Galaxy Of Hope

Chapter All Roads

Losing almost all of your achieved muscle due to a coma was a hard pill to swallow. I was so skinny now, I looked like a walking corpse. The skin under my eyes sunken in. I really need to bulk up and get some sunlight on my face, asap. I was at Maddox Manor, everyone unanimously agreed I would not be staying anywhere alone. So my apartment would be a place I won’t be seeing again anytime soon.

‘You ready?’ Andrew asked as he barged into my room. I was in the middle of stepping into my red training gear. I rolled my eyes at him and quickly slide into my pants. He had seen it all anyway. Yet, my body wasn’t looking its best right now and that made me a little subconscious.

We were going to hunt for the Fae Glass tonight. All roads led to Faerie and it was clear that my solo mission was about to become a not-so-solo mission. The guys didn’t know about my quest for Ethan and I would keep it that way for now. All they cared about was finding the Fae assassins who hurt me, who tried to kidnap me. Vincent had told them at the dinner table that he wanted a way into Faerie and he would let our deal go.

So literally all roads led to it.

The Fae Glass was an important part of making it into Faerie. With only a few pieces of the infamous fae mirror left in all of the nation, it would be quite an undertaking.

First I would get some light training in with Andrew. We were working on my training skills again slowly. I was surprised to notice I hadn’t lost that much of my strength during the coma.

I noticed Dosch watching us train and it was a strange sight seeing him at Maddox Manor like this. It looked surreal. Like a hidden part of my life had invaded the current one.

‘Are you feeling confident about tonight?’ Andrew asked while both of us drank from our water bottles. I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. ‘I think so. We can’t waste any more time, Andy.’

‘I still feel more comfortable leaving you here.’

‘And who is going to carry the glass?’ I glanced behind my shoulder. ‘Right, I don’t see anyone with Fae blood here who is able to pick it up.’

It was all still a theory. We weren’t entirely sure I would be able to pick off the Fae Glass but since they had clearly seen my magic that night, everyone assumed it would be possible.

Tonight it would be confirmed.

I was still not sure what I felt about that.
