better that we should let him be alone and allow him to calm down.”

She snaps her eyes open and gazes at me in disbelieve.

I hold her arm to stop her when she takes a step towards the room. Because she doesn’t understand, his beast is dangerous. Theo doesn’t have control over his beast, he has numerous times warn us not to be near him when his beast is out as he might unintentionally hurt us.

“I am not going to stand here and watch him suffer like this.” She stares at me, “I am going to help him.” There is an unknown determination behind her words like a silent resolve.

“You are not going in there.” I shake my head sternly at her.

Turning her head to me she gives me a challenging look, while her lips twist into a smirk.

“Watch me.”
