(Book 5)- Chapter 48
Trinity
What kind of shenanigans are going on around here?!
My body was being used as a s****l plaything! I wasn’t doing anything. My body had a mind of its own, and now my mates had me tied to the bed, hitting with one of those riding crops. All this was playing out like a movie, and I was the spectator! Watching my body turn red with tiny whelps.
Yeah, it was kinda hot.
Eva m****d out earlier, and Thaddeus swiftly swatted her lady parts, wait, MY lady parts, and I felt it all the way into my dream. It made me shutter in ways they shouldn’t have!
It was so naughty.
I got a horny wolf, a secretive, horny wolf. She was going to get it when she got back inside my head. There had to be a heck of a good reason she was out there while I was stuck in here. I folded my arms, stomping my foot into the ground. I’m guessing it was the ground; I’m stuck in La La Land or purgatory. I have now just named it, The Land of the Desolate keeper for the wondering Souls of Selene.
I’m so dramatic.
As they all finished, literally, Eva’s eyes began to droop, only for me to hear Thaddeus. His voice had changed from Damian to Thaddeus, thank goodness, and maybe get some sense back into these boys. “We wait for Trinity to be here so she can mark us,” he demanded Eva. Eva’s head sunk lower into his chest while he brushed her hair with his fingers.
I’m guessing Theon did the back end because now his face was nuzzled into the back of my neck. Go, little rock star.
Standing in the foggy meadow, Eva comes prancing out of the shadows. Her head was low to the ground, a whimpering mess. “Did you have fun?” I seethed. “You knew what you were doing all along, weren’t you? You had our mates meeting me in my head, so I wouldn’t watch what you are doing!” I punched the soil below me, not wanting to hurt my wolf physically. It may not even be possible to hurt her, but I needed a release and answers!
“I’m sorry,” she whined again.
“The hell to the NO, you are not sorry for what you did. You are sorry you got caught!” Eva chuckled while walking around me.
“You’re right; I’m not sorry. They had some hot moves. I wonder how they know such things?”
“Porn, they watched a lot of porn. Now listen, you can’t do this anymore. We are a team, right? Our mates talk to their wolves; they understand each other. I’m sure you have been cooped up in some spirit realm for a long time and needed a release, but know this,” I growled. “If you ever take over my body without permission, I’ll kick your a*s. Wolf or not, I’ve still got elven b***d in me!” I crossed my arms over my chest. Eva was looking highly shocked.
“Do you guys get trained up there? Respecting one another? Finding a balance? Because what you did was terrible.” I poked Eva in her furry chest.
Eva nodded her head slowly. “Yes, we are to respect the person we are bonded with,” Eva rolled her eyes. “Look, I know that I messed up, okay? I was supposed to wait a few days before I showed myself, but dang girl, you have been through the wringer, and I just wanted to show you some support. You’ve taken everything so well; I just wanted to be there for you. Sure, my l**t got in the way, but can you blame me? Our mates are hot!” I tried to hold back a smile, but it began to falter as I bit my l*p to hold in the laughter.
“I’m able to look through your memories, and you are strong physically and mentally; I didn’t think it was a big deal…,” Eva wined like a puppy, lowering herself onto the ground with her paws over her eyes. “Please forgive me; I won’t do it again. Not unless you say I can. Pleeease?”
Damn, why does she have to be so cute? Her fire-red fur almost makes her look like an overgrown fox, minus the white markings. A few dark spots on her paws and a masked face made her look like a bit of a thief. No doubt the goddess picked her for me; she was going to be a handful. Then again, I liked a challenge.
Kneeling down, petting her head, her little watery eyes looked back at me. “Listen, I know you wanted to have some fun, and you will get it into the future, I promise. What you Damian and Duke did was out of my comfort zone, and I hope that Theon and Thaddeus understand that too.” I tickled underneath her chin.
“Don’t worry, they know. Thaddeus and Theon are also mad at their wolves; they are arguing now,” Eva snickered.
“That’s crazy. You can listen to our mates like that. Is there a way I can listen?” Eva shook her head. “No, not really. I can hear the wolves, and you can listen to the human part. If they want to talk to you, they can will themselves, but that won’t be possible until you mark Thaddeus and Theon.
My face paled. Do I have to mark them? “What? How do I do that?” I asked, flustered.
“Easy, bang them both at the same time and bite the s**t out of them! Not that hard.” I touched my two marks, one on each shoulder.
“Easier said than done, what if I bite too hard? I don’t want to hurt them.” Eva gave a huff of laughter; at least, I hope it was laughter.
“Seriously? That is the most erotic thing you can do to a wolf, the nibbles, the play bites, and the marking bites!” Eva howled, “It’s amazing! If you really want to rile them up, you should let them chase you. Holy cow, you need to do that. Wolves love the hunt, and then BAM, you get done on the forest floor.” Eva howls again.
Who is this wolf?
