Fudge, I reincarnated as the heroine!

Chapter 13

As I carved them, I didn’t hold back my imagination and gave them all a background. Even if my carving skills aren’t top notch, I still managed to make them resemble what I was aiming for.

The black pieces were the dark faction. An army of vicious vampires, bloodthirsty and always ready for war. A bunch of battle maniacs capable of manipulation and charms while also users of dark magic. They can also blend with shadows and are skilful at hiding their presence, making them the ultimate predators.

The white pieces were the light faction. Filled with righteousness and benevolence, the angels that waged war with the unrestrained creatures of darkness. They wield the light and had the power of healing and divination. Through light manipulation, they can reflect light and thus become invisible.

I also gave the kings a special ability, one hit one kill, since the kings can only make one move at a time. The queens also have a special ability, doppelgangers. The queen of night can take over subordinate’s bodies and still have the immense power of a queen, while duplicating her power into the subordinate. The queen of dawn however, replaces her subordinate with a perfect replica of herself.

Of course the pawns are connected to the queen, that’s their ability.

The bishop, I made him into a general, a wise strategist and advisor, has the ability of teleportation.

The knight has amazing dodging skills. He can use darkness/light to his advantage no matter the terrain.

The rook, for the vampires it’s a gargoyle and for the angels it’s a griffin. They both have the ability to fly and have strong defensive skills.

And the trait that all vampires had in common was the bat wings and the angels had feathered wings.

The vampires had red eyes and black hair.

Angels had golden eyes and silver hair.

Now, the reason I mentioned all this is because, as I finished the last piece, all the chess pieces started glowing mysteriously and hovering in the air.

Next thing I know, an army of vampires and angels were standing in front of me kneeling.

I started backing away in shock and stared incredulously at this development.

“Mistress, we await your orders!”

A handsome man with glowing red eyes and a charming allure said excitedly.

“Mistress, don’t mind him! Me and my people are enough to fulfil your orders!”

A pure gaze looked directly into my eyes with his glowing golden eyes and his silver hair fluttered in the wind while his wings were spread out majestically to block the other’s view as I couldn’t see him anymore.

The vampire bared his fangs and hissed in annoyance while pushing the other’s wings away.

Two beautiful women, one seductive and one angelic, stepped forward dragging them apart.

“We are sorry mistress for our husband’s childish behaviour!”

“Umm, who are you?”

I glanced at the angel and was flabbergasted.

“We are your servants!”

She said as if a matter of course.

The woman vampire was strangling her husband, I think, under her arm and looked at me with a question mark above her head.

“You created us mistress. You are the one who made us who we are!”

“Created?”

The angel showed me a smile.

“With your magic of creation you gave us life and while you made us who we are, we know everything about you and what you desire. We know that right now you need help with healing your brother and we angels are perfect for the job!”

The male angel revived because he was send flying moments ago and nodded his head at his wife’s words.

“We just need the orders!”

“All right then! If you are capable of it then I certainly need the help!”

“I’m on it mistress!”

With that, the angel king flew away while I started thinking it would be bad if he got discovered.
