Chapter Girl talk

Skylark passed me the mashed potatoes and I flinched. I was in a daydream that had taken up all my attention.
‘What are you thinking about?’ she smirked. Clearly knowing that I was thinking about my mates.
I winked. ‘A lady never tells.’
‘So….’ She glanced at Olive who was smiling wickedly as well.
The Shack was packed tonight. I was in the red booth with my girlfriends, but the chatter of all the other occupants clearly rang throughout the space. Everyone wanted to catch up in this first week of college apparently.
‘Five mates…. Tell me. Who is better in bed?’ Skylark giggled, and I rolled my eyes.
‘Stop it Sky. Two of your brothers are my mates!’ I growled.
Olive winked. ‘I like that, that’s kinky. Two professors as well….’
‘Ieuw, Olive, those are my brothers you are talking about!’ Sky was suddenly appalled.
If she only knew what those brothers were doing to me.
I drank from my white wine and let my fingertip caress the edge of the glass.
‘I’m not having sex with all of them.’ As far as they knew, Kai was also one of my mates. As was Jax. They had no idea about Dominic Rios though.
‘You are having sex with three of them…. Twins.’ Olive giggled as if that was extra funny.
Skylark threw a chicken bone toward her head. ‘Those are my brothers! But…’ she glanced my way. ‘I will look passed it if you tell me this one thing.’
‘Tell you what?’
‘Is it Ash or Oak that is better in the sack? I always wondered about that.’
I sealed my lips. ‘Never telling.’
It was Oak on the rough days and Ash on the soft days, no one would ever guess that though.
‘Okay, but still nothing with Jax?’
‘Nothing. We probably never will.’ I do wonder about that. If we never consummated our bond, will we be mated anyway?
‘And Kai?’ Olive asked and I flinched at his name. No one has seen him since his mother died.
‘Nope…. Don’t know anything about him and don’t care.’
They exchanged glances again.
‘What is it?’
‘Nothing… just that everyone is super jealous of your mates. They just can’t believe you got all Paramore’s.’ Olive added somberly.
‘Well… they can join the club because I can’t believe it either.’
