Girls Rule

Chapter 17: Kidnapping

Ace

“What a lovely surprise to see you Ace.” Lawson smirked as he cocked his head to the side.

“I would say the same for you, but then I would be lying.” I replied.

Lawson scoffed and put his hand over his heart. “That hurt me deep Ace. That hurt.”

I let out a dark laugh. “No. The only thing that is gonna be hurting is when I rip your throat out.”

“Is that any way to act like a lady?” One of the rogues said that was next to Lawson.

“Just because I’m a girl doesn’t mean I have to be nice.”

“And what about you guys?” Colby asked.

“What do you mean?” The same rogue questioned.

“Guys are suppose to be gentlemen. I guess chivalry really is dead.” Colby shrugged.

“Ouch.” Gabriel laughed.

Lawson growled. “Enough of the child’s play. Let’s just cut the chase.”

I groaned. “Now what.”

“Either you come with me and we won’t attack.”

Deacon growled. “When hell freezes over.”

“Fine.” Lawson shrugged. “Have it your way.”

I looked over at Deacon and nodded.

‘Ready girls?’ I asked.

‘Hell ya.’ Colby and Zylen said in determination.

‘Attack!’ I commanded through the link.

My pack members growled and started to shift.

“So this is how it’s going to be.” Lawson commented as he stood tall. “Fine. If you want a fight, we’ll give you a fight.”

I shifted and jumped straight for Lawson when he started to shift.

Right as I was about to hit him, I felt a blow to my side.

I groaned as I was knocked into a tree. I looked up and saw a rogue growling at me.

‘Fucking asshole.’ Ava growled.

I growled and stood up quickly so he couldn’t do anymore damage.

He walked around me, causing us to walk in circles.

How did he get so many rogues to be on his side? I just don’t understand.

The rogue growled and lunged, but I saw a flash of red.

‘Thanks Colby.’ I sighed in relief.

‘No problem girl.’ Colby replied after she bit the rogues throat.

‘Ace! Colby!’ We heard through the link as footsteps were approaching.

We turned around and saw Zylen in her wolf form. She sounds worried.

‘What’s wrong?’ I asked as Colby and I trotted up to her.

‘There’s been a breach.’

‘Where?’ I growled.

‘South border.’ Zylen said worried.

I growled and hit the ground with my paw.

‘Colby stay here. Zylen and I will take the south border.’

‘Will do.’ Colby nodded.

‘Yell if you need anything.’ I said, before quickly darting off.

How are they getting passed all of my guards? Did he really get that many rogues to join him that he can just attack anywhere? He is sending so many parties. I don’t know if I can keep up.

‘Get it together.’ Ava growled at me. ‘He has a lot of rogues. So what. That doesn’t mean shit. This pack has a lot more experience. So does Deacon’s. We know how to work as a team. Rogues don’t.’

I sighed. ‘You’re right.’

‘Good. Now get your head out of your ass and stop worrying. Focus.’

Sometimes she can be really harsh.

‘Ace look out!’ Zylen yelled.

I stopped running and turned to my left to see a wolf come barreling towards me.

I jumped over top of him and he skidded to a stop and swiveled around.

He growled and ran towards me again.

I growled back and charged him as well.

He went to go bite me, but I ducked down just in time and rammed him with my head.

He went flying back and rolled across the ground.

I didn’t waste anytime and charged him again.

But he was pretty fast.

He easily jumped over me and kicked me with his back feet.

I let out a whine as I rolled across the ground and slammed into a tree.

‘Ace!’ Zylen yelled as she ran over to me.

‘I’m fine. Let’s get the rogue.’ I strained out and I slowly stood up.

‘He’s gone.’ Zylen growled out in annoyance.

‘Of fucking course he is.’ I huffed. ‘Come on. Let’s get to the south border.’

Zylen nodded and we continued to run.

‘Are you okay?’ Zylen asked as we jumped over a small stream.

I nodded. ’Yeah. I’ll be fine.”

‘Okay.’ Zylen mumbled. But I could still hear how much she was concerned.

I love my friends.

After about an hour of running, we finally made it.

I growled as I saw the newbies fighting alone.

‘Where did everyone go?’ I growled as I ran over to help.

