Chapter Chapter Twelve: The Transformation
11:36
The guard blocking my gate told me. My wolf was becoming agitated with the anticipation of becoming a full Lycan.
I heard my father yell something, and the gate to the arena slowly opened. Walking inside, I noticed there was no one there.
"Why am I in here again?" I called to my father, watching from above me.
"To make sure you don't kill anybody," he shrugged. I swore I saw a hint of a lie in his eyes, but it was gone too quickly to be sure.
Something is wrong, I thought.
You need to focus, I have a feeling this is going to be painful, Akira said.
Why? I asked hearing the nervousness in my voice.
Something in his eyes...
I felt my suspicion grow by ten at her words. She feels it too.
"11:50," someone called out suddenly.
Instantly, the other gates started opening. My head swung back and forth, confused but alert.
"What the hell is this about?" I growled when ten male Lycans walked into the arena. They grinned with sharp teeth, and their swirling blue eyes were wide with hunger.
I felt my body start to shift involuntarily. My sports bra and shorts ripped, and black fur covered my body. I fell onto all fours, and growled at the approaching Lycans.
"11:55," someone shouted. The Lycans all shifted into massive wolves, the size of Blake's. I was about the same size, but their wolves were strange.
Their teeth and claws were longer and sharper. Their fur was brown with a white streak running down their backs. Some had scars, others were untouched.
I whipped around, snapping at the oncoming wolves. Growling loudly, I was about to lunge when another voice yelled out.
"11:58!" Immediately, all of the Lycans stood on their hind paws, rising to their full height. Their heads towered eight feet, and I realized why they were so strange.
They are more like bears than wolves. They could stand on their hind legs, not walk very well, but still fight.
I can't fight them!! I screamed in my head.
I knew there was something wrong with him! Akiragrowled. My eyes flicked up to see my father grinning wildly at the situation.
I let out an angry snarl and charged forward into the nearest Lycan. My teeth bit into his stomach, and he howled in pain before dropping back to all fours.
His body was above mine, and I pushed upward with strength, throwing him off me. Teeth sank into my back, and I yelped in pain. Turning, I slashed into the Lycan's face, making blood pour from his torn muscle.
He let go, and my fur turned red from the wound. All at once, eight Lycans rushed at me, tearing into my body with teeth and claws. I howled and growled, but it did no good. My teeth and claws were out, ripping into everything that I could, but there were too many of them.
The bones in my front paw were crushed, my throat was gushing blood, and my ear was shredded. One of my shoulders had been dislocated from its socket, I had cracked multiple ribs, and was bleeding profusely.
A new pain suddenly spread through my body, and I gasped. I heard a sharp whistle, and all of the Lycans backed away. I was barely standing, and I looked up to see my father still grinning like a maniac.
I heard another gate open, and Shade and my mate were dragged in, chains locking their arms and legs. Shade's eyes widened at the sight of me, and I thought I heard her whimper.
They were chained to the wall opposite me, their arms hung above their heads. A metal collar was put around their necks, as well as their ankles. They were fully restrained against the wall.
My legs were barely keeping me up, and almost buckled completely when another wave of pain rocked my body. I saw a tear slip down Shade's cheek, and she yelled out my name.
I felt my bones slowly break one by one, as I began my first shift into my Lycan. I was growling in pain, and Akira was screaming in my head, apparently this hurt her just as much.
My black fur grew longer, thicker, and the fur on my paws was becoming a tinted red. My bones grew and mended back together in a different shape. My whole body shuddered with pain that was 100 times worse than my first shift.
I saw blood pool around me, even faster than before. My father's eyes caught mine once again, and I snarled seeing them so happy.
He just laughed, and flicked his hand towards me. Immediately, the Lycans were on me again. I didn't know what to do, I was trying not to fall over from the shift, as well as fight off the savages that were once again tearing my wolf apart.
Shade was sobbing, and trying not to watch, while Blake just stared with wide, confused eyes. My bones finished shifting and I collapsed to the ground with a loud thud.
I was vaguely aware of teeth and claws slashing my skin and fur, as everything around me blurred and faded to a muffled noise. All I could hear was my own breathing, and a faint ringing in my left torn ear.
All of the blurry brown shapes suddenly fled away, and I was able to stand once more. Akira snarled in my head for me to snap out of it, and my vision slowly cleared. My hearing returned and I realized I was almost fully healed.
The Lycans had backed away, and stared at me with terrified eyes. I looked down to see black fur with a dark red tint on my paws.
My body felt different, and I growled happily. I did it! I howled in my head.
I. Want. Blood! Akira screams, her voice feral and snarling. She sounded different, and I felt different.
My body agreed with her, and I felt my want for blood even worse than before, all I wanted to do was kill everything in sight.
Dashing forward, I slashed my teeth and claws into every single Lycan in the arena. Their throats and hearts were torn out, intestines spilled onto the dirt floor. Blood covered my muzzle and paws, and my eyes were blood red too.
My canines were even longer than normal, and my anger was out of control. I slowly rose to my hind legs, and I towered to at least 10 feet. My eyes lifted to my father's sadistic grin.
I can't believe what he did! I growled in realization.
"You monster!" I growl, my voice full of pure rage. Apparently Lycans can talk too. He laughed sharply, his eyes colder than ice.
"No my dear, I just helped make the monster."
