Galaxy Of Hope

Chapter Many and none

Marcus head being dropped at my feet made a storm erupt from deep inside of me somewhere. An innocent Rainer had died because of me. I gave my mates a glance, which conveyed everything. They would be pissed but I was going for it. I reached for the light inside of me. The deepest part I had always stayed away from. I pulled and pulled until my hands were glowing. Everyone in the room looking at them in a strange kind of awe. ‘Walk away from them.’ I darkly whispered. The leader hesitated.

‘Take her in guys!’

It exploded outwards, I could feel it reaching for all of the guys behind my boys and I snuffed it all out. Like wicks on candles, snuff, snuff, snuff. One by one they dropped. I was out of my body, I was everywhere at once. Some of the assaulters screamed in fear. A gun went off at the other side of the room but I was beyond bullets, I reached for the bullet midway and it slammed of a wall. I raised my other hand and motioned towards the ceiling, letting all guns flow at once through the hole they had come through. The leader was now worried, or amazed. ‘Look at that.’ He whispered, mouth agape.

‘Leave.’ I said but my voice sounded many, like I was digitally altered with three new voices. Some higher, some lower pitched.

Now the guards had no more guns the field was leveled. I vaguely was aware of Oak and the others saying something but I could not be reached. I was many.

‘Take her!’ the leader yelled once again. I put out both my hands, halting both parties at either side of the room and snuffed, snuff, snuff. They all fell down. Now their ranks were falling. I tried to snuff out the three that ran for me, but my power didn’t work on them. They swung and I ducked, they kicked and I jumped, high, way too high. I was flying. I dropkicked them in the head and started sparring. My Verr Boyas and all the other training showing. They had the same tricks I had. The same magic apparently because we were now going at it in the sky. I was many.

‘Leave!’ I yelled again and my voice boomed, all the lights flashed out and on again. A sudden gust of wind sending another layer of guards to the sky.

The leader nodded to the three others and they turned my way again. ‘See you soon, Lux Elmrose.’ And up they flew.

As I descended down, all my many became none. My fire was snuffed and I tumbled down an abyss. I had killed a room full of Rainers with one flick of my wrist. As I was realizing this, my legs wouldn’t budge, I fell down. The last thought I had before everything went to black was, what am i?

I am many and I am none, my inner voice replied.
