Gamma’s Destined Mate.

Chapter 9

Adella Arcos - POV

I pulled his sweatshirt tighter against my body while I looked around the mess that was in my living room. The adrenaline rush that I felt earlier was slowly wearing off, and I was starting to feel the pain in my hand, and everywhere I got hit. Gamma Gomez came back into the living room, took a seat next to me on the couch, and extended his hand. I slowly placed mine on top of his, and instantly, the sparks flew which made me gasp.

“Is it painful?” he asked me, sounding worried, but I shook my head. “Shall I begin?” he asked me, and I nodded my head before he began pulling the glass shards out of my skin. I bit my lips hard, trying not to scream out in pain. I didn't want him to think that I was weak. “You know you can scream if it is painful. I won't judge,” he said and looked up at me with a soft smile on his face.

“I am good,” I told him. Once he was done wrapping my hand with gauge, he placed the medical kit on the coffee and relaxed back on the couch. A comfortable silence descended while I stared at everything except him.

“So, what is your name?” Gamma Gomez asked me, breaking the silence.

“Adella. Adella Arcos.”

“That's a pretty name. So, what do you do for a living?”

“I am, um, a primary school teacher,” I told him, and he nodded his head.

“I think my senses are in chaos now, but I have a feeling that your wolf is an omega?” he started, and this made me stiff. I was dreading this question from the beginning.

“I was born an omega. But then I studied hard and rose in my rank.” I told him while I started fiddling with my fingers. “I know having an omega mate is…” he placed a finger on my lips, which made me look up at him.

“A mate bond is decided by the goddess above, and it is not based on the ranks that humans created. So, don't ever think like that,” he said, and this made a smile appear on my face. The temperature in the room slowly increased while I felt something strange happen to my body. Wolves howled into the night sky as the moon was reaching its peak. “I will get something for you to drink,” I said and abruptly got up from the couch, when I was about to leave, my feet got tangled in the carpet, and I fell on top of him.

His hands immediately wrapped around my waist, igniting the works between us, securing me while my hand wrapped around his neck. His eyes were slowly getting darker till they were black, and my eyes slightly widened in anticipation and shock. “Mate! Mate!” Rachel was screaming in my head while running around in a circle.

“You look beautiful, mate,” he whispered before he leaned forward, and my eyes automatically shut. When our lips touched, it was like heaven on earth. This was my first kiss, and I never knew it would be this magical. He started to move his lips against mine, and I followed suit. His hands pulled me in further till I wrapped my legs around his hip. He lightly bit my lips, asking for entrance, and when I opened, he started exploring every nook and cranny in my mouth, making me breathless.

I was slowly losing my oxygen supply, but I didn't want him to end our kiss just yet. He slowly let go of my lips and placed small kisses along my jawline till he reached my neck. He placed a long and sensual kiss in the place where my neck meets the shoulder, and this made a shiver run down my spine.

“Jose,” I moaned, and this made him tighten his hand around me. I felt his canines scrap my skin, and this time, I didn't push or struggle, instead, I awaited the moment when he would mark me as his. He moved closer to me, and his canine pierced my skin, but it didn't go all the way in. He only marked me on a surface level before he pulled out.

“I am sorry. I shouldn't have…”

“No, that's alright. I told him, and quickly got up from his lap. “I…I will get something for you.” I told him and rushed into the kitchen. My heart was beating like a drum against my rid cage while I stayed in the kitchen for a while to catch my breath and compose myself. Once I was sure I was okay, I prepared a cup of coffee and gave it to him. “Are you going now?” I asked him when I realized that it was one in the morning.

He looked at the broken door and the window before he shook his head. “I don't think it's safe for you to stay in her alone. I will stay here and leave in the morning,” he said, and I nodded my head.

“Do you want to sleep in my bedroom? I will sleep on the couch?” I asked him, and he shook his head.

“I will sleep in here. You go and sleep in your room.”

“Okay,” I told him, got up from the couch, and grabbed the coffee cup, I walked away from him, and when I was about to leave the living room, he called me.

“Adella,” I never liked my name more than I did today. My name rolled out of his mouth as smooth as butter. “Could you get me a blanket and pillow?” he asked me, and I nodded my head before I left the living room.
