Galaxy Of Hope

Chapter Red (2)

We flew a few miles out of Dornatill and approached a tall building. All helicopters could land on the four helipads on top of the structure and we all flanked out. More guards were waiting, all Scorpio’s I saw by the badge they were wearing. Dosch had really called all troops. ‘Were are we?’ I asked. Jax glanced at the other helicopter. ‘One of Dominic’s hotels. There is probably a casino downstairs somewhere.’ That made me grunt in indignation. The fucking bastard with his gambling empire. I still needed to deal with that bad debt shit when I got home. ‘And a hospital I hope.’ Sebastian drawled before taking a really big tug from his cigarette as if he was dying for the hit. By the smell of it, the cigarette wasn’t regular tobacco either.

We just followed the big bad Scorpio mob boss, who was walking first, down the corridor. Until we hit an elevator. Oak was still silently carrying my girl, his jaw clenched. Our girl. Whatever.

Dominic turned around, pointed at Mourad and Oak to step in the elevator and halted everyone else. Anger rose to the surface so fast I was afraid my head would explode. He saw the look on my face and on the others. ‘I’m not staying behind.’ Andrew growled so low he even made me wince. Sebastian was not having him at his back angry like this and quickly slid to the side before discarding his joint right on the rich carpet floors of Dosch fancy hotel. Nobody noticed.

’Fine, Widowmaker. You can join.’ Dosch sighed and Andrew deliberately walked against his shoulder while stepping next to Oak. ’Everyone else, fuck off for a few minutes. We can’t be walking in with the ten of us all fired up. She needs to be looked at, now.’ Dosch said and all of us agreed. But it wasn’t easy. ‘Barrington.’ He chipped at the last second. ‘You need to get that thick head of yours checked out too.’ He dragged him by his collar into the elevator. ‘Gods know, you don’t need any more of those braincells to be damaged.’ The elevator doors shut before we could hear Sebastian’s reply.

Jax let out a high laugh at that last part and we were left here in the hallway in deep silence. It was me, Jax, the red-headed Scorpio and Vincent and his two goons.

‘Well.’ The nutjob said. ‘That was exciting.’

I growled. ‘Shut your fucking mouth, for all I know you were the one who ordered the hit.’

It was the truth. I was not sure he wasn’t crazy enough for this. Until he said.

‘They found a manifesto, Briareve.’ He motioned to the Libra next to him. A stocky guy with a big moustache. He showed us the paper. It read in Mons.

Leave no one alive, but the girl in red.

Which made me realize two things. We would have died tonight if it wasn’t for Lux and Vincent was most definitely not in on whatever this was.