Shaking my head, I stood up, looking around the meadow. As short as the conversation was with Eva, it was a cultural difference we were dealing with here. Wolves did things differently, but that doesn’t mean I will let anyone walk all over me. I call the shots, not some wolf that just entered my body. At least we had talked things out, for now. I’m sure many other difficulties will come up later. However, I really wanted to go home. I didn’t want to be stuck in this purgatory anymore. Eva, sensing my stress, licked my hand and nodded her head to follow her. As I walked behind her, we walked out of the meadow. The low-lying fog covered the crunching of the leaves, giving it a somber feeling.
“This is where every wolf goes when we are not out fighting or running with our humans. It’s beautiful, tranquil, and a place of rest. We can see what you see and experience those same feelings no matter where we are. We can talk to you, give you encouragement, and yes, sometimes we come forth when you don’t want us to.”
“Like Thaddeus did when he half shifted?”
“Exactly. If a wolf of our own is in trouble, especially a mate, it is the wolf’s drive to protect the pack or their mate. I would never forcefully come out of you unless that happened. You would want it to happy anyway if you had a mate in danger.”
We continued to walk until there was a small clearing. Sticks were pushed away, and a large blanket with pillows was covered at the base of the tree. “Couldn’t let you sleep on the ground, could I?” Eva’s maw came up into a smile. “Come sit with me, Trinity.” Eva’s playful voice became a motherly tone in an instant. No more of the sassy wolf I first encountered. Laying on the blanket, my face met hers.
“You are strong, Trinity. You have been strong for a long time, but now we rely on each other. Our mates, our parents, they are here to help. You will never have to be alone again, and you will never get caught by that terrible man.” I sniffed and rubbed a bit of tears, trying to escape. “I could tell this to you a million times, and you won’t believe me, but we all love you. Selene loves you too, and you have been welcomed into a powerful royal family. Peace will come, and you and your mates will have you happily ever after.” I heaved a heavy sob. I just wanted to go back. I was done sleeping here.
Since living on my own for just one year changed me that much? Then again, I did live in fear when I was younger. I always stayed out of my ‘step fathers’ way and listened to every commanding word he said. I wasn’t completely messed up, was I?
“You think too much,’ Eva complained. “Look at the future; the past is gone. Time to make a new life for ourselves. After we rip off every single one of those mafia pieces of shit.”
“You know,” I took my hand and petted the black mask between her eyes. “For a horny wolf, you give great advice.” Eva’s chest puffed out.
“You think so?” Giggling, I laid my arm on the ground, resting my head against it.
“I know so. And we will have our time to kick some a*s too.”
“Thank the goddess!” She yelled exasperatedly.
Eva curled up around my body, my eyes becoming too heavy for me to force them open any longer. I fell into a short sleep, when I mean short, it was insanely quick because when I opened my eyes again, my face was buried in a hard chest. The slow, heavy breathing tried to lull me back to sleep, but I shook it away, wanting to know who I was sleeping with.
Then I smelled it; it was the old whisky that had surrounded me. Large yawns blew through my hair, and Theon pulled me to his chest tighter. “Theon?” I whispered right above his heart. Theon’s body stiffened; holding me close, he looked down. His electric blue eyes were now a steel blue, not as vibrant as before.
“Theon, what’s wrong?” Being pulled into his mighty chest, he kissed my forehead repeatedly. “Well, nice to see you too!” I laughed.
“Gods, we thought you were so mad you wouldn’t wake up. We were so worried.”
“Huh? Why wouldn’t I?” Theon ran his hand through his messy hair. Thaddeus just woke up, pulling me by my h**s making me the little spoon. “Trinity,” he whispered, kissing my ear.
“What is going on? Why are you acting like that?” I asked, concerned.
“We f****d up, we let our wolves take over,” Theon sat up in bed; his hand never left my body, that I may disappear forever.
“All of our wolves went to got a little rough, not just you guys. I’m pretty sure Eva started it all too. She’s been reprimanded, and it won’t happen again except under dire circumstances.”
“So you aren’t mad?” Thaddeus whined. “No, Bambi,” I cooed. ” I’m not mad at you or Theon. A little upset about the wolves, but that is what being part animal is about, right? Trying to control your animal’s desires? I have to say this is going to be tough.”
I was pulled into a giant bear hug, rocking me back and forth while someone started tickling me. “Oh! Gods stop!” I screamed, but the tickling got worse until we heard a knock on the door.
“We need locks,” I whispered to Thaddeus, and he started laughing.
“Our parents said the same thing; now all the castle doors have some sort of lock on them,” Theon interlaced our fingers together.
“I don’t know if I needed to hear that,” I joked.
“We will get some locks once we head back home,” Thaddeus responded after a few rounds of laughter. “Then no one will disturb anything that we do.” Thaddeus nibbled my ear, pulling it lightly.
Home, he speaks of a home so much; I hope my mom decides to follow us and go to a new world. A home with new people, new adventures. Away from my stepfather, away from old memories. My mom and I could start over; she could build a new family with her mate and actually be happy. All those years she suffered trying to keep me safe, she deserved it. She deserved so much more.
A smile crept on my lips, thinking of the future, only for it to sadden when Alpha Big Paw came into our room with a frown.
“Sorry to bother,” Alpha Big Paw spoke. “But we have a problem.”
