Chapter 780
Chapter 780
Yolanda’s blood was boiling. Yet, she looked determined. “Rest assured, Mr. Judson, it will go through this time,” she said, “I’ll
finish it soon and send it over to the Tim Group tonight.”
Judson nodded and left.
A bunch of onlookers were still hanging around at the door.
Yolanda, having suffered in silence needed an outlet for her frustration. “Agnes, get out,” she said, “Did you hear what Mr.
Judson just said? Get back to
your work.”
Agnes responded with a smirk, “Don’t worry, Director Yolanda. I’ll do my best.” With that, Agnes left.
The crowd at the door nearly erupted into cheers. As Agnes passed by, they gave her high fives, celebrating some sort of victory.
Yolanda, furious, hurled her coffee mug at the floor. But for the moment, she had no energy to deal with Agnes.
Her promotion video to the Tim Group had been continually rejected, and she was running out of face to save. Mr. Judson’s
patience was also wearing thin.
All the boss saw was the Tim Group’s thirty million dollar funding, including the head of the station. If she failed to secure that,
her job would be on the line.
But Yolanda started to have her suspicions. She wondered if Agnes was sabotaging her promotion video to the Tim Group.
Yolanda decided to work late, and she stayed until seven o’clock.
When everyone else had left, she finally came out of her office.
She made her way to Agnes‘ desk and turned on Agnes‘ computer.
She found Agnes‘ promotion video to be impeccable. But when she wanted to use it as a reference, Agnes had refused, claiming
she had deleted it all. But Yolanda didn’t believe Agnes didn’t have a backup somewhere on her computer.
She carefully unlocked Agnes‘ computer. She knew the password, having accidentally seen it once.
Yolanda successfully logged in. And there it was, right on the desktop, the promotion video.
Yolanda opened it, and sure enough, it was the complete file, including the post–launch plan.
“Agnes, since you’ve lost this opportunity, it’s an honor for you that I find your promotion video useful,” Yolanda thought.
She copied the pitch onto a USB, and then deleted everything related from Agnes‘ computer.
If Agnes confronted her later, she would simply deny it:
Agnes had told her that she deleted everything, so she had no one to blame but herself.
Within two days, Agnes had completed her special project, and it was even more popular than before.
The adoption project for stray cats and dogs was also under way. In two days, over ten thousand people had signed up for
adoption. All the stray animals were placed into loving homes after a screening process, and most of the adopters were cat and
dog lovers.
Agnes was busy with this project for the past two days.
The Tim Group was funding it, so Agnes was running back and forth as a middleman.
When she had finally finished, Agnes went straight to Jared’s office.
Jared had just finished a meeting and was surprised to see Agnes. “I was about to leave. Do you need something?” he asked,
“Shall we go home together?”
Agnes replied, “I have something else to do. I’ve compiled the adoption list and I want to deliver it to the Fabians tonight. Will you
come with me?” Jared agreed, “Sure, let’s go together.”
