Hello, Mr. Brent

Chapter 314

As soon as Emily heard the words "break up,” she said, "No, don't do that. Couples will quarrel. That's quite normal. Isn't it hasty to break up just because you quarreled? You're just in a bad mood now. You see, no matter how badly Franklin treats me, I don't want to break up with him. Not at all."

"Hmph, that's because he's Mr. Brent. If Jason were like Mr. Brent, I won't want to break up with him." Lisa snorted.

Emily was afraid that she would really break up with Jason when seeing Lisa's expression. She thought they were a perfect match and didn't hope they break up.

"We're all in a bad mood now. Why don't we go out for a drink? Didn't people say drinks make them happy? If a man will get out to drink when he's unhappy, why can't a woman?" Emily suggested.

Lisa looked at her in surprise and said after a while, "Indeed women can get out for fun too. I used to get out for fun when I was unhappy. Haven't you done that before?”

She hadn't.

She used to be a good girl, and she didn't have much money. She had never been to bars or other entertainment places. Then she fell in love with Lucas and married Franklin and had a baby. So she had no chance at all.

Even though she drank a lot to please her clients, she drunk at the restaurants. She had never been to a bar before.

"Really?" Lisa exclaimed when seeing her expression.

Emily muttered, "It's not a big deal. There are many people who haven't been to a bar like me. It's not rare.”

"Well, it's indeed rare in the 21st century,” Lisa shook her head and said, "You've really taught me a lot.”

"Lisa, I won't talk to you if you keep saying that." Emily's face turned red from her teasing words and she immediately glared at her.

Lisa smiled and said, "Okay, okay, don't be angry. I'll take you to the bar today. Let's drink together.”

"Really?" Emily's eyes lit up.

Lisa said, "Of course. I won't lie to you. Let's go! We're both in a bad mood anyway. We can talk while drinking.”

Emily nodded constantly. She had always been depressed for the past few years. When she was taking care of the child alone, she was helpless.

Now her child was no longer a little baby and had been away from her for, and she found that he was living a good life after leaving her. And Franklin was taking care of him, so she was relieved. She just wanted to find a place to relax now.

Lisa drove Emily out to a famous bar in the city.

But the bar was not open yet. Lisa parked the car and said to Emily, "Let's go eat something first, or we'll have a stomachache when we drink at night. When I was young, I can drink as much as I want. But now I'm afraid I'll vomit and hurt myself if I don't eat something first." "Okay, I didn't eat either.” Emily nodded.

Lisa took her to a nearby restaurant. They ordered some special dishes and chatted as they ate.

They talked about Lisa and Jason. Emily did not expect Jason to be so stubborn since he looked very gentle. And she insisted that Lisa had deliberately lied to Jason about Matthew's matter and hurt him. And that was why Cheng didn't even answer her calls.

And Emily also told Lisa about what Daniel wanted her to do. But she didn't dare to tell her the whole story but just the key points.

After that, she said to Lisa, "Tell me, isn't Franklin very petty? Daniel's my brother, and I just agreed to help him for once. I'm not flirting with him. But Franklin had been angry. He ignored me on the way back." Lisa nodded sincerely, "It's true. Men are petty.”

"Yes, you're absolutely right. Men are petty.” Emily nodded in agreement.

After dinner, they had afternoon tea. It was evening and the bar was crowded.

Lisa took Emily in and found a quiet table from where could see the whole bar.

Emily looked around and found that the bar was totally different from what she had imagined. It was not as lascivious as she had thought. Instead, it was very luxurious, with an elite aura of upper-class society. "Is this really a bar?" Emily asked in surprise.

Lisa smiled, "You must have been fooled by novels and tv dramas. Bars are like this. They are not lascivious at all. This is the best bar here. The owner is Matthew's cousin and Matthew had brought me here once. I thought it is nice, so I brought you here. I don't dare to take you to indecent places, or Mr. Brent will kill me if he finds out.”

"So you're quite special to Matthew.” Emily said with a meaningful look. Lisa said, "Don't talk nonsense. I've only been here once with him, and I was here to find you. We did nothing. If Jason hears this, he'll be jealous.”

"Since you care so much about Jason, then you should explain to him." Emily smiled.

Lisa ignored her and waved at a waiter and ordered two glasses of cocktails.

Emily saw that the waiter quickly came over with two glasses, but the drink was not wine nor spirit. They were colorful, attractive, and fragrant.

Emily asked doubtfully, “Is it juice?"

"Of course not. It's a cocktail specially made for women. It smells like juice but actually it's quite strong. Don't drink too much.” Lisa tasted it slowly and explained to her.

Emily also took a sip and found it delicious. She couldn't help but gulped it down.

Lisa was shocked to see her empty glass and said immediately, "Drink slowly. You'll get drunk later.”

"Why will I get drunk? It's not alcohol at all. It's juice.” Emily smiled. Lisa didn't know how to explain it to her. Emily wanted more but Lisa didn't dare to let her drink more. Even she could only taste it slowly and didn't dare to drink more. Otherwise, she would definitely get drunk. So she stopped Emily from drinking more.

However, Emily was not willing to listen to her. She was in high spirits and insisted on asking the waiter to bring her another glass.

At this moment, a man suddenly came over with two cocktails in his hands. He smiled and said, "Two beautiful ladies, do I have the honor to treat you to a drink?"
