Galaxy Of Hope

Chapter Mate (4)

I don’t know whose face was more in shock in that restaurant. Andrew, Dosch, Vincent’s or mine. Of all things I had expected… Andrew? I could not even finish my own thoughts. But it all started to make sense.

Andrew and Dosch were now preparing for a throwdown. ‘Vincent drop it.’ They both snarled.

He just laughed some more and waved the gun around. Was he drunk?

‘Well well.. the both of you? I was just planning to flush out Andrew tonight! A two for one special!’

He glanced at me as if he was saying congrats and I feebly added. ‘It’s news to me too.’

I gave Andrew a hard glance. Dosch just kept staring at his own gun. Deciding when to shoot. Or who to shoot. At this point I wasn’t sure he wasn’t going to shoot himself to keep me safe.

‘Dominic Rios is your mate?’ Andrew angrily growled.

’Locco, you are a freaking Libra. You have sworn an oath and you are the sixth?’ Dominic’s accent was more prominent, he was very upset.

In all the commotion I hadn’t even thought about that, but now everything clicked into place. That’s why he… oh my god he figured it out at the motel… he had sworn on oath to never become bonded. Shit. That meant none of us would ever get to partake in the claiming. Oak and Ash were going to lose it, they had made the oath they would. Oh my gosh this was a disaster of epic proportions.

Vincent left the room.

‘Well now the cat is out of the bag. Carina, you are coming home with me. Now.’ the bastard was already ushering Mourad my way to move me out of here.

‘Excuse me?’

‘You heard me.’

‘Like fuck I am coming with you. You can’t just snap your fingers and I am going to fall into your arms again Dosch.’ Mourad ducked away from me real quick.

‘Again?’ said Andrew.

‘Carina, there is no use to stay away from each other now.’ he was ignoring his bondmate.

‘Well maybe I want to.’ I snapped.

‘She clearly doesn’t want to.’ Andrew added his two cents.

‘Yeah well, you aren’t any better.’ I snapped. ‘When did you think was a good time to let me know, huh? When all the others were trying to move heaven and earth to find our sixth?’

‘I was always going to, but there were things to figure out.’

‘Like how he has sworn that oath underneath the stars, that oh yeah… binding oath for life.’

Dosch was a real dick.

Vincent was turning out to be the most likable one in the vicinity about now. Never thought I would say that.

‘I’m leaving.’

This was all one big joke. But hey, the universe had put me on my path of all of my mates and my intuition about Andrew had been right. It had not been normal to be so attached so quickly and now I come to think of it. I should have known he was my mate too.