‘I-I don’t know alpha.’ Lincoln said as he dodged a rogue. ‘They were here, but then they just disappeared.’

‘I’ll deal with them later.’ I growled out in anger.

I can’t fucking believe that they left the newbies to fight on their own. They aren’t ready for this yet.

I quickly charged a rogue and slammed into his side before he could get to Lincoln.

‘Thank you alpha.’ Lincoln sighed.

‘It’s fine. Go help the others. I’ll deal with this one.’

He nodded and ran off.

The rogue growled as he got back up, but whimpered when he put pressure on his front right paw.

I smirked. Ha. Sucks to suck.

I leaped for him and tackled him to the ground.

He tried to thrash around to get me off of him, but it didn’t work. I was able to finally bite his throat when he looked to the left.

I spit out the flesh and watched as he slowly started to shift back to human.

‘Damn they taste horrible.’ I said spitting out his blood.

‘All the rogues left.’ Lincoln mumbled as he ran up to me with all the other newbies.

‘What do you mean they all left?’ I asked.

‘I-I don’t know.’ He said confused. ‘Sarah and I were fighting a rogue and then all of the sudden he just turned around and ran into the forest.’

‘They all did.’ Nicole said as she too walked up to me.

I was about to respond, but Colby cut me off.

‘Ace! All the rogues just left.’

‘What?’ I asked in disbelief.

‘They just disappeared. They stopped fighting and ran the other way.’

‘Let me guess.’ I sighed. ‘They all ran into the forest together.’

‘How did you know?’ She asked confused.

‘The same thing happened here.’ I commented as I looked around the area.

‘Something isn’t right here.’

‘I know.’ I sighed as I shook my head. ‘Get everyone checked out and then have them meet me in the pack hall.’

‘Will do.’ Colby said.

I looked back at Lincoln and the others.. ‘Alright. You guys get to the pack doctor and get checked out. When you are done, meet me in the pack hall.’

‘Yes alpha.’ They nodded and ran off.

“How is everyone feeling?” I asked.

“Good.” Colby nodded.

I looked around in confusion.

“Where’s Deacon?” I asked Zane and Gabriel.

Zane shrugged. “I thought he went looking for you.”

I shook my head. “I haven’t seen him.”

“Then where the hell is he?” Gabriel asked worried.

“Oh shit.” I said as realization hit me.

“What?” Zylen asked.

“The rogues all fled.”

“Thank you captain obvious.” Colby said.

I shook my head. “No. They took Deacon.”

Everyone’s eyes went wide.

“No.” Gabriel whispered out.

I felt like I couldn’t breathe. They took my mate. I don’t know what to do.

‘We have to get him back.’ Ava whimpered.

I growled out in anger and punch the wall.

I removed my hand from the giant hole that I just created and turned back around.

“Get everyone ready.” I commanded.

“But we just fought and-” Zane started to say.

“I don’t care.” I growled making him shrink back. “They took Deacon. We are getting him back. Get everyone ready. We are leaving tonight.”

Zane gulped and nodded.

They messed with the wrong alpha.

Lawson

“Bring her in.” I smirked as I rubbed my hands together.

The two untied the bag and opened it up.

My smirk immediately dropped when I saw what was in the bag.

“Deacon?” I questioned. “You got Deacon!”

“I-I’m sorry sir!” The rogue pleaded.

“I gave you guys one fucking job. One!” I growled as I balled my fists. “And that was to get Ace. But instead you bring me Deacon.”

“Well they have the same pattern on their fur, but the colors are just opposite and I got confused!” The rogue said nervously as he tried to defend himself.

I should just kill this rogue.

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. “You’re a fucking idiot.”

“So what do we do with him?” Another rogue asked as he pointed to a knocked out Deacon who was still in the bag.

I growled as I started to pace around the room. Then an idea popped to mind.

“We use him as bait.” I smirked.

“What do you mean Lawson?” Cole asked confused.

“Him and Ace are mates. Once she knows that we have him, she’ll come running to us.”

Cole smirked. “That’s genius.”

“I know. Now go put him in the cellar before he wakes up. And do it fast.” I commanded.

“Yes sir.” Cole nodded as he and the other rogues lifted up Deacon and took him away.

I laughed as I looked out the window.

Oh Ace. I’ll have you soon.
