Gamma’s Destined Mate.

Chapter 26

Gamma Jose Gomez - POV

They had to practically drag him to the trees and tie him up, and once they were sure that he would not break his bond, they stepped back and looked at Alpha Ralph. “For trying to sexually harass a fellow pack member, you will be given thirty whip lashes to your back.” Alpha Ralph commanded, and he motioned for the warriors to step forward.

Beta Lanzo didn't protest, nor did he yell at anyone, instead, he only glared, and that too, particularly at me. The warrior with the whip stepped forward and positioned himself behind Beta Lanzo, he looked at Alpha Ralph, and when he motioned to go ahead, the warrior began.

I must say beta Lanzo does have a high tolerance level. Not a single sound came out of him for the first ten whip lashes, but from the amount of blood that was dripping down his legs, I knew that it must be hell for him. But as the numbers gradually increased, he started to groan before finally he started screaming in agony. The warriors visibly took a step back and looked down at the ground, not wanting to see their ex-beta suffer.

“The final three whip lashes.” the warrior announced, but by this time, beta Lanzo was too exhausted to even scream.

“Continue, what are you waiting for?” Alpha Ralph asked him when he stopped, and the warrior nodded his head and brought the whip on him hard. Once the last lash ran down on his back, the warrior stepped back, and immediately, two other warriors stepped forward and untied his hands.

The moment they let go, he fell to the ground, face first. My eyes traveled to his back, and when I saw the blood-covered flesh, a shiver ran down my spine. The warrior with the whip walked towards Alpha Ralph, and I saw that some of the nails were missing from the whip while some had pieces of flesh stuck to them.

“Help him up and put him on the other side of the border.” Alpha Ralph ordered, and for a couple of seconds, his warriors hesitated before they gently made Beta Lanso get up, carried him to the other side, and put him there. Alpha Ralph walked there till he was a few feet away from his beta. “You have three hours to disappear from this broader, and if I still see you lingering here, then I will have no choice but to kill you.” Alpha Ralph warned him before he walked towards me. “Let's go, Gamma Gomez,” he said and started walking toward the pack house.

I stood there for a while when Beta Lanzo slowly lifted his head and sneered at me. “I will not spare you for what you did to me, Gamma Gomez,” he mumbled, his voice filled with vengeance and hatred toward me.

“You got the punishment that you deserve, Beta Lanzo,” I told him, and when I turned around to leave, he spoke again.

“Let's see what punishment you get when the secret you are hiding comes to light.” this made me freeze in my spot, and I turned around to see that he had an evil smile on his face. “You will pay a big price for this,” he warned me before he got up from the ground on shaky legs and limped his way deeper into the unknown.

A part of me was confused as to what he was trying to tell me, but there was this nagging voice within me telling me exactly what he meant by that.

Adella Arcos - POV

I stayed more than a week at Summer’s place, and I was kind of glad that she took care of me. I didn't know why, but I was extremely weak this past week, and I kept moving in and out of consciousness. “Hey, you do need anything?” Summer asked me when I walked into the kitchen. She was preparing something for dinner.

“No, I just came to see what you are doing,” I told her before I took a seat on the chair.

“How is that pain now?” she asked me, which made my hand touch the tender spot in my neck.

“It is still slightly painful, but I guess not as bad as last week,” I told her, and she nodded her head.

“Well, I guess that is good news,” she said and walked toward me and stood just a few inches away from me. “It is still looking a little pink, but I guess it will vanish in a few weeks.” Summer said.

“Where is Vince?”

“Oh, he said that he has a late meeting at the office, so he will not be able to make it for dinner.” Summer responded, and just then, I heard the doorbell.

“Are you expecting someone?” I asked her with a raised eyebrow, and she shook her head.

“Who can it be at this time,” she said, and when she was about to check it out, I got up from my place.

“I will go and see who it is. You carry on with your cooking.” I told her, and she nodded her head. I walked to the main door and looked through the peephole. My heart did a summersault when I saw who it was. I quickly pulled open the door and just ran into his arms.

“How are you?” Jose asked me, but I didn't answer his questions. The last time I saw him was at the hospital, and since then, he hasn't even come to meet me.

“Why didn't you come to see me?” I asked him when I pulled back.

“The training last week was very intense, so I didn't have the time to come and visit you. But, I did message you from time to time, right?” he asked me, but I pouted at him.

“That doesn't count, Jose,” I told him.

“Fine, I am sorry. I will not leave you again, all right?” he asked me, and I nodded my head.

“That's better,” I said.
