Hello, Mr. Brent

Chapter 313

The first time Lisa saw Bryce, she liked this cute boy.

When Bryce woke up, he saw Lisa and rubbed his eyes. Then he blinked his big eyes and asked, "Who are you?"

Lisa felt that this little boy completely melted her heart. As a thirty- year-old woman, she had never had the idea of getting married and having a child. But at this moment, the idea rose to her mind and she wanted a baby who was as cute and adorable as Bryce.

"I'm your father's assistant. My name is Lisa. You can call me Aunt Lisa.” Lisa's voice was so gentle.

"Lisa? Does it mean “God's promise'?" Bryce asked.

Lisa smiled and pinched his creamy cheek gently. "Yes. What a smart baby you are!”

"Auntie Lisa." Bryce immediately said happily.

Lisa looked at him. Bryce is so cute and pretty.

"Sweetheart, how are you feeling now? Do you still feel uncomfortable? Do you want water or something to eat?" Lisa had no choice but to give in.

But she didn't forget why she was here. She touched Bryce's forehead and felt that his fever was gone. Besides, he wasn't coughing when he had just woken up, so she thought that he had recovered.

Sure enough, Bryce shook his head and said, "I don't feel bad. I want water and food."

"That's great.” Lisa immediately asked someone to bring water and food.

Since he wanted to eat and drink, he would be fine. Children could recover quickly.

After drinking and eating, Bryce became energetic again. He leaped out of bed and began to touch and look at all kinds of things. Children were always full of curiosity when they were in new places.

But after running around for a while, he sighed and said, "This place is not so large as my father's house."

"Isn't this your father's house? Have you ever been to any other houses belonging to your father?" Lisa asked with amusement.

Bryce waved at her. Lisa walked over and squatted down.

Bryce whispered in her ear. "Not this father, but the father before. He treated me very well and bought me a lot of toys.”

Lisa's lips twitched, and she quickly said to him in a low voice, "Don't say these words to your father now, or he will be angry.”

"I know. Adults are petty.” Bryce said as if he had known a lot and giggled with his mouth covered.

Lisa was amused again by how cute he looked. She reached out to pinch his cheek, and her desire to have a child came back to her in an instant.

But before she could hug Bryce, Franklin and Emily came back.

As soon as they came back, Bryce, who had been having fun in Lisa's arms just now, ran up to Emily and held her thigh.

"Mom, mom, you're back. I miss you so much.” Bryce said in a soft, sweet voice which made us all laugh.

Emily squatted down and picked him up. She kissed on his little face and said, "Baby, mommy misses you too! You don't even know how much mommy misses you."

"Mom, my good mom." Bryce rubbed against her face lovingly. However, before he could do anything else, Franklin took him.

"Baby, you miss mommy. Don't you miss daddy?" Franklin asked. Bryce looked at him and blinked. Although the little guy didn't say anything, his expression revealed everything, which said, "I have only known you for a few days. Why would I miss you?"

Franklin was heartbroken, but he didn't show it. He immediately carried him upstairs and said, "Daddy knows you miss daddy too. Daddy will take you upstairs to watch cartoons, okay? Daddy will spend more time with you and never leave you again."

"But I want mommy,” Bryce said.

Franklin's face turned livid and he said coldly, "Why do you want her? She is planning to sell you."

"Franklin, don't talk nonsense. I'm not." Emily immediately retorted. Franklin glanced at her coldly and said, "Didn't you promise Daniel?" Emily was frustrated to hear him bringing this up.

She pouted and said, "I did agree, but I didn't sell my son. I just lent him."

"Humph." Franklin turned around, aloof, and carried Bryce upstairs.

Lisa was dumbfounded.

It was understandable. She had been working for Franklin for many years, but she had never seen Franklin like this. He looked just like an ordinary man, not even half as arrogant as he used to be.

"What the hell did you do to Mr. Brent? Why is he like this?" Lisa approached Emily and asked.

Emily sighed. She was upset. Ever since she got in the car and told Franklin why Daniel wanted her help, Franklin had treated her this way. In short, he didn't allow her to pretend to be someone else's girlfriend or be the bride at a fake wedding. If she insisted on doing those, he would leave with his son and let her do whatever she wanted.

"You quarreled with Mr. Brent again?” Lisa guessed after seeing the look on her face.

Emily said, "What do you mean “again’? You sound like we quarrel a lot."

"Yes, you do quarrel a lot. To be exact, you often make trouble for no reason!"

"Lisa." Emily stomped her feet angrily.

Lisa said quickly, "Okay, okay, okay. I shouldn't have said that. Not only are you unreasonable, but so is Mr. Brent. After all, it takes two to make a quarrel. But why did you quarrel this time? Look how happy you two are. The child is back. He is so cute. I even want to have a child."

"You can have a child if you want. You and Jason are both good- looking. You child would be cute and good-looking too.” Emily said. When Lisa heard Jason's name, she immediately snorted while rolling her eyes, and said, "I don't want to have a baby with him!"

"Haven't you made up yet?" Emily quickly asked.

Lisa pursed her lips and sighed after a while. "When a man is angry, he's more difficult to deal with than a woman. Sweet words would work for women, but not for men. This whole thing is driving me crazy. I don't know what to do now. Humph, or we just break up, no big deal."
