Amaya: “What are you talking about? Payback? Your members of my mates pack.”

Jake: “Azar almost killed me because of you.”

Amaya: “It wasn't my fault and you clearly survived. If he really wanted to kill you, he would’ve killed you already and you know it. So I don't see the problem.”

Luke: “He says you're his mate but we don't see it. Not only that you're human but we don't see any mark on your neck. I don't think you should call each other mates.”

Amaya: “I have no idea what this is all about. Let me go and the problem is solved.”

Jake: “No. We can't do that. Since we were young, we were always inferior to him. He's too strong and powerful for all of us. He made us feel humiliated and miserable all over again. Since we can't hurt him the way we want…we found a perfect way. We’ll hurt you instead. Wouldn't that be amazing?”

Luke: “Do you know we were lurking around the house for weeks? As pack members we were assigned by alpha Fenrir to protect you so we waited for our chance. It was the perfect opportunity with Azar being away but you were never alone. We were waiting to but never got the opportunity since you are in the house with Thorne the whole time.”

Jake: “And now we finally got you right where and how we wanted it.”

Amaya: “You're so dead for this.”

Jake: “Oh sugar…Azar is far away. He won't be able to arrive in time.”

Amaya: “I’m not talking about Azar.”

Luke: “Oh yeah? You're crazy, what do you think? You think you have a chance against us? A weak human against two wolves?”

Amaya: “I’m not weak!!”

Luke: “You're so feisty. I like it. That gives me an amazing idea. We didn't plan this but I would like to have you. What do you think, Jake?”

Jake: “That would be even better. Hurt him as much as possible.”

Amaya: “Over my dead body!!”

Jake: “What are you gonna do about that?”

Amaya: “This!!”

Jake: “What the hell?! You punched me!!”

Luke: “How is she so strong?!”

Jake: “I don't know.”

Luke: “We are wasting our time, grab her!!”

In Amaya’s head: I don't have the strength to run anymore.

Jake: “You little bitch.”

Amaya: “Fuck you.”

Jake: “We’ll see if you'll be able to talk after I'm done with you.”

Thorne: “Azar, what happened?!”

Azar: “I feel pain like I'm being beaten. (Azar’s eyes turn red). It’s my doll!! I need to find her right now.”

In Azar’s head: I was deep in the forest and far from my house. The thought of someone wanting to hurt her never crossed my mind. I knew I had a lot of pack members around the house. It was perfectly secure. I started running towards home but I caught her scent here in the forest. What's going on?! She’s completely on the different side of the woods from where I was. Fuck. Was she trying to find me? Her scent was faint which meant she's far, far away. I needed to stop for a second to think of which way to go. Come on Blaise, focus. We need to find her, track her. Her pain is becoming stronger and stronger. I'm getting closer, I can smell it. I can smell her blood.

Luke: “Not so brave anymore, huh?!”

Amaya: “Azar will kill you.”

Luke: “He won't find us. We hid our scents. As for you…your scent is too weak to be tracked and trust me, we’re really far away. He won't be able to hear you either.”

Jake: “Now, where were we?”

Amaya: “Get your hands off of me!!”

Jake: “You're not in the position to make demands. Now behave.”

Luke: “She's still fighting. Maybe she does need a few more punches.”

Jake: “Maybe she does.”

In Amaya’s head: The moment I thought my life was over, Azar came. His eyes glowing red, more furious than ever. I felt the ground underneath me tremble when he growled. Fire started consuming his body and a second later, Blaise took over. I tried so hard to keep my eyes open but everything was blurry. I was amazed by his beauty. This was the first time seeing him in his wolf form and he was glorious. I never imagined it to be like this. his fur on fire. Flames dancing in his eyes. I've never in my life seen something so magnificent. He was out for blood, there was no doubt about it. Then he leaped over me, crushing both of the men to the ground, lansinging them across the woods, further from me. Their bodies were already setting on fire. They didn't have a chance to shift. I couldn't see it well enough but I heard everything. they were screaming in agony. The sounds of bones cracking and flesh tearing echoing through the forest. He was tearing them apart until it all faded away. They were gone. Ash was the only thing that was left. Still in his will form, Azar turned to look at me. Rage radiated off his body, then he started running towards me. I thought he’d shift back but he didn't. His fire was burning stronger than ever as he stood in front of me. Blood dripped out of his jaws. He looked so protective the way he was standing. Ready to end anyone who would come near me.

In Azar’s head: I had so many rage outbursts before but nothing could compare to this now. The moment we could smell our mates blood, we’re ready to slaughter everyone. I couldn't believe members of my pack would hurt her. I can't believe I was stupid. For the two weeks I was away, among other pack warriors they were supposed to be around and protect her. I said I wouldn't leave her again and I did. Now look at what happened to her. I was so angry but mostly angry at myself. The danger was gone but I couldn't calm down. Blaise was still raging, looking for any potential threat. Amaya was on the ground behind me. Her breathing was so heavy. I could even hear uneven beats in her heart. She was hurt. Her body was covered in bruises. Fresh blood coming out of her busted lip. It reminded me of what I saw in her nightmare. I vowed to protect her. I said nothing will ever happen to her and I failed. I failed her. the moment I glanced at her, I couldn't even look her in the eyes. I felt guilty. Will she blame me? She should. This is my fault and I was afraid of what I'll see. Afraid she'll fear me now that she saw me like this. That she'll think I'm a monster because I for sure look like it and truth be told, I am one. I need it to calm down for her sake but I just couldn't. Blaise, the danger is gone.

Azar’s Wolf: “OUR MATE NEEDS US!!”
