Chapter 28 Showing Restraint

I took a deep breath in through the noise as my mate tried to deepent the kiss. This little woman was driving me and my wolf absolutely crazy. I couldn’t take this steamy embrace any longer. With her being. in heat, I could smell her all around me. It was suffocating!

She moved closer to where I was, forcing me back to my office chair while she continued to move her lips against mine. As soon as I was sitting, she climbed up to straddle me, something that made me thankful that I had such a large

ir. My hands landed on her hips, sliding up so I could feel the soft skin underneath her shirt.

She gasped, feeling the rough texture of my hands and helped by pulling her shirt up and off of her body. I was salivating at the look at her, but she didn’t give me much time to take in her beautiful body. Her mouth was on mine again with an entirely new sensation.

My hands slowly glided up the length of her torso before finding the underwire of her bra, teasing her with my thumb rubbing just under the fabric. Barely feeling her precious skin while still drowning in the sensation of her. She was quick to shed her bra as well.

Her body must not have thought this was enough, grounding her hips. down onto my tented pants next. A growl rumbled through my chest. My hands rested back on her hips to help press her against myself again and again.

She had my wolf nearly out of control trying to fill those desires of hers. He wanted to ravage her the moment we smelt her enter my

office. While I did too any normal day. I didn’t want it to be while she was in heat. That meant she couldn’t possibly be conscious enough to know if she really wanted this with me.

I, however, really wanted this attention from her. My shorts had already tightened significantly from her less than innocent touches. I never wanted to let her go, but if I didn’t she wouldn’t ever trust me again. I didn’t want my mate to hate me anymore than she may have

now.

So rather than pulling her even closer into myself, I tried to reign my body and my wolf in. I even managed to push her and her kisses away from me.

She looked up at me with a disappointed expression that twisted at my heartstrings. I frowned down at the little human in front of me. “Don’t you want me, Nicolas?” A shiver ran up and down my spine at her use of my name. Her attention felt so good now, even when she didn’t

mean it.

“That isn’t it, Riley,” I sighed to my mate, also disappointed that I’m turning this chance down. “Do you want to have sex with me because you genuinely like me?”

When she hesitates, I already know the answer. It hurts just as much as her disappointed expression had. I knew she wouldn’t choose to connect with me like this so flippantly. I would have to learn to live with this disappointment until she finally chooses me back.

“You’re just in heat, Riles. I promise you don’t have to explain anything to me now,” I tried to soften my tone as she stared up at me with glassy eyes. I shifted back half a step, worried that I would go back on my word with that look in her eyes. “I just don’t want you to wake up tomorrow morning and regret such a big step in our

relationship.”

One day, hopefully, she will decide to give herself to me fully. To make love than to just f**k out some frustrations like she was trying to now. One day, she might love me with all she had just like I did with her. That day would be the day I marked her as mine and only mine. It was a day I looked forward to with all my soul. A day I begged the Moon Goddess that I would live to see.

She nodded in understanding while she continued to squirm in her spot. I took a look at her naked body, not sure when that had entirely happened, then groaned as I tore my eyes away from her. “Let’s get you dressed then, shall we?”

She gave a nod again, looking like she was searching for her clothes. I got her settled onto my office chair while I stood to gather her belongings. Slowly, I picked up piece by piece. When I believed I gathered everything, I made my way back to her to help her put it all. on. I would be bringing her back to our bedroom, and I would raise. hell if anyone saw her undressed like this.

She flushed but assisted me in getting her dressed the best she could. By helping me, I really meant that she lifted her limbs to a more accessible position. Her face was flushed a bright red still, sweating from the heat of her body’s instincts.

I also stashed the pills Vera brought for her heat into my pant’s pockets. I would give it to her as soon as we were back in the bedroom. “Come on, my mate.” While she made a move to stand up on her own, I was having none of it. I wasn’t going to have my woman prancing around the castle while she smelled so enticing to everything.

She made a small gasp at being picked up, but didn’t say anything. She rested her forehead against my bicep while I started on the way back to the room that I declared was ours so long ago. She put up little.

resistance, so I hoped that at least being close to me was helping her cool down at least a little bit.

When we got to the bedroom, I set her down on the center of my well- used bed. Helping her to take the pills that Vera brought him of his own request. She looked down at the pills for a long moment before she decided to take them. It showed how little trust she still had with

me.

“I’m going to be sleeping in a separate room, since that’s safer for the both of us.” I explained to her as she stared up at me from the bed. Her hair wrapped around her in a messy halo with teary eyes and flustered cheeks. I’ve never seen her look more beautiful. “If you need me at all. have Sara call for me. Alright?”

She nodded, so I took my leave to the bedroom I had prepared for me.

The first thing on the agenda was to have a long and cold shower. I beelined it for the bathroom and stripped down to my birthday suit. before my feet even touched the tiled floor.

Even though I turned the dial to its coldest setting. I still took in a sharp breath when I got under the showerhead. It was the best way to calm my body down enough so I don’t march back in there to give her exactly what she wanted. I had never respected a woman as much as did my mate. Never been so upset to turn her down..

I took a glance down at my hard member, knowing that the cold water wasn’t helping cool down my reaction to her. A cold shower wasn’t enough, I was going to have to pleasure myself to push this feeling away. I sighed, hoping I wouldn’t be stuck like this for too long.
