Chapter 17:
Azar: “Doll?”
Amaya: “Azar…?”
Azar: “I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm sorry you had to see me like this.”
Amaya: “What are you talking about?”
Azar: “Don't stand up, please, you're hurt. Can I come close to you? I have everything under control now. Blaise and I have calmed down, I promise.”
Amaya: “Azar, I'm not afraid of you nor Blaise and you're fire.”
Azar: “Thank God!!”
Amaya: “Thank you.”
Azar: “Never thank me again. This is all my fault.”
Amaya: “It’s not your fault.”
Azar: “I said I wouldn’t leave you again and I did and now look at what happened.”
Amaya: “Stop it, none of this is your fault and you can’t babysit me all the time.”
Azar: “They were my pack members. I left them to protect you while I was gone.”
Amaya: “Why are you kneeling like that?”
Azar: “I need to see your face. Does it hurt?”
Amaya: “Don't worry, I'm fine. Trust me. This is nothing for me. I've been through a lot worse and beaten a lot more. I'm used to the pain.”
In Azar’s head: The way she was keeping her strong attitude on and telling me she had been she had worse in life broke my heart even worse.
Amaya: “Are you okay?”
Azar: “Seriously, Amaya? You're asking me if I'm okay? You're the one covered in bruises and blood.”
Amaya: “I'm telling you it's nothing serious. It's too bad you didn't arrive a little earlier.”
Azar: “I'm sorry I couldn't find you earlier.”
Amaya: “Not that. I was doing a really good job at fighting them.”
Azar: “I don't doubt it for a second.”
Amaya: “Calm down, I'm fine. I really am. It's nothing I can't handle. Everything’s fine.”
Azar: “You're comforting me?”
Amaya: “You look like you need it…a lot and Blaise too. Oh, I forgot to tell you something. Blaise is beautiful.”
Azar: “What about me?”
Amaya: “You know what I think of you.”
Azar: “Maybe I need you to remind me.”
Amaya: “I love you.”
Azar: “What did you say?”
Amaya: “I said I love you, I'm sorry. You don't need to say it back. I perfectly understand. My mouth is faster than my brain.”
Azar: “You love me?”
Amaya: “Yes.”
Azar: “I love you too…so much that it hurts. I’ve loved you since the first moment I laid my eyes on you.”
Amaya: “Azar? I'm really happy to hear it but you're holding me too tight”
Azar: “Sorry, I got too excited. I thought you'll never return my love.”
Amaya: “But I told you I fell in love with you before you left.”
Azar: “I thought it was my mind playing tricks on me and even if it was true, I was sure you'll hate me for leaving.”
Amaya: “I wanted to hate you but I can't.”
Azar: “My beautiful little mate.”
Miranda: “You scared the shit out of me, Amaya!! We were searching for you like crazy and I find you making out with him?! What? What does it smell like burned barbecue?”
Thorne: “Exactly.”
Azar: “Maybe it's the pile of ash behind us?”
Miranda: “Roasted wolves?!”
Thorne: “Who were they?”
Azar: “Jake and Luke, they hurt her!!”
Thorne: “Why would our own men do that?!”
Azar: “I have no idea.”
Amaya: “Umm…they did tell me something.”
Azar: “What did they say?”
Amaya: “I'll tell you, just please don't burst into flames again. They said it was payback to you. They always were in your shadow because you're stronger than any of them so since they knew that they couldn't hurt you…they decided the only way to get to you is to hurt me. I told you to stay calm.”
Azar: “How can I stay calm?! What are you hiding?!”
Amaya: “What?”
Azar: “I can feel that you're not telling me everything. Please?”
Miranda: “You can talk later. Azar, look at her. Did you forget that she's human?! She can't heal, she needs a doctor.”
Azar: “You're completely right.”
Amaya: “Miranda I'm fine.”
Miranda: “You're not. Don't act like that in front of me. Look at all those bruises. Either Azar takes you home or I will.”
Amaya: “Miranda you know I went through this every single day.”
Azar: “Let me carry you home.”
Amaya: “Perfectly able to walk by myself, thank you.”
Azar: “Please, for my sake. It'll make me more calm.”
Amaya: “Fine.”
Azar: “Let's go, little flame.”
Amaya: “Whatever.”
Azar: “Don't pout.”
Amaya: “I'm not pouting.”
Azar: “You are but you're so cute. (Azar’s bathroom). I'm afraid to leave you alone here. I won't watch, just to make sure you're fine.”
Amaya: “I'm telling you that I'm fine. Okay, you can stay. Wipe that smile off your face.”
Azar: “I can't help it. I'll turn around, don't worry.”
Amaya: “Azar?”
Azar: “Yes?”
Amaya: “You can turn around, I don't mind. In fact…I'll need your help.”
Azar: “Are you in pain? The doctor will be here soon.”
Amaya: “Can you help me with the clothes?”
Azar: “Of course.”
Amaya: “I'm sorry.”
Azar: “For what?”
Amaya: “I see how you're looking at me. I know that I'm disgusting.”
Azar: “No!! How can you even think of something like that? Let's get the blood off.”
Amaya: “Okay, you're not going to undress?”
Azar: “Why? Wanna see me naked?”
Amaya: “Why don't you want to look at me?”
Azar: “I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. I couldn't believe my pack members hurt you.”
Amaya: “You still saved me. They were gonna rape me. Azar, breathe! Nothing happened. I promise you I'm okay.”
Azar: “I shouldn't have killed them. I should’ve tortured them. They had an easy death.”
Amaya: “You burned them alive and tore them to pieces. You call that an easy death?”
Azar: “Now that you put it that way…”
Amaya: “Wash my hair and my back. How do you lift me like that?”
Azar: “You're as light as a feather. I hope I didn't grip you strongly this time. I'm sorry.”
Amaya: “Don't worry.”
Azar: “You're driving me insane.”
Amaya: “I know. I can tell and I would lie if I said I don't enjoy it.”
Azar: “Thank God you're safe. I was worried. I can't lose you, I love you. You're my life.”
Amaya: “Oh Azar…I love you too.”
